Pundits Pin Blame For Murderer
Jovan Belcher On Everything But Him

Daily Beast, by Buzz Bissinger

Original Article

I hear the swell and crescendo of violin strings. I smell the stench of the concussionista conspiracists trying to make a murderer who subsequently committed suicide into the newest poster boy for pro-football players who commit acts of violence because of head injuries. It’s a 24-hour journalism cycle now. The web is stuffed with idle innuendo, stories that pose ominous questions to whet reader appetite but never answer them because there are no facts to answer them. Victims are hot, even one who kills a woman friend with nine bullets, then kills himself to leave their three-month-old-daughter an orphan.

Well, we know for a fact that the US voters who chose the Trillionaire on 6 November did so because of a series of concussions they suffered.
Right? Right?

How can we blame the killer.

His mama said she heard him say.......

You can´t talk to me like that!

Isn´t that reason enough to murder someone?

This baby needs to be removed far far way from the Belcher family.

This event is a symptom of a much larger problem. Blacks make up about 17% of the population; they commit 85-90% of the crimes (can we say Chicago), black males fill up the prisons, the nuclear black family...mother father and kids living under the same roof as a family and employed...is a very small % of the black population, single mothers giving birth...70%+, and on and on.

This is never discussed ever in the media. The facts are there to support a detailed examination of the black culture but it is never done. Can we all say dysfunctional!!!! Rather than point out the glaringly obvious, it is "whitey´s fault", "can´t get no jobs...of course they can´t no jobs because they aren´t educated enough to get one (black males)", "we needs a jobs program specifically for black males...and I ask, what types of jobs would that be when most can´t read, write or do basic math."

And so we have another sad story...Belcher....he is guilty of murder. He was on his way to prison or a grave anyhow. The NFL was just a stopping place before one of those two occurred. One more story in a very long book of a dysfunctional culture. The percentages don´t lie.

If the media is going to point fingers they begin by looking in the mirror. Media attention drives fan adulation and huge salaries, all which has contributed to a culture in which star athletes start to believe none of the rules of civil behavior apply to them.

This was the common thinking back when I was a kid in NYC. It was so wrong headed and, for this white kid trying to grow into manhood in NYC and having half the adults taking the side of the street thugs ("well, it isn´t right that you get mugged or threatened everyday that you walk the streets but these kids come from bad circumstances...blah blah blah," in the meantime, my circumstances were just as bad but because I was white, it didn´t count) I was hoping that the Guiliani era (along with others who emulate Rudy) would have put an end to it. No such luck. The country is gone. America is over. I´m just going to take care of me and my family now.

Todd Schnitt´s radio talk show had an interesting caller yesterday. He was the father of a boy who had been bullied incessantly by Jovan Belcher to the point the family finally moved from NY. Father said the son would go to the store and Belcher and his homies would wait for him outside the store and beat him up. He also got it going to and/or from school. They stole his bike. I bet he will not be missed by anyone other than the thug type.

No one cares about the real victim--the woman he killed. And on top of everything else, he was a coward, who was afraid to face up to the punishment he deserved. Something tells me, however, that he is finding a much worse punishment now.

This is about the NFL itself, guys. If it can be either proven or even strongly supported scientifically that this could be the result of head trauma, any number of current and pending lawsuits by ex-players are going to be greatly strengthened. This is the reason for those awful ads they have been running during games, showing all the efforts they are making to keep players of all ages "safe." ESPN spent the first day pretending this was a car wreck as opposed to a murder, knowing damned good and well where their bread is buttered.

These uncontrolled rage murders are a part of black culture in America today, they happen all the time in the big cities, but the liberal media will not address these issues in an in-dept and honest way due to runaway political correctness.

You can forget about any black person who writes opinion pieces, who is a media commentator, or elsewhere appears in the entertainment industry to ever criticize another black person for any serious crime that a black person perpetrated, all you hear from them is oblique blame and excuses aimed elsewhere, that never hold the black perpetrator personally responsible for his or her own criminal actions. As long as absolute denial of fact like that continues, the social and criminal issues that the black communities face will only get worse.

Re. #7:

It is because blacks are being used by the democrats. The left doesn´t give a hoot about black people, beyond their usefulness in politics. They just keep giving them things, using tax dollars, so they will keep voting democrat. They also have been trained to respond to the racial issue by giving in to their emotions, instead of thinking about things and understanding the truth. The democrats have cast themselves as the saviors of blacks from the racist Republicans. It really doesn´t take much thinking and observing to see the lies, but the lies has been introduced into the black culture by democrats. We have seen what happens to black people who go against the black dogma....

There must be a whole lot of young black men with concussions and guns in Chicago ..and Detroit and Oakland..etc.
If an NFL player had been in the consulate at Benghazi ,
perhaps the murders of Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith ,
Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty might have gotten
a fraction of the media attention
they have now given to a murderer over the past five days.
Belcher had at least two girlfriends , one illegitimate child
and was in counseling provided by the Chiefs.
Before she knew that he had killed himself , his mother gave a timeline and alibi to the police , which no longer holds up- she may have been trying to give him
an excuse when his case came to trial.
He was reported to be taking pain killers ( which would be contraindicated with a head injury ) and abusing alcohol.
Was he also taking steroids ? If the toxicology report has any
negatives in it, expect it to get the same coverage as Benghazi.
None.

Generally a pretty solid column. Not worth noting a few specific bits of disagreement here. Good job, Mr. B. I will note, though, that the monster, Belcher, apparently had rather more of a history than this column mentions. I say this not as criticism, but to inform those who may not have been aware of that part of the background.

Also, the N.O. Saints injury-bounty criminality was really never addressed in the general media, and certainly not among the sports boffins. It was all about whether it was "really that organized," and how many games the coach should be suspended for.

NFL owners and the broadcasters had better realize that the immortal Golden Goose has yet to be hatched. Theirs is mortal, like all the rest. Keep bringing in thugs, keep making excuses, never hold them responsible -- know what pate´ is, guys? Do ya?

Oh -- all that preening and prancing on the field after nearly every play needs to be penalized and stopped. Ya made a tackle? Big whoop. Got any idea how many tackles have been made in the league before you get here, Big Shot?

#2: Hmmm. Could be you have the best answer yet.

#5: And will next time, too!

#7: Specifically on the unemployment issue -- would anyone determining the factors for a pool of applicants want: a. proximate or actual illiteracy; b. innumeracy; c. poor spoken-language skills; d. "attitude"; e. high probability of a past criminal record; f. "attitude"; g. high probability of a future criminal record; h. "attitude"; i. unreliability; j. poor past job performance; k. "attitude"?

#10: #9 is sarcasm.

#21: Can´t blame "our society." It´s not monolithic. That´s like blaming concussions. Plenty of posters right here blame the guilty party.

On upcoming trip, Obama

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will leave Tuesday for a four-nation trip to Asia, looking to recharge a focus on the region, an ambitious initiative that’s been sidetracked by domestic politics and international conflicts elsewhere. Yet even as Obama attempts to boost his effort to emphasize U.S. interest in Asia, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intervention in Ukraine is complicating efforts to reassure Asian nations _ which share the region with an increasingly assertive China - that the U.S. is committed to their security. The administration’s efforts to refocus U.S. policy toward Asia were already being questioned in the region with the departure

One of the Obama administration’s favorite themes is the idea that Republicans have been waging a “war on women.” Though Democrats may overestimate the appeal of this canard, the notion that troglodyte conservatives seek to send American women back to the 19th century has become a form of conventional wisdom, especially in the liberal mainstream media. But though that war is a piece of fakery rooted in the confusion between political liberalism and gender equality, there is little doubt about the reality of another war on women: the one that is being waged by left-wing ideologues against any female Republican

Turning the tables remains the first refuge of liars called on their mendacity. “I was hurt,” Elizabeth Warren relays in her new autobiography, “and I was angry.” The second-year senator speaks of her 2012 political opponent using her claims of Native American ancestry against her during the campaign. Elizabeth Warren could pass for Bull Connor’s sister. She couldn’t pass for Sitting Bull’s second cousin five times removed. So when the 2012 debate descended into genealogists arguing over whether Warren’s great-great-great grandmother was or wasn’t partly Cherokee, the law-professor-turned-candidate winning the question meant that she had already lost it. Timing is everything in politics and the latest Fox News poll suggests the timing of the 2014 midterm election could not be worse for President Obama and his fellow Democrats. With public approval of Congress in the single digits, senators and representatives in both parties may face the most challenging political environment of their careers. President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
