The panel guests on ABC News’ This Week erupted over a discussion about United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, her role in the administration’s early push to blame the September 11 attack in Benghazi on a YouTube video and Congressional Republican’s reaction to the attack in Libya. One panel guest lamented that Republicans had not rallied around President Barack Obama as Democrats did around Ronald Reagan in the wake of an attack in Lebanon. Former Mitt Romney advisor, Dan Senor, sent the panel into a frenzy when he suggested that the Reagan administration

The facts surrounding the 1983 Lebanon attack were out in the open, nothing to hide. Benghazi, on the other hand, has been all deception, misleading statements, outright lies and cover up. When are they going to reveal the secret war? That the Benghazi "consulate" was not a consulate at all, but a secret CIA operation to send weapons for the secret war against Assad in Syria? When is the "video maker" going to be given access to the press? When is he going to be released from prison?

Let´s just sit back and enjoy the show while we watch Susan Rice and John Kerry, as they attempt to castrate each other. Such fun!
.... Of course, it´s important to note that one of these candidates is black, and anyone opposing her will be labeled a racist.

Take a front row seat and pass the popcorn.

And would the ´rats have ´rallied around´ President Reagan if he had watched, live by satellite, Americans being killed and ordered everyone to ´stand down´ and not send help? Would the ´rats have ´rallied around´ President Reagan if he had gone to bed while Americans were being killed. Would the ´rats have ´rallied around´ President Reagan if he had gone to Las Vegas the very next day for a fund-raising event? NO, they would not have, they would have been incensed and a fire-storm of rage would have fallen on President Reagan by the media. But when their guy does all this, they ignore it except to condemn those who are outraged.

Unlike Obama ,Ronald Reagan was not MIA for hours , his whereabouts unknown .
There were no whispers about Reagan being with his latest ..ahem...man friend while the Embassy burned.
Nor were there questions about Reagan´s sobriety or his love of America .
No one wondered whether Reagan was watching ESPN during the attack.
And no one would ever consider the possibility that Reagan actually watched Americans being murdered in real time and refused to act or ordered a stand down.

ABC This Week has become unwatchable, Stephanopoulos is just a smirking, smarmy agent provocateur for an insane regime, the leftist guests spouting lies and agitprop. Let a conservative thought be expressed and "the panel erupts". That is not a rational or informative discussion.

ABC-White House, CBS White House, NBC-White House. What is the point of watching these programs? The GOP shoots themselves in the feet every time they appear on these shows by providing legitimacy to the enemies of America.

How many times has the question been asked since the election on how the GOP can compete in the marketplace of ideas and get their message out to the general public? Going on the Sunday news shows won`t cut it. It is enemy territory and the GOP is preaching to choir that does not want to hear what they have to say.

Find another way!!

Keith Ellison is a credible expert on what? Racially divisive politics maybe. Islam, maybe. American history? Since when? The entire panel discussion, including Dan Senor´s point is beside the point: an Ambassador was murdered and the Administration, assisted by Linda Rice, attempted to cover it up with blatant lies. They have been successful in getting the media to focus on process and politics. Fine with them...just don´t pay attention to incompetence and perjury.

If you think Beirut should provide a good comparison, consider this: On October, 23, 1983, U.S. Marine barracks at Beirut was bombed. On December 19, 1983, just 57 days later, the Investigations Subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee (led by the opposition party) issued its report on the incident.

Contrast to Benghazi, it´s been 82 days, and the WH has combined stonewalling with a disinformation campaign.

The politics started when Obama voted with his feet and took no action. Refusal to send immediate help is unforgivable. CIC my foot. The politicization will be when the Republicans quit demanding accountability.

Why was this Democrat hack put out there in the first place to lie to the people on television. This should have been the job of Hillary to go out and lie to the American people. She is SoS. Stevens was her subordinate. What weasels these Democrats are. I will despise them all forever for what they, with the collaboration of the Media, have done to America.

The president hasn’t attempted to distance himself from the Associated Press snooping campaign. To the contrary, he offered “no apologies.” To be blunt, he approves the most invasive breach of the First Amendment against any news organization in the history of the republic. No president has tried this and for good reason. We now have yet another media abuse story, in a way much more severe. The Post breaks the story that the Obama administration indulged in excruciatingly invasive spying on James Rosen of Fox News and, in an unprecedented move, asserted that his newsgathering is criminal.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

In the days since the Internal Revenue Service first disclosed that it had targeted conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, new information has emerged from both the Treasury Inspector General’s report and congressional testimony Friday that calls into question key statements made by Lois G. Lerner, the IRS’s director of the exempt organizations division. The clumsy way the IRS disclosed the issue as well as Lerner’s press briefing by phone were seen at the time as a public relations disaster.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
