Not so sure about seceding but separated to be sure. In their minds progs have thrown us out of their country.

We are a "house deivided", to be sure. Before we try secession from the Union, however, there are several steps to try first. One such step is secession from the GOP and break-up of the two-party system, which the Framers warned against in the first place.

I feel I have seceded. I´m not an American, I just live here. I want nothing to do with liberals and moochers.

I find that I can no longer even look at liberals.
Family, in laws, co-workers, neighbors, etc....
They literally stuck a knife in the heart of America and I have such dark, violent desires for them that I shake when forced to interact.

I think it is the public high-fiving that makes me despise liberals right now.

I have a friend who is Catholic and pro-life, who often posts anti-abortion messages on her Facebook page. But she did the happy dance when Obama won, with messages like, "Congratulations, Mr. President," and posting the bogus photo (not from election night, because it was light when the photo was taken) showing the Obamas embracing, with a message, "an example for families everywhere." This is a friend of more than ten years, and I have no respect for her opinion or values any longer. I really don´t even want to run into her. I guess I have seceded from her. Maybe I´ll get over it, maybe not.

I don´t remember conservatives and republicans high-fiving and rubbing it in when Bush won in 2000 and 2004. We are too afraid of offending people, I guess. Or perhaps we just have better manners.

I hate Democrats and I´ve gotten to the point where I can´t stand to be around them. I´m sorry to say it, but this even includes some members of my own family.

The quicker the divorce, the better for everyone involved.

Our country is designed for 2 parties & a 3rd party will completely take us down. I am in agreement with most of the Ldotter posters & feel very angry about the election but obviously we are to suffer more discipline before some Americans will wake up. I may never live to see the final outcome & it is painful to see our beloved Republic going the way of Europe. Maybe the Tea Party will take one last stand in 2014 to see if we will survive - I will gladly fight again & dare any 3rd party to ruin the result. If conservatives were to form a third party, you can bet the biggest contributor to this party would be the Democrat Party itself. It would be the most cost effective way to guarantee wins for the dimocrats forever more.

Why in the world do we have states if everything is going to be run out of Washington DC? This is a Republic of 50 sovereign states, the tenth amendment allows the federal government only a few enumerated powers, any power not listed in the constitution is reserved to the states or the people. The states need to reassert their sovereignty. Give the people 50 choices (or 51 if they want to go somewhere else). This all knowing, all encompassing, all controlling socialist central government has to go. Let that happen and there will be no more talk of secession.

I have seceded. I have left the USA, working towards getting all my money out of the country without having to pay huge tax penalties, and am working towards obtaining citizenship elsewhere. Once I get that citizenship, I will seriously consider renouncing my US citizenship. NEVER in a million years would I have thought I would end up doing this, yet here I am.....

I agree with #8 and #9. I have members of my family I never want to see again; I am so angry at them for being "useful idiots." Wonder how many other people feel this way.

I may be bumping into you one day #16. Unlike you I need the retain citizenship in order to keep receiving the savings plan I paid into all those years, social security. We need an L-dot pin, simple and tasteful that can be worn by men and women. It doesn´t need to scream out anyone´s name, just so long as we can recognise the wearer for what they are and what they stand for.

I´m not sure things can turn around. Every day there are more takers than givers, and the direction Obama has us headed in will mean even more takers. Unfortunately from now on I believe many of the takers were originally givers. And I´m not talking about social security recipients.

Oh, that We would have 56 old white angry men sitting in Congress today instead of a crybaby and lobbyist paid traitors who seem to be on recess most of the time.
