| Something always rubs me the wrong way when people tell us that hard times draw us closer together and teach us what is really important in our lives. "We´ve lost the country, at least we´ve got each other." There is something inherently defeatist and depressing about that; accepting defeat, especially unfair defeat, is a hard pill to swallow. Many well written accounts have been published indicating voter fraud won Obama´s reelection, but it was quite clear within 48 hours after the election that nothing was going to be done about it by our leadership or the citizenry.

Comments: This article kind of sums it up for me.

What impressed me about this article was the part about the election being stolen but not one of our "leaders" was going to rock the boat over it.
So just who will step forward to ensure our elections are held as honestly as any election can be? Who, if not our "leaders"?
Kind of makes you wonder just where we are being led.

Well done, including the negativity it warrants. Too many people haven´t seen the handwriting on the wall or are loathe to admit that they have.
The time may be fast approaching to draw half a fish in the sand when we meet a stranger, in hopes they will complete it and secretly identify themselves as a fellow Christian.
This doesn´t apply only to Christians; it applies to conservatism, to honorable pursuits and decent behavior, to capitalism, liberty, freedom of speech and freedom of religion, freedom from government overreach.
There are two ways out, as I see it: Secession or doing nothing. Secession is being laughed at as unrealistic. It would be bloody and costly but things have gone too far culturally down the tubes to rescue America as founded. We´re broke, the election was a fraud and no one seems to have enough courage to confront this. We the people are helpless but our representatives are behaving abominably, with few exceptions. Where´s the clank factor?
So what do we do? Pray? Of course. But until our prayers are answered, what?

It´s time to dis-ban the Republican Party and form a new one. As a whole the Republican leadership is useless at best, or in cohoots with the Dems at worst. either way they do not represent "We the People."
More disappointing than the leadership, is the absence of the voter fraud issue on conservative talk radio. I expected more from them.
I sympathize with her description of her mother voting. My parents and I repeatedly have the same conversation about the direction of the country. I fear for my kids.
I trust God has a plan. I just wish I knew what is was. In the meantime I keep praying for our nation.

First of all, thank you, OP, for linking the OA to the printable version of this AT article.
I just entered the ´´young senior´´ age (60) and I know FOR A FACT that my vote was cancelled out by illegals here in Clark County, NV (thanks, Horry Reid) -- many of whom didn´t even know they were registering to vote (as Democrats, of course) when they signed their Union documents ´´for their job´´, and at least SOME of whom knew it was wrong to vote illegally but were PRESSURED to do so - and MONITORED until they did - by their Union leadership..... under threat of losing their valued job.
Keep this in mind if you visit big hotels and casinos on the Strip.... those service workers, at least those behind the scenes in the kitchens, laundry, maintenance, etc., may have voted Obama back into office under coercion from their union bosses.

Poster #8 points out something that troubles me deeply as well. I do not understand why nobody in the conservative media, particularly talk radio, simply will not touch this subject.
Many of them treat anyone who brings this up much like the MSM treats the "birthers". It´s like living in the twilight zone. What are they afraid of? Why do we seem doomed to be hopelessy disenfranchised?

What you people don´t understand is that the United States lasted only 190 years. It died in 1966 however, like a headless chicken, it continues to flap around splattering gore and blood over everything it gets close to. It´s time for you people to realize that it´s over. It´s over. It´s time to bury that old dead country, burn off the land, and start a new one built to avoid all the nation-killing elements that allowed this one to last less than 200 years.

Why should my informed vote be equal to someone who is told (by the union, the dems walking the streets with money and phones) how to vote?

The irony of the COEXIST bumper sticker Progressives is that they don’t want to coexist, they are fastidiously compelled to annihilate, or at least exile, conservatives, just as the Islamists are fastidiously compelled to annihilate infidels. American progressives are more comfortable with the notion of a two state peaceful coexistence for Israel and Palestine, than they are a Red state Blue state peaceful coexistence in America.

Broken record here. I don´t think Romney lost the election. Remember the enthusiastic crowds he drew? Remember how Obama could barely fill a high school auditorium? The electronic voting machines ensured that Obama won, but the mood of the country says he lost.
On some level, the American people know this. Nobody is enthusiastic about Obama´s second term. We are all hunkered down, waiting to figure out what to do next. I am sad that I lived long enough to see my country in this situation.

It is simplistic to think "putting prayer back in schools" will solve our problems or "Christ back in Christmas" as this presumes God is on our side and will "reward" us for doing so...or somehow change the hearts and minds of the takers to agree to take less. No matter. God will reward believers with Heaven. What does it really matter what the last voice we hear?

Re: #2 - The article states that "nothing was going to be done about it by our leadership or the citizenry." When it is obvious that our current leadership structure is not coming to the rescue, as it were, it is solely up the citizenry. Every individual must evaluate the calculus of Risk/Reward of passivity in the hope that some elite "leadership" acts to preserve our republic or overt activity against anti-Constitutional governance. So far, it is obvious that "the citizenry" is not motivated to risk the loss of property, freedom, status, or life as were the founders - or the MLK followers for that matter.

My hope for beating back the fraud lies at the state level. I still have hope that the Supreme Court will constrict Obamacare over religious freedom. Sebelius had no legal ruling for her mandated coverage of abortifacsients. The USSC has already reinstated a case at the Court of Appeals level.

This article should be printed and posted on your refrigerator door. Some of us - including Lucianne.Com readers, do a lot of sounding-off but are not prepare or willing to take action to reverse the trend that Obama has set for the nation. As a result we got what we deserve - 4 more years - for our inactivity.I can honestly say I don´t have any "remorse after election" syndrom since I was succesful into turnig 11 democrats into voting for the Republican candidates including state and local elections. The ultimate result was not altoghether a failure since 4 seating local and 1 state Democrat candidate were defeated and this was in the most liberal state in our nation California. What are we going to do in the mid-terms elections 2 years from now?

Thank you Ms. Harris for expressing what I have been thinking recently. The comparison to Nazi Germany is inescapable IMO. Pardon a slightly off topic but relevant experience I had on Friday when I was sutstitute teaching in a history class.
There was a stack of soft-bound books (like workbooks) on a counter - the cover of which caught my eye. The cover depicted a white and grey striped jacket with a yellow star with "Juden" on the breast pocket. The title of the workbook made me want to cry: "Life Unworthy of Life".
I started reading this workbook. It went with a video. Obviously, the teacher was planning on studying the Nuremberg trials after WWII.
I thought I knew a lot, but some of the details from the Jewish survivors was like opening a wound that hadn´t healed. I´m not Jewish, but I have lived over 50 decades totally outraged and incredulous how six million souls (God´s chosen people)could have been so unmercifully and nearly extinguished as a race.
WWII German Theater has been a reading obsession of mine since my senior year of high school in 1960. Thank God for people like Raol Wallenberg, thank God for the Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Do such people still exist????? My fear is either they don´t or we must go underground and trust only those with a half sign of a fish.

We are living in a post Christian society, but it is not the first time the world has lost faith and followed the wide and easy road of pride and sin. I have been trying to determine if I even have a role as a citizen anymore. If I do what are my responsibilities in light of my Christian values? In the old America faithful people were taught the duties embodied in “God, Family, Country”, based on a government whose power came from the consent of the people. Does our consent only extend to voting for representatives, and after that we must accept and swallow regulations that strangles our liberties and public morals that assault our religious beliefs?
The author’s mother said, "The only person who eternally gets it right is the guy holding up the sign that reads, ‘Repent, the end is near.’" What do I profit if I spend my time obsessing about the daily evil oozing from Washington and writing, calling, emailing, arguing, and thinking that I am doing my duty as a Christian citizen in a “free” country? I agree that it is time to pull up the door to the ark, shut out the din, and shake off the dust. It is time to focus on our relationship with the Babe who is coming to redeem the world. Times of trial and tribulation are ahead. Faithful people will be tested. We should emulate the early Christians of the Roman Empire, and live in the world, but not of it. Let us pass through this exile of earthly life with our hearts and minds firmly fixed on the things of Heaven and of God. The last voice I hear will my Savior’s.

Amen #26, amen. The last voice you hear will be Jesus in this world and His will be the first voice you hear in the next one. I am 62 now, and I mourn for the loss of the country my husband and I served for 44 years collectively. I feel that we no longer have a voice in our government, no longer represented by those who are elected and have sworn to do just that.
Hmmmmm...with the comment about bringing up the ramp to the Ark, this rain seems to have more meaning now. We´ve had over 7 inches which is a lot in a few days up here, guess we better make sure the boat motor runs, eh?

First I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins & I will go to Heaven not by the good works I will do or not do but that my faith is justified. Our Republic was designed for Christians as well as for non-Christians by our Fouding Fathers - most were Christians but not all. We have a Judeo Christian heritage but there have been "Client Nations to God" in the past such as British,Rhodesian,Swiss,Dutch,German & more. If you follow history you will see that man is not in charge but that God is in charge as the final analysis. Pastors & priests no longer teach from the Greek & Hebrew but only give "feel good" boy scout messages. I learned more history from my pastor who taught young aviators to fly & held down Luke Field with Barry Goldwater during WWII than any history class. He graduated from Beverly Hills High,USC,University of Arizona & Dallas Theological Seminary giving up a huge family fortune to teach the Word of God. Freedom, capitalism, free enterprise, strong military & morality are all there but never taught. Until parents, schools & churches go back to teaching our culture we will fail as a nation - it may be slow & I may not see it but man is not in charge. II Chronicles 7:14

Several posters refer to the fact that no one in any position to do anything about stolen elections is doing anything.
IMHO, nobody in their right mind would give fuel to the people who want a race war. And challenging the election of what´s-his-pickle would give these people what they need to let loose their operatives.
She who fights and runs away, lives to heckle another day. Evil lives, and it lives in Our House. Perhaps the cure is to stay the course. Pray, fight them with words, and for me, I intend to work on myself. For the prayers of the righteous are powerful indeed. I am the recipient of 200 yrs plus of freedom. I cannot go quietly. But I do not wish for the land to be bathed in blood. Resistance is not futile; I will not be absorbed.
Freedom is God given, perhaps when we fight for it we should remember Him and use the methods He directs us to.
Dragons in the Shire are unacceptable; they burn the crops; we need the crops. Look to the crops; look to the water, they will surely destroy and/or poison what they can.

For those of you with only vague memories of the USSR, as someone who escaped from it, I can speak with some authority to the observation that America is in the early stages of becoming "USSA". How?
Our constitution and our laws now mean only what the ruling party wants them to mean, and will have apparatchiks in place to interpret them to mean.
Our media are laughably propagandist and wholly untrustworthy.
Our elections are complete frauds, with fraud-facilitating practices enforced by absurd laws and strong-arm tactics.
Our leaders are self-aggrandizing and have created and enforce entirely separate laws to maintain special privileges for themselves (pay, work rules, retirement, medical care, etc.) not available to We The People.
Our freedom of speech has been corrupted and restricted. Orwellian rules are being implemented everywhere (academia, work, etc.).
My purpose in pointing this out isn´t to further depress anyone, but to make this a call to action while there is still time. We must resist. How?
End the phony political correctness. Call them what they are, openly. Refuse to go to their thought control training sessions at work. Pull your kids out of their Marxist-training schools and colleges. Don´t compromise on their enslaving proposed laws and tax plans. In a word, fight. Don´t go peacefully into their enslavement plans.

This article certainly captures the precarious realities of 2012 and for the ominous future of today´s American children. Where is their, ´´domestic tranquility?´´ ...One illustration of how morality has been systematically devalued since the 70´s is that we, -those of us old enough, who remember taking for granted the simple pleasure of going for walks on most any street in America safely, day or night, know exactly how much ordinary life in this country has changed! Even that simple pleasure is no longer an option in most locales. Movies no longer reflect those years throughout American history until the 1970´s militant activists muscled in, but think of just that difference when watching, ´´It´s A Wonderful Life,´´ again this year. But I digress.
The statist pols seem to hold all of the microphones, shutting out all other voices in the political arena. Even the House of Representatives which has an ELECTED GOP majority seems paralyzed, yet the members there were arguably elected primary for the purpose of determining, *even limiting or, -gasp, *eliminating, SPENDING for each legislated policy. Tragically, during the past few of decades, they haven´t just said, ´´No.´´ ...In fact, they never say much of anything these days. They ARE as paralyzed, frozen in some weird, ´´stop action,´´ ´Gulliver,´ scenerio, hog-tied by the lefty/statist lilliputians. mmm mmm mmm

I must admit that Susan Harris´s description of her mother´s sadness, as she watches our nation slide into the abyss, made me tear up pretty bad.
But at least Harris can be glad she has parents who are discerning enough to love what we all once had.
My parents were FDR liberals who resented "the rich," and had no understand of the way economics work. While their own mores were conservative (and they were shocked at the libertinism brought upon us by the Left in the ´60s), even so they stuck with the Party line, and voted a straight Democratic ticket to the end. They died not knowing what they had wrought.

The author ends with a timely sentiment that perfectly reflects the gospel I heard this morning, Luke 21:34, warning us to prepare for the second coming of Christ. ´Be on guard lest your spirits become bloated with indulgence and drunkenness and worldly cares. The great day will suddenly close in on you like a trap.´ After the crushing blow dealt by Obama´s re-election, I have had to remind myself that evil often triumphs in this world because that is part of our great lesson. I was defeated and distracted by ´worldly cares´. During this season of Advent, it is time to remember that we cannot lose sight of our real purpose.

Please pardon a second comment. Folks, we all seem so defeated, myself included. But I have always been a fighter and I won´t just give in without a fight.
For some reason the Biblical story of Gideon and his 300 Israeli men who defeated overwhelming numbers of Midianite warriors suddenly hit me and reignited by fighting spirit, which meant I needed to share it with others. This true story can be found in the book of Judges Chapter 6-8.
The story is of 300 soldiers, led by Gideon, who actually defeated thousands of their enemies through their faith in God, and is one of the coolest stories in the Bible IMO.
Briefly: Gideon told each of his 300 men to take an earthenware pitcher, put a torch inside it, and in their other hand hold a trumpet. After instructing the men in what they were to do at his signal, Gideon had the 300 men quietly surround the camp below. On Gideon´s signal, the men blew their trumpets, broke their pitchers so that the light blazed forth, and shouted, "We fight for God and for Gideon!" Then the men just stood and watched as the whole, vast, enemy army, confused by God, ran around in a panic, fighting and killing one another and fleeing away.
These 300 Israeli men were successful, not because they were smart, but because they were obedient. They did not win because of their strength, but because of their faith in the strength of the Lord.

Please pardon a second comment here, too. By the time the election happened, there had been prayer and fasting on the part of many Christians for deliverance from our current state of affairs, per II Chronicles 7:14. The answer was a resounding no.
In my despair I was reminded that Jesus was crucified in about 30 A.D. Christians loved Jerusalem, gave money to its poor and prayed for it. In spite of all that, Jerusalem was leveled 40 years later, in 70 A.D., and remained in enemy hands for nearly 2000 years.
In 1973 the Supreme Court gave us Roe v. Wade. Since then millions of babies made in the image of God have been killed for the convenience of Americans. The only change is that the ruling became more liberal so that babies could be killed right up to the moment of birth and in "botched" abortions, even afterward. It is 40 years later. I am not sure of this, but it is possible that because of Roe v. Wade, God has chosen to stop hearing the prayers of believers on behalf of the United States of America.

Before the election there was a great reminder for Christians making the rounds on Facebook. A beautiful graphic said, "No matter who is president, Jesus is King." Hit me right between the eyes.
Bill Whittle (if you haven´t seen his recent stuff go to his FB page and watch a couple hours of video) says, America is NOT it´s government. America is the idea that people can govern themselves and that our freedom is endowed by our Creator.
I´m not giving up. My husband and I are veterans and will fight with every weapon still available to us. Around the first of the year we´re introducing a website called avirtuouspeople...HQ for the Good Guys in America´s culture war. It´ll be a place to unite virtuous people (those who know right from wrong and choose to live right) to fight with whatever means we have available to climb back up the moral cliff the country has already fallen off.
For those older folks this article speaks of, they can still be prayer warriors in this fight. As several posters have pointed out, God is on the side of the good guys.
All my life (I´m 58) I´ve been hearing that Christian persecution is coming to America. I didn´t believe it, but here it is. I´m standing and fighting! How about you?

This is what I have posted on other boards this past month.
I believe Father has abandoned America to it´s self destruction just as he abandoned Israel after they abandoned Him. However, Father did give Israel a second chance and they and we are living in that chance now.
One thing this election has proven is that Obama was correct when he was on his apology tour of the Islamic countries where he stated. "America is not a Christian Nation".
There is no way a Christian could ever vote for the Marxist communist democrats.
America is split between the children of Adam and the children of the Devil and his son Cain.
John 8:42 - 47. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God´s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

I Thes. 4:16-18, ´´For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.´´

I watched the movie Braveheart today. The battle cry of our commie compatriots would be FOODSTAMPS instead of Freedom. They wanted the free gifts badly enough that they will make US pay for them.

It´s a Wonderful Life is very slick anti-capitalist propaganda. Why do you think it is shown so many times on network television, when so many wonderful old Christmas movies are left coiled up in their tin cannisters? Get your antennae up.

A group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty. The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho. The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who "voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson´s ideal of Rightful Liberty." Something always rubs me the wrong way when people tell us that hard times draw us closer together and teach us what is really important in our lives.

The Republican Party of Florida is backing Rep. Allen West’s call for a recount of all early votes in St. Lucie County, saying it would be “unconscionable” not to answer lingering questions about the results — which show Mr. West trailing Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy. “The supervisor of elections owes it to the people that elected her to count all of their votes that were cast early in the 2012 election cycle,” party Chairman Lenny Curry said in a statement Thursday. “She has already admitted there was a problem with the counting process and announced she would count all the

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.” Here is the entire context:

Iran is preparing to send 4,000 troops in to Syria to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the wake of America´s announcement it will be providing ´military aid´ to the country´s Muslim rebels. President Barack Obama made the pledge earlier this week after the U.S. claimed it found ´conclusive evidence´ Assad´s regime has used chemical weapons against the rebel forces--which includes the most extreme Sunni Islamists--and has called for Britain and France to back the move. While Britain hasn´t made a guarantee either way as yet, more than 350 Royal Marines are being sent to Jordan

Is Marco Rubio, R-Fla., getting played by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.? During his interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl this morning, Rubio didn’t even seem to understand what that meant. “Are you being played by the Democrats?” asked Karl. “Is Chuck Schumer playing you?” “I don’t — I quite frankly, I don’t even know what that means,” Rubio replied. “Is he using you?” Karl continued. “Is he using you to try to accomplish something that the Democrats want and is not — not a conservative bill?” Rubio responded that immigration reform was a bi-partisan issue that “all Americans
