| The U.S on Friday condemned the Israeli decision to build 3,000 new homes in the settlements, which came as a response to the UN vote to upgrade Palestine´s status to a non-member observer state. "These actions are counterproductive and make it harder to resume direct negotiations or achieve a two-state solution," White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said. "We reiterate our longstanding opposition to settlement activity and East Jerusalem construction and announcements." "Direct negotiations remain our goal and we encourage all parties to take steps to make that goal easier to achieve," the White House spokesman said.

Israel needs to condemn America´s settlement expansion on occupied Indian ancestral land. Insist on giving the occupied Dakotas back to the Sioux, and occupied Florida back to the Seminoles.

Good point 5. Throughout history people have been dispersed and scattered due to wars being lost. Does Israel have the fortitude to take back Gaza and expel the Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians, et al to their former homeland? Wouldn´t that solve the problem? Why wouldn´t these countries welcome their Muslim brothers with open arms? Oh right, because they keep these poor folks bottled up in misery and poverty because of their hate for the Jews.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.

The dollar fell against the majority of its 16 most-traded peers before U.S. economic data that may provide more direction about when the Federal Reserve will begin to taper its monetary stimulus.
