Adam Carolla blames Mexican

´culture´ for California´s struggles

On his Wednesday podcast, comedian Adam Carolla blamed Mexican immigrants for overwhelming and destroying California’s troubled public-education system. “Schools are f***ing ruined, and schools are ruined — not because they’re out of money, but because we’re flooded with Mexicans, and they’re not into studying,” Carolla said. “They don’t come from that culture, and we’re not asking them to change. That’s the thing. We have a culture that is not focused on the schoolwork. It’s a different culture. It’s, by the way, why their culture is failing, and their country, ironically — it’s why they’re here.

Comments:
This is a nice rant. Probably won´t win Mr. Carolla many friends in the neighborhood he resides in.

One thing I´ve noticed for years when I talk with people from Mexico is that they just shrug and accept corruption from their federal and local governments. It´s almost as if they expect all politicians to be corrupt. This might explain why they vote for Democrats and aren´t too bothered by things like bankruptcy, dishonesty and negligence that results in fatalities in our current administration.

As long as the government hands out bennies, a Dictator for Life isn´t worth the concern.

He´s only partly correct. The reason it´s in such bad shape is because it´s run by democrats and they have no clue how to balance a checkbook.

Well, somebody needs to be at least a little truthful about this issue.

Just read an article below that claimed that Mexico was really doing well financially. So what is with their people straggling over here for freebies? I am sick and tired of them begging on street corners or outside of a mall. Go home and make your country live up to that article.
We also have canadians sneaking in here for medical treatment - not saying that they do not pay for it, but government running anything turns into something rotten.

Corolla will be excoriated for his comments, but had they been spoken by Bill Maher, nobody would give them a second thought.

As Corolla stated, `Are there ****** up things about our culture? Yes.`, and one of them is liberalism, which has wrought our current situation.

Number Two, excellent points.

The low morals and low standards are a win-win for the corrupt DimWits
who want them here.

Everybody´s in on the cheating and corruption and can benefit from it.
Or so they think.

Eventually there will be nothing left to plunder.
When America is no longer recognizable, the Mexicans will say (as they already do) -
"Hey man, give us back the territories you took from Mexico. We´ve already ruined it anyways, man... It´s, like... ours!"

Can´t endorse this. The US people have made their own problems. And California - was an enthusiastic leader.

What Carolla complains of was wholly predictable. We could have chosen otherwise.

Carolla is right. Mexico is not, and never has been, a beacon of hope. No one wants to emigrate to Mexico, or any other third world country. And yes, our culture is better, exactly for the reasons he stated.

Thanks, Adam, for some truth-telling! Would add that Mexicans are big on demanding unearned RESPECT. Do they ever show respect? No. Tu casa es mi casa!

Liberals let them "squat" here to buy their votes. What great accomplishments have they ever added to our great nation? Fruit-picking? Yardwork? Making beds? Washing dishes? Killing each other in our urban barrios? Have you ever seen their placement scores in community colleges? I have. Its abysmal! Thanks again to the left for illegal immigration, no border patrol, and foolish multi-lingual multi-culturalism...Fooey! LaRaza mi culo!

The maipulative, unethical and questionably corrupt Congress, -delegated by the Constitution to fund their legislation, ...plus the failure to simply enforce the law by the Presidential Administrations for over 2 decades, are both equally responsible for allowing the ILLEGAL immigration debacle.

Also, they are responsible for the general disrespect for law enforcement as a direct result of their neglect regarding ILLEGAL aliens throughout the past 2 decades. ...Instead of the law being efficiently & equally enforced, it has become a political football used by beltway pols for subjective favoritism for their own re-election votes. mmm mmm mmm

Reply 14 - Posted by: killerbee, 11/30/2012 8:07:57 PM     (No. 9042146)

Not really. It´s the unions with their strangle hold on the government that are the biggest problem. They have manipulated every situation, so anything the Mexicans have done is downstream of that.

It may be unpopular, but Mexicans, for the most part, come here to work and they do. Unfortunately, the corrupt Cali government (corrupted by union money) puts out the welcome mat to Mexican gangs and grifters too. Plenty of every race in those two categories, but at least legal citizens are somewhat known.

Reply 15 - Posted by: mythman, 11/30/2012 8:43:26 PM     (No. 9042196)

#5 - Yes, and one reason Mexico is doing well is because millions of legal and illegal Mexicans in the US transfer the billions in cash they have earned here legally and illegally back to Mexico. Another reason the Mexican gov´t wants open borders with us on our border - but not for itself on its own southern border.

Somebody had to say it.

Why is Mexico a third world country when it has all those natural resources and built in tourist attractions? Because tis full of Mexicans.

I would like to see the numbers on how many dollars are wired from the US to Mexico. Or even how many wires there are.

No mater how many Mexicans we are talking about in public schools, the school system is broken everywhere.

Long before the Internal Revenue Service revealed it had improperly targeted conservative 501(c)(4) groups, a group of Democratic senators led by New York Sen. Chuck Schumer urged the IRS to do just that. The IRS’s admission last Friday that it had singled out tea party and other groups for extra audits and delays has raised concerns that President Barack Obama’s administration quietly attempted to stymy opponents through intimidation. But many prominent Democrats — including Montana Sen. Max Baucus, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and the New York Times editorial board — had been

On Hugh Hewitt’s Thursday night program, National Review columnist Mark Steyn explained why the Obama administration’s response to last September’s terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was so appalling.“They let him die, and then told lies over his coffin,” he told fill-in host Guy Benson. Steyn said that the late U.S. ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was a true believer of President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s view of the Arab Spring, that it was a positive movement and was trying to make the best of it. On Aaron Klein’s weekend show on New York City’s WABC radio, Oklahoma Republican Sen. James Inhofe accused the Obama administration of buying up ammunition at an unprecedented level to bypass the Second Amendment so gun-owners “can’t even buy ammunition because government is purchasing so much.” “Let’s make sure that your audience out there is aware, Aaron, that our president, Obama, has been doing everything he could to stop the private ownership of guns in America,” Inhofe said. “You know that, everyone knows that. And yet he’s been voted down in a big way by a large majority.

On Thursday night’s edition of "The O’Reilly Factor" on the Fox News Channel, host Bill Bill O’Reilly and former Clinton campaign adviser James Carville debated whether liberals have been pushed further to left by activists and various media factions. O’Reilly pointed to Wednesday’s May Day protest in Seattle as one piece of evidence. He also pinned the blame on MSNBC, arguing that his employer’s cable news rival is “putting forth” a far left ideology. Carville disagreed and said the hosts on MSNBC network, including Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski do not hold views of the far left.

During a Senate hearing on immigration reform Tuesday, Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had a testy back-and-forth over the performance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. Sessions challenged Napolitano on whether she had met with leader of the ICE employees’ union in the wake of reports of low morale among ICE agents. Napolitano replied that she had not. “I think you should have met with them,” Sessions said. “I think there’s a real problem there. We have a very real problem. On Monday’s episode of Fox News Channel’s “The Five,” Greg Gutfeld sounded off on those who have made it their primary focus to understand the motivations behind Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s alleged decision to place a bomb at the site of the Boston Marathon. “After every terror attack each motive shall be discussed, but one,” Gutfeld said. “It is the terror that dares not speak its name. Well, actually it does speak. Our media just won’t hear it. Instead we explore the pain of the poor thugs. Which could be why some terrorists get movies made by Robert Redford

The National Rifle Association hasn’t received much in the way of favorable coverage from MSNBC recently. But on Wednesday’s “The Last Word,” host Lawrence O’Donnell took that unfavorable coverage to the next level by blaming the NRA for law enforcement’s inability to track down the perpetrator of Monday’s terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. O’Donnell made the statement during the opening of his show. He also blamed the gun-rights organization for the failure of legislation in the U.S. Senate that would enhance background checks for gun purchases. “Today the gun lobbyists at the NRA

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

(Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
