U.S. military court removes
judge in Fort Hood massacre case

San Antonio, Texas - The top U.S. military appellate court on Monday ruled that the judge presiding over the case of an Army major charged with a 2009 massacre at Fort Hood, Texas is not impartial and ordered him removed. The court also set aside the order by the judge, Colonel Gregory Gross, that accused gunman Major Nidal Hasan be forcibly shaved. The action by the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces further delays the trial of Hasan, 42, who is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder after he allegedly opened fire on soldiers and support personnel in a room

Fools, and the laughingstock of the Arab world. A military that plays by these rules deserves the scorn of the citizens who support it.

And here we chat and think the Military would be on our side??? Things have changed. I pray I´m wrong.

Only the special forces would be on our side, I fear. I think too many of the others would be glorified union cops...

Too bad the civilian police weren´t better shots.

Am I the only one who thinks it´s ridiculous that none of our soldiers had weapons and ammo? Could they at least have paint ball guns? Or BB guns? Jeez.

Cripes, the stinkin´ military judges are still arguing about what brand of shaving cream to use on the jihadist.

Insanity. Absolute insanity. And abject cowering before "islam." The terrorist Major is still a Major in the US Army- shave his murdering mug already.

Hasan should have been executed within 30 days of the massacre. The fact that he was not shows you how far we have fallen.

I´ll bet the judge´s removal was ordered by the SecDef or by 0bama to appease muslims.

So the Appeals Court is saying that Hassan doesn´t have to follow Army regulations so that must mean he is an unlawful enemy combatant is not subuject to the UCMJ. Throw him Gitmo and let him rot there for awhile then execute him.

Justice has been denied. We are well into the joke stage now. It appears to be ok to murder if you are a troglodyte terrorist.
Dont pad your travel voucher though. You still get Leavenworth for that.

From my Monday Morning QB perspective it looks like the court fell into the trap of deciding to deal calmly with every detail and any objection. That can lead to infinite delay.

A smart civilian judge will not tolerate it or hesitate. The trial proceeds even if the defendant must be bound and gagged.

A defense can always appeal but seldom can successfully stall.

This case must seem a farce to most world.

It is an offense to human kind that Hasan breathes. Any questions?

He´s not entitled to the appellation of "Major." He long ago rejected his oath and responsibilities and began acting with our enemies.

#2: There are some 2-million-plus uniformed military. They´re not monolithic in their views.

#4: Hasan was hit some number of times, I don´t remember how many, or where. But certainly some blame must adhere to the use of 9mm ["compatible with what the Eunics use" -- whoopee] instead of the magnificent designed-for-the-military John Moses Browning M1911. I wonder to whether they were stuck using hardball, not JHP.

I will say it again, since no one is putting the pieces of this puzzle together on their own.

Obama is CiC. Obama must sign the death certificate. The trial, and death sentence will NEVER conclude during the Obama presidency.

Why? It is illegal for muslims to kill each other, by decree or physical hand, according to Sharia law.

Mark my words, and come back in 4 more years with your outrage when you finally wake up.

The Muslim in Chief will not sign the death certificate. He CAN´T.

Remember, Hasan was on Obama´s presidential transition team for HHS. Watch this guy... I don´t think he´ll be allowed to walk but minimally placed in a comfy place for the rest of his life. FYI... right after the massacre, Hasan said he did it because Obama was taking too long.

I wonder what hand Barry played in this. After all, ill winds are blowing against this murdering muslim.

Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand walked into a Senate Armed Services committee markup Wednesday prepared to fight. Her expected opponents: committee chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.), conservatives on the committee, and many other members of both parties in a quest to strip military commanders out of the process for prosecuting sexual assault cases. But Gillibrand walked away with a very unlikely ally: Tea party freshman Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. Cruz made a surprise announcement (snip) that he would support Gillibrand´s effort to afford military prosecutors, not commanders, the power to decide which sexual assault cases to try…

A town in western Sweden has agreed to pay damages to a man who was told he wouldn´t be hired if he refused to shake a woman´s hand for religious reasons. The decision by officials in Trollhättan to pay the man 30,000 kronor ($4,500) means the municipality won´t have to face a review of the case by Sweden´s Equality Ombudsman (Diskriminerings ombudsmannen). The incident stemmed from an office visit by a man who had been offered an internship with the integration division at Trollhättan municipality.

Among the thousands of people who will celebrate the Irish and Ireland this weekend, you´ll find a small group whose accents give them away as natives of the Emerald Isle. They might stand out as the only people not draped in bright green from head to toe. Although members of the most recent wave of immigrant Irish are happy and proud to find Western New Yorkers exuberantly celebrating their culture and heritage, they also are a bit perplexed by some of our traditions.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
