| If you thought President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder had given up on closing Guantanamo Bay and bringing jihadists to American soil, think again. Two troubling developments on the Gitmo front should have every American on edge. The first White House maneuver took place in October, while much of the public and the media were preoccupied with election news. On October 2, Obama’s cash-strapped Illinois pals announced that the federal government bought out the Thomson Correctional Center in western Illinois for $165 million. According to Watchdog.org,

0bama is clearing acting like our version of a Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi [Muslim Brotherhood] in dealing with Congress. [That would make him a defacto dictator.] And like playing, "Whack-A-Mole," 0bama surfaces here, there and everywhere in his continual campaigning mode, but never where needed when a true crisis emerges [unless for a photo-op and self-adulation].

It seems the end game is to get Muslim extremists into contact with Civil Liberty activists and the US Muslim population, particularly those in prison. What could possibly go wrong? s/o

The biggest issue in the U.S. farm bill has little to do with agriculture and everything to do with partisan politics and the role of government in caring for the poor: food stamps. It has a catchier name now, SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The mark-up of the $500 billion measure approved 36-10 by the House Agriculture Committee last week cuts $20.5 billion in food assistance over 10 years to rein in SNAP´s growth. The program, which serves 47 million Americans, averages $70 billion a year, about 70 percent of farm bill spending and eclipsing the crop insurance program.

If you had been looking up at the moon at the right moment on March 17, you could have seen an unusual flash of light – a one-second burst of heat caused by the impact of a large meteoroid. No telescope required. “For about one second, the impact site was glowing like a 4th magnitude star,” NASA said in reporting the news Friday. WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable.
