The vast majority of faculty and staff members from the nation’s top Catholic universities donated to President Barack Obama’s campaign over Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s this cycle, according to a new report. Ninety-one percent of the employees at 23 different Catholic schools gave to Obama, according to Federal Elections Commission data available on OpenSecrets.org and analysed by the conservative college site Campus Reform. Much has been made of Obama’s Affordable Care Act mandate requiring employers to provide contraception coverage, a requirement that church officials say conflicts with Catholic religious doctrine,

Never will I give a cent to The Won. But politics makes people act strange. My grandfather hated, loathed and despised Franklin Roosevelt and voted for him all four times. He was a Democrat and that´s all that mattered to my grandfather.

Good article. thanks for posting. it seems to back up what we have seen happening to us. The Catholics Colleges in America are still promoting social justice against the specific directions of the Pope. Georgetown, Notre Dame , Seattle U and some others are definitely not good choices anymore. There are other Jesuit institutions that still offer well rounded quality education. As a parent , I am glad to be almost done with this worry. Glad none of them Majored in worthless Resentment Studies. They also will pay back their loans because it is the right thing to do.

The Catholic bishops should review these lists and purge those who supported Obama. I think the church needs to get tough on people like Biden and Pelosi who are "faux" Catholics. I would excommunicate the two of them as an example of a new "get tough" policy.

#4 nailed it. And as far as leadership of the Sheeple by German Shepard Benedict XV and Cardinal Dolan, head Beanie Boy of USCCB, they lead with wordy philosophical blather which most of the hierarchy doesn´t understand, even more so the laity.

How is it detestable for liberal progressives to bash religion, but perfectly acceptable on this conservative website to allow such hateful rhetoric to stand? What happened to Lucianne´s order for civil respect in her salon, not a saloon? All Catholics did not vote or contribute to the horrible forces that put Obama in a second term. Anyone in a lynch party to hang all of a group based on a portion of that group´s actions are no better than hood wearing buffoons. wow.

Unfortunately, as another poster has pointed out, liberalism is a religion unto itself and it trumps traditional religion. Not all the employees in Catholic institutions are Catholic and some who are can be referred to as "Cafeteria Catholics". Its just like the Jews who vote for Zippy even though he has been openly hostile to Israel.

Everything zippy stands for and preaches goes against Church teachings - period.

I agree it´s time to publicly purge the high profile faux like Pelosi, Biden, Sebelius and so many others.

On Pascua Yakui Indian Reservation, Ariz. — Tribal police chief Michael Valenzuela drove through darkened desert streets, turned into a Circle K convenience store and pointed to the spot beyond the reservation line where his officers used to take the non-Indian men who battered Indian women. “We would literally drive them to the end of the reservation and tell them to beat it,” Valenzuela said. “And hope they didn’t come back that night. They almost always did.” About three weeks ago, at 2:45 a.m., the tribal police were called to the reservation home of an Indian woman who was allegedly

More than 600 teachers have walked out of Wake County Schools since the start of the school year. The school district says people are leaving for many reasons. Some for jobs in other states. Others are getting out of the profession entirely. However, many have a common reason -- not enough pay.Thursday´s announcement came as the debate over teacher pay escalates. North Carolina teachers haven´t had a pay increase in five years. They currently rank among the lowest paid in the country. School leaders say they´re seeing a 41 increase in teacher resignations over the same period last year, and teachers

A new lawsuit alleges that “X-Men” director Bryan Singer sexually abused an underage boy at a lurid California sex party. The bombshell suit claims the director of blockbuster hits like “Superman Returns” used his position in Hollywood to exploit young men by taking part in a sex ring. The lawsuit, filed by attorney Jeff Herman, charges that Singer attended parties at a mansion in Encino, California where adult males did drugs and had sex with teenage boys. The teen mentioned in the suit never consented to sexual relations with Singer and often persisted, it states, according to a press release from Herman’s

An 89-year-old Navajo woman wants the land she´s lived on all her life to be left to her family once she dies. But here´s the catch; she lives inside a national park, and age-old conflicts between the family and the National Parks Service may prevent that from happening. Stella Peshlakai Smith, who barely speaks any English, was born in what is now the Wupatki National Monument north of Flagstaff in 1924, a month before the land became part of a national park. The TCM (Turner Classic Movies) cable channel celebrated its twentieth anniversary yesterday. It did so in grand style, rebroadcasting movies from its first day on the air (Gone With the Wind and It Happened One Night). After GWTW, TCM broadcast an interesting interview with host-for-life Robert Osborne conducted by Alec Baldwin. I have been a high volume consumer of TCF roughly since day one. I am a little vague on Ted Turner’s acquisition of the rights to just about every worthwhile movie ever made, but with TCM, he is putting them to good — even ingenious — use. The films

Authorities said Monday that a pair of sex offenders suspected of raping and murdering at least four women probably wore their court-ordered GPS devices during the crimes. Franc Cano, 27, and Steven Dean Gordon, 45, had been required to wear the devices after serving time in prison for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 14. Police on Monday also said that they are now “confident” that there is a fifth victim -- and perhaps more -- in a string of slayings that has been tied to a pair of registered sex offenders. The men were formally Monday charged

Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less
