| CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Demoralized Republicans arrived in Boston Wednesday night for a rare moment in American politics: They came to learn from Democrats. Barack Obama´s campaign schooled Mitt Romney’s in November, something of which the Republicans who gathered at the quadrennial, off-the-record Harvard Institute of Politics Campaign Managers Conference were intensely aware. And while the proceedings of the event are under embargo until the institute releases audio transcripts of the proceedings, some participants shared their reactions.

What´d they learn? How to encourage voter fraud? Buy votes with promises for stuff? How to intimidate voters with thug groups?

WARNING: The following quotes are puke-inducing:
When it was finally over, more than one Republican walked out shaking his head. “We weren’t even running in the same race,” one downtrodden Romney aide told BuzzFeed after hearing the details of the Obama operation. “They were just amazing.”
Does this mean that our side is now going to learn how to steal elections, lie about our opponents, scare-monger and steal public taxpayer dollars to intimidate voters and buy voting-machine software that changes our votes?
This is maddening. If true, maybe we do need a new Party. Wusses...

I can hope some of them were thinking "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
But sounds more like Stockholm Syndrome.

Is this supposed to be a 12 step political awakening? The GOP doesn`t even have enough sense to steer clear of Harvard for goodness sakes. When they get to step 12 the dems will tell them they`ll never win another election and to come over to our side.

Most Republicans do not assassinate their opponent´s character like the Democrats do.

Responsible adult citizens do not have to be tricked into valuing their liberty over their security.
But we are awash in a culture of infants.
Muling, puking, whining, tantrum throwing infants and their nanny enablers.

I would expect that the Dems utilized social networking sites and countless blogs to create a data base, and then engaged in pinpoint micro-targeting of voter interests. Their standard coalition of groups was thus expanded into thousands of mini-groups from back-packers to dog-lovers. Each interest group received specially tailored messages and the opportunity to interact, leading directly to their data base for the GOTV campaign. That and the usual dirty tricks familiar to Chicago politics.

Do you really suppose the commies would reveal their methods of fraud? At best, they would present some that could be possible, but in the end, why would they tell their opposition how they did it so that the pubs could reverse engineer to counter? Unless, of course, they were already advancing to a different strategy, harder to detect and defend against...
This is only more smoke and mirrors, designed to distract.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Texas mother claims a quiz her son took blamed the United States for the September 11, 2001 attacks. Kara Sands posted on her Facebook page earlier this month a quiz her fifth-grade son at Flour Bluff Intermediate School took after watching a video entitled “Remembering September 11th.” One of the questions on the quiz asked “Why might the United States be a target for terrorism?” with the correct answer being “Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere.”

Seven U.S. Marines were killed and at least seven wounded when a mortar exploded during a live-fire training exercise overnight at an Army munitions depot in the Nevada desert, military officials told NBC News. There were conflicting reports about what happened. According to one account, a 60-millimeter mortar shell exploded in a tube as Marines were preparing to fire it. Another account said that the shell exploded as Marines were picking it up to load it. The accident happened at Hawthorne Army Depot, a 147,000-acre ammunition storage and training facility just east of the California line.

Members of Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network are being excluded from marching Saturday in Cincinnati´s St. Patrick´s Day parade, but an out elected official — City Councilman Chris Seelbach — has their back. GLSEN had informed the councilman that their request to participate in the parade was declined by one of the parade´s organizers, Chris Schulte, specifically because "it´s their parade, it´s an Irish Catholic parade and we don´t want any members of the gay and lesbian community to be affiliated."

The draft application for health insurance under Obamacare is out, and it´s long — 21 pages, to be exact. That´s close to ten times longer than an individual tax return, and significantly longer than an application for citizenship or a federal housing loan. It´s even longer than an application to establish a bank. The sheer complexity of the application is likely to spawn a cottage industry of Obamacare preparers, the Washington Post speculates. Which means a potential new addition to healthcare expenses: the cost of paying someone to help you apply.

Shortly after Pope Benedict XVI announced his retirement, the gay rights activist who was the first to legally marry his partner in Latin America sent out a jubilant tweet. Argentina´s Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio "cannot be pope," wrote Alex Freyre, because "he lost his papabile status the instant I married @josedibellow. Same for any other Argentine priest." On Wednesday, Freyre was proven wrong.

If only American soldiers in Afghanistan were unemployed Democratic voters in Chicago, then they might be getting three square meals a day from the government. But the military is the one place that Obama feels comfortable slashing expenses. While spending at an uncontrollable rate unseen since the last days of the Roman Empire in every other area, Obama has been cutting “waste” in the military like 20,000 Marines, Tricare healthcare for veterans and breakfast for soldiers serving in areas where he would only venture accompanied by heavy firepower. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
