| Jackson, Mississippi - Another man has pleaded guilty to hate crime charges in the death of a black man who was run over by a pickup truck in Mississippi. William Montgomery, who is white, pleaded guilty Tuesday to hate crime charges in the death of James Craig Anderson, who was beaten and run over in Jackson on June 26, 2011. Anderson was a 47-year-old worker at a car plant. Three white men had previously pleaded guilty in Anderson´s death. Also Tuesday, Jonathan Gaskamp, who is also white, pleaded guilty to two federal hate crime charges in racially motivated attacks on other black people

Comments: Life in prison is not going to be easy for anyone pleading guilty to murder and agreeing that it was a hate crime. It would seem that when you do kill anyone with malice, there has got to be some level of hate in your heart. Of course these are white on black crimes, so the AP reports immediately to make the 11 o´clock news.

Black murders, rapes or tortures white victim, run of the mill crime the MSM doesn´t think worthy of story. Drunk teenager from Mississippi does a stupid crime by being in the vehicle when another stupid white drunk runs someone down in a drug infested area of SE Jackson and its national news. Man bites dog. You did not here about the three blacks from Jackson in the last six months went to Mississippi State and murdered a white student while trying to rip him off, oh that´s right no hate crime here.

So-called "hate crimes" are thought crimes. Period.
Thought crimes have no place -- no place -- in the U.S.
[I really don´t have to provide any explanation, do I?]

Hate crimes are unconstitutional because they violate equal protection and the punish thought. That isn´t even the worst of it. You have double jeopardy when the person is cleared of a hate crime in a state and then the feds can prosecute the same charge.
The liberal theory says that it´s impossible for minorities to be racists because they don´t have the political or economic power to inflict harm on anyone.
In today´s thinking,it´s not only impossible for minorities to be racists but it´s also fashionable and acceptable for black on white beat downs,so whitey can feel what´s it´s like to be oppressed.

President Obama’s speech on Thursday was the most important statement on counterterrorism policy since the 2001 attacks, a momentous turning point in post-9/11 America. For the first time, a president stated clearly and unequivocally that the state of perpetual warfare that began nearly 12 years ago is unsustainable for a democracy and must come to an end in the not-too-distant future. “Our systematic effort to dismantle terrorist organizations must continue,” Mr. Obama said in the speech at the National Defense University. “But this war, like all wars, must end. That’s what history advises.

Madrid - On May 1, 2021 Baltasar Garzón’s suspension from the bench for authorizing illegal wiretaps in the Gürtel corruption investigation will expire. The crusading magistrate will be 65. “On that day I will return to take up my post as a judge,” says Garzón from Bogota, from where is to travel to Argentina this weekend. Since his disqualification, Garzón has been a nomad, with seven jobs in six countries, including serving as director of the International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights in Argentina; a University of Washington post; and advisor to the Colombia Attorney

Hong Kong - The new H7N9 bird flu virus can be transmitted between mammals not only via direct contact but also in airborne droplets, and may be capable of spreading from person to person, Chinese and American researchers have found. (Snip) "The findings suggest that the possibility of this virus evolving further to form the basis of a future pandemic threat cannot be excluded," said the research team, led by bird flu expert and microbiologist Yi Guan. The virus can also infect pigs, but could not be transmitted from pig to pig or from pigs to other animals, the study showed, although

Washington - Across-the-board budget cuts have created Furlough Friday in Washington and elsewhere, as the one-day closing of four federal agencies forced an unpaid day off for 115,000 workers. Employees at the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Internal Revenue Service and the Office of Management and Budget stayed home on Friday. The furlough affects about 5 percent of the federal workforce, according to Cory Bythrow, communications director at the National Federation of Federal Employees, a union representing government

The rugged landscape created by volcanic eruptions and tectonic plate shifts in east and south Africa millions of years ago may be what prompted our human ancestors to start walking on two legs, a study said Friday. The research published in the journal Antiquity challenges the commonly-held theory that early hominins (members of the broad human family) were forced onto two feet on the ground because climate change reduced the number of trees they lived in. (Snip) "Our research shows that bipedalism may have developed as a response to the terrain, rather than a response to climatically-driven

Annapolis, Md. - President Obama used a commencement speech before Naval Academy graduates on Friday to urge them to follow an “inner compass” and to warn that rising numbers of sexual assaults in the military threatened to erode America’s faith in the armed forces. The president praised the military as the nation’s “most trusted institution,” but took note of the recent cases in which service members have been charged with sexual assault. He said those people “threaten the trust and discipline which makes our military strong.” “We need your honor, that inner compass that guides

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
