Report: CIA ´officials´
behind Benghazi talking points

A Republican lawmaker says a new report that details how references to al-Qaeda were removed from White House talking points on the U.S. Consulate attack in Benghazi is further evidence the Obama administration tried to mislead the public about what happened. (Snip) Chaffetz was responding to a report in Tuesday´s Wall Street Journal that CIA "officials" wanted the terrorist origins of the attack kept from the public because the spy agency did not want certain al-Qaeda operatives to know it was monitoring its communications. The report cites "sources from a cross section of

So, they drop a dime on General Preatus [CIA] and he´s not there [intentionally by 0bama] to defend himself. We could ask his former mistress who had access to classified intel.

This explanation makes no sense. If we were eavesdropping, then we would have known an attack was coming and could have gotten the ambassador out of harm´s way. If the CIA was eavesdropping and did nothing, then Stevens and Smith were sacrificed. We certainly didn´t worry about jeopardizing info gleamed after our SEALs got OBL.

An article that stated the building was not a consulate, but an annex for the CIA in Benghazi and did not Fly the US Flag was one of the reasons this Admin. wanted to keep the public from knowing about the procurement of guns, ammo, etc. being shuttled to Turkey and Syria to arm the Jihadist there. A more advanced program of the Fast and Furious game.

These idiots are still trying to salvage Rice for SoS,that´s all this is about. Now that three´s no one at the CIA to deflect blame,it´s open season on them.

But why would anybody want a top government post now that the government spies on everybody?

How do we even know the attackers were AlQueda? Did they leave a calling card? There´s a lot more to this than they´re letting on.After reading about NSA´s data mining procedures,it´s possible Petraeus was blackmailed into keeping the truth a secret here.

This administration would be perfect for any real comedy shows...which we no longer have. It writes it´s own materials. What astounds me is the level of intelligence of the average voter in this country. I had not realized it was that low and lacking all common sense.

Everyone in this administration, including Rice, Obama and Clinton, immediately after the attack began peddling the false narrative that (1) the attacks were spontaneous, and (2) the video made them happen. This commenced at once and without the least hesitancy or qualification or possibility that it might have been otherwise. Clinton and Obama went around apologizing for the video, expressing their disgust and loathing of its content, and regretting that America´s "tradition" prevented them from punishing the producer who, in any event, was arrested and imprisoned on another, unrelated charge.

These people must think we are crazy. The news media must think we are crazy. Maybe we are - we re-elected this bunch. But we heard and saw them saying the above over and over again. Now a smokescreen is being laid down as to who said or did what about the talking points as reviewed by two dozen different government agencies, and whether the attacks were to be attributed to Al-Quaeda etc. But that is not the issue, not at all. The issue is that they immediately started to lie and say the attacks were spontaneous and were caused by the video, when they knew perfectly well this was not the case, regardless of who specifically was responsible for the attacks.

They lied for all they were worth- and now they are lying about lying. And their faithful co-conspirators in the Democrat party and the news media are right there with them as usual, backing them up.

The Obama people put out this lie right away hoping that the terrorists would simply pick up that talking point-yes it was the video that made us mad and want to kill people. Oh, the video made you do it? Oh ok, we are bad Americans, you are good terrorists and you have a right to take revenge.

I certainly believe that we were peddling arms to so called rebels but the real fact is that we did not rescue these men.

We left Stevens there to die. Obamao went to bed with no idea or CARE IN THE WORLD if Stevens was dead or alive.

These constant new narratives cannot change that cold blooded fact.

And how convenient to at first say the creator the film was an Israeli.

This entire administration makes me ill.

I heard a report on the radio yesterday that was essentially blaming the GOP for continuing to investigate this when Ms Rice was only repeating what she was told. It was as if this was all about her, no mention of the four lives lost. I can´t believe how the LSM is just ignoring those four lives. It is time for their family members to ruffle some feathers again.

Here is what happened.

We had no consulate or mission in B. We had a CIA gunrunning op. After the attack we had to come up with a story [´Consulate´] rather than the truth. It is just that this admin is especially stupid when it comes to telling lies. And that is surprising with all the practice they have had.

Regardless of semantics.. Consulate or embassy, there was video and a situation room watching developments.

There was repeated requests for help.. Denied three times.
I would say this was operationally a SNAFU. However, the willingness to let good men die is murder.

They´re still throwing stuff against the wall to see what´s going to stick.

If I understand what I have read about this issue, Obama was the only person who had any authority to make the call here. So the White House has a problem. They either admit that this president hasn´t the faintest idea of what is going on around him or they find him guilty of murder and of the apparent weaponry crimes which led to the murders.
.... I suspect they will keep attempting to find a believable fall guy.

#11. You are correct that it was a gun running operation. But, it was also an ´interogation center.´ Think waterboarding.

The Intel for the attack was probably provided by the Russians.

"It sends a signal of weakness, that you can attack and kill an American ambassador and pay no price,"

There are now two articles in the Must Read list which speak of signaling that America is weak and ripe for being attacked. The American Spectator article entitled "Planting the Seeds of His Own Demise" also mentions the world´s perception of America´s new weakness.

What America needs right now is a mega dose of testosterone or intestinal fortitude to fight the Obama regime and his Democrats and progressives.

Somewhere in this country someone will emerge and will challenge O´s destructive lies and actions, and I hope that this someone doesn´t worry about it being pretty.

As more and more people wake up to what is going on, their ire is rising. The victims of hurricane Sandy are a prime example of justifiable anger over how they´ve been treated and misled. I was heartened over the weekend when those poor people took FEMA to task in a heated town hall type of meeting.

Good people who are genuinely outraged by anything Obama is doing should scream and shout and get really p!$$ED off in front of the cameras. Hopefully, it will spill over and rally other good people to give themselves permission to lose their tempers. God only knows we´ve had to put up with Muslim outrage and fake SEIU and ACORN outrage over the last four years. Now it´s our turn and it needs to be done until O is out of office along with 2/3 of the Democrats in Washington.

You´re right #2, 11, 16. Something fishy was going on in Benghazi. Whatever it was (or is), that is the basis for the Obama Admin´s coverup. The Hillary-appointed commission investigating will report a nothingburger. And the House Pubbies only seemed concerned w/ who rewrote the "talking points" and why Rice lied (there, I said it). Find out the REAL reason a relatively unguarded ambassador was doing in that lawless town on a 9/11 anniversary, what those U.S. facilities were for, and what our courageous former SEALs were doing as CIA contractors. I hope there are a modern day Woodward and Bernstein establishing their journalistic chops by getting to the bottom of all this.

IIRC, early in the investigation it was stated that there was an Al Queda Facebook post that claimed responsibility for the attack.

Ohhhhh! Do you mean the CIA doesn´t want anyone to know they are monitoring Al Queda Facebook postings? Top Secret Hush Hush tradecraft there.

I posted three months ago that the real story is what was going on in that "CIA Annex." Maybe the truth will finally come out.

The Real Talking Points

1. Who ordered reaction forces to stand down?
2. Why were reaction forces ordered to stand down?
3. Why no elite armed Marines skilled in Embassy protection in a war torn Islamic nation known for jihadist recruitment?
4. Why local jihadists hired to protect USA consular mission, overseen by a British company issued no more than batons?
5. Benghazi Police ... where were they for 7 hours? (there is a police force)
6. Libyan military. Where were they for 7 hours? (currently 30,000 men under arms and rebuilding)

These are the real questions, not who shot John

Classic indications of a cover-up:

Redirection: The administration and their MSM lackeys are doing their best to draw our attention to something else - anything else, like Petraeus´ affair.

Narrative testing: They run a new narrative up the flagpole every few days (we didn´t know we were lying for the first 3 weeks; this isn´t anything significant - Republicans are just politicizing it, nobody knows who changed the talking points, etc.)

Minimal effort to learn the truth: While CNN, some freelance journalists and others combed through the Benghazi rubble, the FBI team sent to investigate the attack arrived in Libya, but refused – for weeks - to go to Benghazi because it was too dangerous. Yet instead of sending a small contingent of marines to either secure the site or escort the FBI, Obama was content to do nothing to assist the investigation. Has anyone outside of Obama’s inner circle (who are part of the cover-up) been allowed to even speak with any of the “consulate staff” who were rescued?

You know what they say: If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck and quacks like a duck...

I have no doubt that the report was altered in behalf of the CIA to cover up the operation to run arms from Libya to Syria which Stevens was orchestrating. I doubt if the CIA personnel actually did the altering. If Rice relayed inaccurate information on the attack (lied) who did and why was the report embellished with the phoney video story that Rice was spreading?

A TRIBUTE TO THOSE “LEFT OUT THERE TO DIE”
by Col. William Bauer, USMC
The Battling Bastards of Benghazi

We´re the Battling Bastards of Benghazi ,
no fame, no glory, no paparazzi.
Just a fiery death in a blazing hell,
defending the country we loved so well.
It wasn´t our job, but we answered the call,
fought to the consulate, ´n scaled th´ wall.
We pulled twenty countrymen from the jaws of fate,
led them to safety, ´n stood at th´ gate.
Just the two of us, ´n foe by th´ score,
but we stood fast to bar th´ door.
We called for reinforcement, but it was denied,
so we fought, ´n we fought, ´n we fought, ´n we died.
We gave our all for our Uncle Sam,
´n Obama didn´t give a damn,
just two dead SEALS, who carried the load,
no thanks to us, we were bumps in the road.

Washington - The CIA’s former top lawyer disputes Senate findings that the spy agency lied about its brutal interrogations of terrorists, insisting the tactics produced useful intelligence and flatly denying that the CIA misled the former Bush administration, Congress and the American public. At the same time, John Rizzo, who left the CIA as acting general counsel in 2009, said some CIA employees or contractors were overzealous in the use of the tactics but that the CIA informed lawyers at the Justice Department of the excesses. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn.
