| Barack Obama today continued to pile pressure on Congress to extend tax cuts for the middle class, saying a rates hike would be like getting a ´lump of coal´ for Christmas. In the first of a series of campaign-style speeches designed to sell his solution for the ´fiscal cliff´, the President argued that Republicans should extend existing Bush-era tax rates for households earning $250,000 or less, while allowing increases to kick in for the wealthy. However, Republican leader John Boehner described the state of negotiations as a ´stalemate´ and criticised Obama for not making a serious offer on a deal.

...and if we call in the next 30 minutes you will cause a person who has spent his or her life busting their butt working for a living and making a decent living to receive a second tax increase by paying only shipping and handling......this imposter who get´s off giving away other people´s money sounds more and more like a huckester on tv pushing products that don´t work (just like his supporters)

obama and the democrats want to give 1.6 trillion lumps of coal to taxpayers.
obama has refused to cut any spending.
Republicans need to let obama fail.

With this plan (when all of the dirty details and I gotcha after the fact clauses are known) it will be more like a lump of something that doesn´t smell really good in the ole yuletide stocking! You can take the president out of the community organizer, but you can´t community organizer out of the president (Saul Alinsky), and the campaign drags on.

President Obama will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in California on June 7-8, the White House announced Monday. It will be Mr. Obama’s first meeting with Mr. Xi since he became president of China in March. They previously met in Washington in 2011 when Mr. Xi was vice president. The talks come amid heightened U.S. tensions over cyberattacks reportedly originating in China. But the Obama administration said it has been pleased with Beijing’s cooperation in trying to persuade North Korea to reduce its belligerent military actions this spring.

Monday afternoon, ABC News released a chilling report that details what journalists have faced while trying to get some answers from the Cincinnati IRS office, which is where a majority of the Tea Party targeting took place. According to ABC, an "armed uniform police officer with the Federal Protective Service" "escorted" reporters through the public building. ABC says if the intent wasn´t to "scare off" employees who might talk, "it was the effect." ABC News is also hearing conflicting reports from Cincinnati IRS employees and the IRS Headquarters in Washington.

CINCINNATI- Few workers know the IRS Cincinnati office better than Bonnie Esrig, who worked there for 24 years. She retired from her job as a senior manager in January. Esrig said she did not recall any discussion of politics in the office. "Politics and religion were things people generally didn´t talk about at work," she said. Esrig did not work on political cases and was not connected to the applications at the center of the controversy. But she worked in the same office where fewer than 200 people were dealing with 73,000 applications for exemptions last year.

White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"
