| The president and CEO of conservative group American Majority Action (AMA) is demanding Republicans band together to fire House Speaker John Boehner. “Speaker Boehner has been an abysmal failure as speaker, and his latest purge is the nail in the coffin for conservatives,” AMA’s Ned Ryun said in a statement. “Boehner has never won a negation battle with the White House or Senate—and he’s been nothing short of an embarrassing spokesman for the Conservative Movement. It’s time for him to go.” Ryun pointed out, too, that if conservatives want to unseat Boehner, they’d only need 16 members

The democrats could certainly find the 16 members needed to keep this failure of a leader without trying to hard if 16 Republicans abstain. Why wouldn´t they? He always plays right into their hands. Boehner is the best friend a liberal/Progressive/Communist could have. In fact, I don´t know why he doesn´t switch parties.

I have it on very good authority that Boehner is a personal friend of Obama! That would explain a lot of his cooperation with the Democrats!!

I´ve just written to my congressman asking him to do just that. BTW, #1, none of the Dems are going to vote for him anyway so they do not have 16 members to "change their minds".

They´re tooo chicken to go against Boehner. ...he will fire them from their committees... I know the repubs could find a better leader. Boehner is by far the worse leader in history. All he cares about is golf, what the WP, & NY Times says about him. Newt said by allowing the gov to be shut down he got a balanced budget & welfare reform.

´it takes 16 to remove the speaker´ - if that is so, it should be very possible to remove Boehnor, and if the speaker doesn´t have to be elected I think Allen West would be ideal - he speaks the truth and he isn´t afraid of anyone.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
