Environmentalists Petition Susan Rice

Environmentalists are furious that potential Secretary of State nominee and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice owns stock in TransCanada Corp, the pipeline firm that would benefit from the Keystone XL pipeline, which the State Department would have to approve. In an online petition, they have urged Rice to divest “every dollar of stock” in TransCanada Corp. According to The Hill, Rice owns between $300,000 and $600,000 in TransCanada Corp. stock, and the group RootsAction.org, which claims 200,000 members, has started a petition that says, “it’s indefensible that Rice has millions of

When did she purchase the stock? Isn´t that an important question?? Was she dealing with inside information? (inside, meaning president zero, who nixed the deal. Did that depress the price of the stock?)

At least their pretense is amusing.

She won´t divest Jack and she won´t become Secretary of State either. The fix is in for Kerry and Colin Powell will become Secretary of Defense. Take it to the bank!

Why should she? Wonder how much insider trading was involved in her accumulation of wealth. It must be nice to be a one-percenter, even if you are a Democrat. Think she has any guilt feelings?

To answer my own question, (2nd post apologies) the stock tanked at 25 early on in the zero first term. It has now nearly doubled. And when Zero announces approval of the pipeline, it will double again, in my opinion.
So the timing of her purchase of the stock is critically important.

After doing a little backtracking, found article originally posted here from Washington Free Beacon about Susan Rice & her holdings:

http://freebeacon.com/rice-has-up-to-600k-stake-in-keystone-company/

In it, you see mention of the article from OnEarth Magazine [environmentalist] and exactly why they want to take Susan Rice to task. This should be interesting to see how it plays out. She and her husband bet on major polluters:

Another lackluster Rich Witch.

Shocking how pathetic she seems when you hear she has $24 million to $44 million,
according to certain disclosures.

She needs at least a face transplant, maybe also a brain transfer or complete head redo.
Rice should request a referral...
to Nancy Pelosi´s spastic surgeon.

There´s one Rich Witch who got her money´s worth out of a scalpel.
What $30 million in whine money´ll git ya.

And the limousine liberals roll on.

I´m still going with my first prediction. 0bama isn´t going to pick Susan Rice for SOS. He just wants to gin up as much racial and gender hatred as possible before "caving" to announce Horseface.

0bama is "never letting a crisis go to waste". It also serves as a good distraction for her Benghazi obfuscation.

How did Susan Rice come to be a millionaire? Hasn´t she worked for the government all her life?

The lakerman is right: The fact that she owns this stock is an indication that a bunch of insiders are looking to make a huge profit once Obama makes an announcement. When she bought the stock is important. If she was a regular investor, she would be prosecuted for insider trading. Martha Stewart went to prison for much less. Of course, Martha can cook and sew and all Susan Rice can do is get people killed.

Washington Post, by Nick Miroff    Original Article

Batial-1 Well, Mexico - The geological marvel known to Texas oilmen as the Eagle Ford Shale Play is buried deep underground, but at night you can see its outline from space in a twinkling arc that sweeps south of San Antonio toward the Rio Grande. The light radiates from thousands of surface-level gas flares and drilling rigs. It is the glow of one of the most extravagant oil bonanzas in American history, the result of the drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. (Snip) This is a reflection of politics, not geology. The Eagle Ford shale formation is believed to continue hundreds of miles into Mexico,

New York Times columnist David Brooks said Sunday that he believes President Obama’s foreign policy isn’t “tough enough” and that he has a “manhood problem” when it comes to dealing with leaders such as Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar Assad. Mr. Brooks expanded on Sen. Bob Corker’s earlier comments on “Fox News Sunday” that Mr. Obama is “creating an air of permissiveness” with regards to Russia. (Snip) “And let’s face it, Obama, whether deservedly or not, does have a — I’ll say it crudely — but a manhood problem in the Middle East,” he continued.

Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, the middleweight boxing contender who spent 19 years in prison after being wrongly convicted of a triple murder, has died in Toronto, according to Win Wahrer, the director of client services for the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted. Carter, 76, died of complications from prostate cancer, Wahrer said. "I always remember spending hours and hours with Rubin talking about the wrongful convictions," she told CNN. "He was a great mentor and teacher. I felt very fortunate to have those times with him. ... He lived a very full life." Carter spent 19 years in prison for a triple killing in

Ex-death row inmate Anthony Porter

Anthony Porter is angry. He’s come within hours of being executed after he was convicted of killing two people. He was freed from Death Row after another man, Alstory Simon, confessed to the murders. He got a pardon, but he didn’t get a dime when he sued the city and the cops for framing him. And now, there’s a serious push to strip away what little Porter has left: his claim of innocence. Attorneys pushing for Simon’s release from prison say the justice system got it right the first time — that the evidence points to Porter all along in the notorious double murder in 1982 at a South Side park.

Credit card companies know there’s no free lunch, but they’re letting more customers get a taste as an enticement by gouging their existing card members. The average credit card interest rate for people with fair credit has hit a shocking 21 percent, up more than 2 percent from only a year ago, according to industry group CardHub. Credit card companies, which attract new customers with zero percent teaser rates and more rewards, have raised rates while their costs remain historically low, industry observers say. “Credit card interest rates were higher across the board during the first three months of 2014 relative to the same period last year,”

Before taxpayers lost $529 million on solar energy company Solyndra and $10.5 billion on GM, the US government had a long history of backing the wrong horse. Many of the great industries in US history — from the fur trade to steamships, railroads, chemicals and airplanes — failed in the hands of government but succeeded thanks to private entrepreneurs. A closer reading of American history may have avoided the colossal mistake of President Obama’s $700 billion stimulus bill. The government has learned over and over again that when it comes to business, it’s a terrible boss. Here are a few examples to keep in mind the next time you

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after
