Despite ´cliff,´ preparations on
for Obama Hawaii vacation

The prospect of pitching over the federal "fiscal cliff" isn´t stopping the White House from moving forward with President Obama´s year-end Hawaii vacation plans.Even as Republicans and Democrats report minimal progress so far in talks to meet a deadline to avoid sharp tax hikes and spending cuts, the White House was moving forward with the first family´s and friends´ $4 million vacation to Mr. Obama´s native state. Residents living near the beachfront homes in Kailua where President Obama has vacationed every year since 2008 received alerts this week about the restrictions and expected travel disruptions

Any of his liberal pals think it´s cool Barry went to play with Tinker Toys today, instead of working with congress?

Let´s see... Since the election, Obama has taken a week vaca to Asia, 2 trips for campaign stops to motivate his civilian army & met with Boehner for 25 minutes.

GOP needs to take oout a full page ad, describing a bill passed in the house to stop fiscal cliff, so Amerikans know they tried... then leave DC the same day Obama does.

Pity the poor bride and groom on their honeymoon at the same time he is there or the couple that saved ten years for the big vacation in Hawaii.

How many people get to take their extended family and friends on vacay courtesy of taxpayers ?

Obama genuinely doesn´t care about any cliff. He desires this chaos and looks at it as an opportunity to further weaken America, while gaining more control and power over the people. Not all but many of the Obama voters will very soon be regretting how they voted.

I presume our Royal Family is, as usual, depending on other people to actually do the work while they while away their days in leisurely pursuits at our expense.

It is crystal clear that the Obama´s don´t really care about this "fiscal cliff", where hidden taxes will wipe a good percentage of everyone´s remaining money out of their bank accounts and into the union and government pension coffers.

Our Royal Family behave as though they expect to be here forever, and if our worst nightmares come true, they just might be.

You would think that this year of all years that Obama would decide to go home to Chicago or stay in the White House for Christmas since the country is in such dire straits. The fact that he would choose to put the burden for an expensive vacation on the back of the taxpayer says a lot about his character. Why lead by example when you can enjoy a luxurious vaycay on someone else´s dime? This kind of behavior will continue when we go over the fiscal cliff and hit rock bottom. After all, he and wifey are entitled to as much taxpayer money as they can get. This mindset is the same in the ghetto or in the White House. It´s reparations, baby!

It is time for the GOP to walk away from the deal on the table and let the country go over the fiscal cliff. Obama and the Democrats won the election - let them figure it out. Let the taxes increase. Let the spending cuts go through. Do not vote for any more debt ceiling increases. Let the economy go into recession. Take the pain and the blame now. Screw this fraudulent evil doer who is a son of Lucifer.

I hate to keep pointing it out, but let´s get used to it. For those of us who voted on November 6th and marked the box for Romney, atta boys/girls. Those who could not get off their behinds and vote because of that individualism statement they had to make by sitting out, good job...real slick. Not every day the incumbent president gets 8 million fewer votes than before..and still winds.

We can expect a steady diet of Obie´s in-your-face politics for another four years and again during Obie´s third term.

Because Boehner can´t politic at Obie´s level, he´s already been defined by Obie on the cliff so that whatever the outcome, Boehner gets blamed. On the other hand Boehner did not get to where he is because he cant survive in politics. Always a chance he can rub Obie´s nose in it.

At the end of the day, big egos control the issue. If you were to ask Obie who it is he thinks he is working for, wanna guess what he´d say?

Think it’s easy? Think fundamentally transforming an entire country is a piece o’ cake? Think again! It’s strenuous work and he deserves some time off from the rigors of destroying our once exceptional nation. Drunk (or high) with power after his November 6 reelection, and with the aid of his ever-present, fawning, corrupt media toadies, he’s going to make all his dictatorial dreams come true. But, first things first. His vacation: Job One!

Let´s just go over the fiscal cliff and get it over with, instead of death by a thousand cuts. People will still keep voting a Republican majority into the House and no more free Obama phones (by the way, who pays the monthly bills on those phones). I hope I´m not doing that.

Everything will then start going to the SCOTUS and we still have a majority there (I think).

Obama has already conveyed his strategy. He will let us fall off the cliff so he can blame the obstructionists Republicans. Its all about image. What the Republicans need to do is to stay in Washington and work. When we drop off the cliff Republicans must run campaign-style ads showing Obama on vacation while they were working. Its a simple strategy…but potentially devastating.

The White House’s explanation of what it knew about the investigation into the IRS’s scrutiny of conservative political groups and how it planned for the eventual release of that information shifted once again Tuesday. Just a day after telling reporters that chief of staff Denis McDonough and other senior White House staff learned of the situation nearly a month ago, press secretary Jay Carney revealed Tuesday that White House officials had consulted with the Treasury Department on how to make the findings public.(Snip) Carney said he hadn’t revealed more information about which officials

Douglas Shulman, the former commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, said today he was “dismayed and saddened” that his agency had improperly targeting conservative groups, but declined to offer a direct apology and dismissed suggestions that he mislead Congress. The testimony from Shulman, who was making his first public appearance since the IRS controversy broke into the open two weeks ago, did not satisfy members of the Senate Finance Committee. He faced more than three hours of stern questioning from Democrats and Republicans, but said “I don’t believe I was aware” when asked

For a "failed scandal," Fast and Furious sure brought out the heavy hitters at the Department of Justice to deal with a whistleblower. The department´s inspector general has released a report accusing one US attorney, Dennis Burke, of leaking a document that smeared John Dodson, a key witness in the Fast and Furious scandal, and accusing other officials in the department of coming up with a strategy to discredit him. Breitbart: The DOJ IG said it found "Burke´s conduct in disclosing the Dodson memorandum to be inappropriate for a Department employee and wholly unbefitting a U.S. Attorney."

Officials in the White House discussed how and when the Internal Revenue Service would tell the public that the agency had targeted political groups, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday. Carney said that Mark Childress, the White House deputy chief of staff, twice spoke with officials at the Treasury Department about the strategy for revealing conservative targeting. Childress and the Treasury officials discussed the possibility that Lois Lerner, the IRS official who oversaw the agency´s tax-exempt organization, would reveal that an inspector general´s investigation had found

They explained that some had originally been counted twice amid the chaos. Officials, who warned that the death toll could rise, said 237 people were injured in the storm and that searches are continuing

A federal court in San Francisco Tuesday struck down Arizona´s ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the law violates a string of U.S. Supreme Court rulings starting with Roe v. Wade that guarantees a woman´s right to an abortion before a fetus is able to survive outside the womb. That´s generally considered to be about 24 weeks. Normal pregnancies run about 40 weeks. Several states have enacted similar bans starting at 20 weeks. But the 9th Circuit´s ruling is binding only in the nine Western states

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed).
