| Michigan Information & Research Service reports: The House and Senate will take up Right to Work (RTW) legislation today, Republican sources familiar with negotiations told MIRS. Legislation will be for both private and public workers. The plan is for both chambers to take up legislation today. Gov. Rick SNYDER, House Speaker Jase BOLGER (R-Marshall) and Senate Majority Leader Randy RICHARDVILLE (R-Monroe) have scheduled a media roundtable at 11 a.m. today. Normally, I wouldn´t care what goes on in Michigan, but this is an exception. First, it will help break the stranglehold that unions have on the nation, second I believe there will be increase efficiency, which this nation as a whole desperately needs. Finally, maybe with the passage of this law that maybe Michigan´s economy will improve enough so that it won´t require, We the People, the taxpayers to help to bail out them.

The idea that Nancy Pelosi would again become Speaker after the 2014 elections was always something of a Democrat fantasy. It may be a good story to get a lefty to sleep at night, but it wasn´t likely to happen. In the last 100 years, only once has a President´s party picked up seats in the sixth year of a term. Redistricting in 2011 has put many of the seats the Democrats need out of reach. Whatever confluence of events Democrats envisioned would allow them to retake the House have been swept aside by the IRS scandal.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
