But some American Jews invested lots of their money to help the Palestinians build greenhouses in Gaza after Israel pulled out. The idea was to go beyond giving Palestinians a fish, which will feed them for a day, and to teach them to fish for themselves so they could feed themselves for their lifetimes.

It was a foolish idea at the time, the Palestinians want to make bombs, not flowers. The greenhouses were never built because the Palestinians tore them down before they were finished.
