#7, blacks don´t hold the francise when it comes to fools. Typically the number of fools in a specific group is roughly proportional to the percentage size of that group. The real irony in Sheila Jackson Lee´s remarks is that black men are cheated the most on social security.
black men are more likely to be single, so if they die before retirement age, they lose everything.
Compounding that is the fact that black male life expectancy is substantially less than that of whites, so even if they live to collect social security, they will not collect for nearly as many years as whites.
I would think that an african american congresswoman, who represents a majority minority congressional district, would ponder that irony.

Since we are in the South and our elections are overseen by the Federal Courts, we play a game every 10 years of defining election maps. Sheila is protected by court battles lasting more that a year to play connect the minorities. The game has become more complicated because minorities are intermixed. In cities like Houston or Dallas, white voters are shunted to surrounding districts while the remainder is grouped into intertwined Hispanic or black dominated districts. It gets harder and harder and a 3rd minority (gay) might well make it impossible.

After their two decades on the Tax Teat, these "public servants" don´t much care what happens.
