| United Nations - The Palestinians are certain to win U.N. recognition as a state Thursday but success could exact a high price: Israel and the United States warn it could delay hopes of achieving an independent Palestinian state through peace talks with Israel. The United States, Israel´s closest ally, mounted an aggressive campaign to head off the General Assembly vote. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defiantly declared Thursday that the Palestinians would have to back down from long-held positions if they ever hope to gain independence. In a last-ditch move Wednesday,

Comments: If you wonder why PIAPS was sent to be the face of our government in negotiating the "truce" between Israel and Hamas last week, this is the prize. With it comes "humanitarian aid," like the missing billions we gave Yasser Arafat [who has currently been dug up as the PLO plays out their version of the "great scavenger hunt."]
Oh, Herself is in Washington giving a speech for AIDS World Day & where is Susan Rice [UN Ambassador]?

Real people recognize the palis as barbarians. Who cares what a third-world group of semi-barbarians thinks? Just because UN members wear expensive suits (paid for by the U.S. no doubt) doesn´t make them credible or civilized.

Of course they´ll be recognized. Look who´s in charge here! The Muslim Marxist, with a UN Ambassador who´s up to her eyeballs in Iran investments, for starters. Then there´s the Benghazi massacre, just the tip of the iceberg. "Mr. Flexible" will ensure it´s a done deal.

So I suppose this means that rockets into Israel will no longer be gaffed off as just another terrorist attack, but rather finally be recognized as unprovoked acts of war . . . NOT.
Israel will have every right to respond with overwhelming force when the animals launch weapons at innocents.

Perhaps the Gaza Strip, that cosmopolitan place, would work well as the new HQ of the UN.
Pack up and leave.

From space Palestine will resemble the cesspool it is; kinda like everything they touch including our white house. BTW, did anyone catch Hillary´s preference to Hamas green in her jacket when she was announcing the quote-quote cease fire otherwise known as the Gaza ammunition re-supply??

An investigation of the Justice Department’s witness protection program uncovered glaring security problems that allowed terrorists who had been given new identities after cooperating with U.S. prosecutors to board commercial flights in the United States. In some cases, suspects whose names were on federal watchlists meant to keep them off commercial aircraft were nevertheless able to board flights because the Justice Department had failed to add their new, government-issued identities to counterterrorism databases. Overall, the Department of Justice Inspector General concluded that there

Several people were killed and more than 100 others injured Wednesday night when a possible tornado cut a wide swath through north Texas, officials said. Kathy Jividen, a spokeswoman for the Hood County sheriff´s office, said there were "multiple fatalities" in the wake of the storm that touched down in Granbury. Matt Zavadsky, spokesman for MedStar Mobile Healthcare, said there were reports of at least 100 people being injured. He said the tornado touched down several times in Hood, Tarrant, Dallas and Parker counties. "With these types of tornadoes, they touch down; they lift up;

A senior Israeli official signaled on Wednesday that Israel was considering further military strikes on Syria to stop the transfer of advanced weapons to Islamist Hizbullah – and warned President Bashar Assad against any kind of retaliation against the Jewish state. The New York Times quoted the Israeli official who said, “Israel is determined to continue to prevent the transfer of advanced weapons to Hizbullah. The transfer of such weapons to Hizbullah will destabilize and endanger the entire region.” “If Syrian President Assad reacts by attacking Israel, or tries to strike Israel through his terrorist

Knock me over with a whisper. The mainstream press and politicians are outraged to discover that the Obama administration has been misusing the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) for political gain by deliberately targeting and harassing Conservative and Tea Party groups who applied for tax-exempt status. These same people are also shocked that a government agency would illegally leak out confidential information to the media. Where have you been all these years? Washington - President Obama announced Wednesday night that the acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service had been ousted after disclosures that the agency gave special scrutiny to conservative groups. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., meanwhile, warned top I.R.S. officials that a Justice Department inquiry would examine any false statements to see if they constituted a crime. (Snip) “Americans have a right to be angry about it, and I’m angry about it,” Mr. Obama said. “It should not matter what political stripe you’re from. The fact of the matter is the I.R.S. has to

Nice try, Mr. President. Feigning anger, firing an unknown bureaucrat and fleeing the podium won’t cut it with voters, or stop the hemorrhaging of the scandals that have spawned a Watergate-like feel around the Obama administration. There was a certain panicky look about the way the president quickly delivered a rare evening White House statement to try to quell the growing outrage over the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups. The move showed how damaging the scandal has become to Obama’s second term and maybe even his presidency. But Obama took no questions and, more importantly,

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The White House on Wednesday released 94 pages of emails between top administration and intelligence officials who helped shape the talking points about the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, that the CIA would provide to policymakers in both the legislative and executive branches. The documents, first reported by THE WEEKLY STANDARD in articles here and here, directly contradict claims by White House press secretary Jay Carney and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the revisions of those talking points were driven by the intelligence community and show heavy input from top Obama administration officials, particularly those at the State Department.

On Thursday´s NBC Today, in a desperate attempt to deflect from the scandals engulfing the Obama administration, co-host Savannah Guthrie wondered: "I read a headline yesterday that said Republicans see blood in the water. That they see a president who´s very vulnerable politically. Is there a danger that they will overreach?" Chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd agreed with the slanted premise: "There is. I mean, that´s what happened to Republicans in 1998 with Bill Clinton.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,
