Our looming national suicide
dwarfs any fiscal cliff

To the stunned surprise of much of the nation, voters awarded Obama four years to continue his “transformation” of America. No matter what future historical research will claim, this election was driven more by personal self-interest than by any understanding of national imperatives. In one fell swoop, the world’s greatest experiment in limited government, personal liberty and self-rule took a dramatic turn towards self-extinction. When exit polling says: Obama phones; “free” Obamacare; reproductive services; entitlements; food stamps; unemployment benefits; raiding the rich; and even Hurricane Sandy decided a person’s vote,

There´s gonna be a serious house-cleaning on December 21. Far too many in that septic tank, AKA congress, seem to be beyond redemption -- they are corrupt to the bone!

A bunch of strong conservative State Governors could help immensely.

The working poor thought Obama was best. Just wait until millions of them are cut back from full time to 28 hours - because of ObamaCare.

Obama is shredding the poor. But, they are too loyal or too stupid to see it.

Would love to send this to some left-of-center friends but I know that Kacer´s generous use of Biblical references would discredit all of his good points in their view as merely the rantings of yet another right-wing religious bigot who probably hates homosexuals, too.

Writer is a doomsayer who repeatedly quotes scriptures.

Worse, he brushes over the looming 2014 midterm elections and speculates in
rather ridiculous fashion about a DimWit supermajority in the Senate.

Not gonna happen.
Second terms are bad news for most prez.
Six years in, the second term midterms usually devastate.
More likely that the GOP keeps House and retakes Senate.

We are not going to surrender all sovereignty by treaty.
Bammy ain´t gonna have no clout, nutty MSM support notwithstanding.
Kacer may not be in MSM...
but he´s sounding nutty in this piece.

Completely turned off by all the religious references.
I hate to see arguments that I agree with presented this way.
There is a very good comment about this in the original source´s comment section.
This kind of presentation plays right into the hands of the media to label all of us as fanatics.

# 6 is putting on a much happier face to the present reality.
The author did a very sobering analysis
of today´s political climate.
The media , Obama and the Democrats
are going to endlessly
savage Republicans -
regardless of what they do .
As this past election season demonstrated.
The American public is now so dumbed down and so self absorbed , they are perfect subjects for the Obama media machine.
Obama´s goal is to retake the House and increase his Senate majority for his last two years.
Republicans lost 8 House seats in November.
The House is now 242 Republicans / 193 Democrats.
In 2013 , it will be 234 Republicans , 201 Democrats.
218 is the magic number for control of the House.
A swing of 17 seats in 2014 is all the Democrats need.
And the media and the Democrats
are already working on that goal.

If you feel a little ´put off´ by the threat of Sharia from the left....then put yourself in the shoes of a potential conservative VOTER who may not be a Christian.

Limited Government and FREEDOM to worship as one chooses must be the goal....not a particular religion.

The religious right means well but it´s a costly indulgence of religious enthusiasm.

I don´t want my life run by the religious right any more than I want it run by the religious left. Tax me enough to pay for good roads, then please get out of my life. What other people do is none of my business, as long as they aren´t stealing from me or trying to kill me. All of this talk about "the country collapsing", maybe it means that finally people will start minding their own business.

#4 ~ Many ancient calendars (most specifically the Mayan calendar but there are others as well) plotted days all the way up to 12/21/12; and then they.......STOP.
Thus the speculation that 12/21/12 is the ´end of all things´. The History Channel was besides itself this past weekend but there has been talk of this for the past several years.
There was even a movie.

That is because globalism and entrenched interests had caused failure in the ´experimental´ system of self-rule - long before this election. No action was taken to correct these offenses and distortions. The looming national suicide is a *result*, not a cause.

The FBI is probing past legal work done by Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis, according to a report her Republican opponent’s campaign calls a “bombshell.” The Dallas Morning News reported Friday that documents “related to Sen. Wendy Davis’ work as a lawyer for the North Texas Tollway Authority are part of an FBI inquiry of the agency.” The news outlet said it’s unclear how much this investigation revolves around Davis, the Democratic nominee for governor. “It’s not clear whether Davis’ work for the tollway authority is a focus of the FBI or only part of the material collected in connection

Researchers at Princeton and Northwestern universities have pored over 1,800 US policies and concluded that America is an oligarchy. Instead of looking out for the majority of the country’s citizens, the US government is ruled by the interests of the rich and the powerful, they found. No great surprises there, then. But the government is not the only American power whose motivations need to be rigourously examined. Some 2,400 miles away from Washington, in Silicon Valley, Google is aggressively gaining power with little to keep it in check. It has cosied up to governments around the world so effectively that its chairman,

Then-Sens. Joe Biden and John Kerry were both opposed to Hillary Clinton’s 1993 health-care reform program, according to documents released by the Clinton presidential library. Clinton marked a handwritten “No” beside Biden’s name on Clinton’s list of Capitol Hill lawmakers that she needed to win over for her universal health care law, known as the “Clinton health plan” or “Hillarycare,” to pass. John Kerry, meanwhile, was marked with a “Probably not.” “Hillarycare” ended up dying in the Democratic-controlled Senate in 1994 without coming to a floor vote. As vice president, Biden has been a loyal supporter of the Obama administration’s

Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Alexis de Tocqueville, author of the classic Democracy in America, were born in different times and places. But the French aristocrat and American think tanker have the measure of the federal behemoth in the age of Obama. Writing in 1835, Tocqueville eloquently predicted how it would function, while Crews today supplies in his annual compilation of federal rules and regulations, “10,000 Commandments,” the hard numbers that describe the behemoth´s contemporary reach and costs. It is always worthwhile to revisit de Tocqueville’s description of what he called the

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after
