Good article, Mr. Walsh - BUT - instead of saying: "... Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans...." let´s call them by their names: Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty and Sean Smith. These are real people, real heroes, who died in the line of duty - let´s honor them by keeping their identity and humanity before the American people. It´s the least we can do for their heartbroken families.

I entertain the thought that this preseent government isn´t going to win this situation. I just believe that the men and women who have respect for one another will find a way to bring this to an honorable
end.
Obama and his people follow orders and therefore I feel they lack creative ideas and plans. They are clever but not very intelligent. There are more ways to skin a cat than the obvious.
These men and their families, plus all of us who have strong feelings for these wonderful people who gave their life will prevail.

In fairness to the CIA (and other IC agencies), they do have some understandable need to obfuscate in their briefs to the White House. Politicians and this particular administration especially, are notorious leakers. (Recall that Senator “Leaky” Leahy had to be removed as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee for repeatedly leaking.)
When putting sources and agents in harm’s way, the agency has a duty to protect them, and thus when detailing or revealing sources and methods in, say, a Presidential Daily Brief, knowing that the administration will likely leak it, the agency is understandably tempted to be less than forthright.
In other words, the blame comes back, to a degree, to Obama himself.

Speaking on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" program on the 6-month anniversary of the deadly storm, the Republican governor said presidential politics were the last thing on his mind as he toured storm-devastated areas with Obama last fall. "The president has kept every promise he´s made," said Christie, widely considered a potential candidate for the republican presidential nomination in 2016. "I think he´s done a good job. He kept his word."

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
