The Hawaii Reporter says the 20 day trip will cost taxpayers $4 million. But that´s a small price to pay for our Dear Leader´s comfort. Keith Koffler: President Obama is reportedly scheduled to be vacationing in Hawaii on January 2, the date billions in spending cuts - and untold consequences for the economy - will kick in if a deal is not reached on the "fiscal cliff." According to the Hawaii Reporter, residents who live in the area of Oahu where Obama and his family vacation have been told

And the sycophantic press-titutes will be along for the fun in the sun.

No wonder they can´t be bothered asking tough questions.

There´s no hope for change here. They will always be living off the people; while we cancel our vacations, politicians just make more expensive ones for themselves.

That is the perfect image for a President who can´t bother himself with the labor of actually leading or governing...the perfect politician, the guy who voted ´Present!".

Why should He worry? The story line is already written and ready to be trumpeted loudly by His minions, including the national "news" organizations, that if we go over the "cliff" it is all the fault of republicans. And the numbskulls who voted for Him will swallow it just like they have willingly swallowed all His other tripe over the last 4 years.

Actually, it would be better if all of those Clymers take a vacation before they "resolve" the fiasco cliff.

Remember, there is not a solution to a Ponzi SScheme, other than letting it collapse.

Cheer up people, enjoy this for the absurdity of it all. You know, there are two ways to look at a ride on a run-away train; One, you can scream and yell and cry about the inevitable disaster looming at the bottom of the hill. Two, you can just sit back and enjoy the exciting ride- either way, you can´t avoid the end result. Might as well get the most out of it.

Nero will fiddle as his partners in crime try to get that fire going. If there´s anything going on in the West that could precipitate self-inflicted fulfillment of the absurd Mayan apocalypse rumor it´s going nuclear on the economy like this. Quality effort by the disciples of Alinsky.

Why should our dear leader have to worry about it. While Americans who didn´t vote for his dumbazz work our butts off to give our children a good Christmas this year he flies of to sunny Hawaii. He knows that the cretins in the press will beat the drum that will be put out by the WH suckups that the fiscal mess will be the Republicans fault. Boehner and McConnell will of course fall right into the rat trap as usual. We had our chance to elect a good and decent man to be our president but because of the money for nothing get your shiite for free crowd it didn´t happen.

Why can´t a single reporter stand up at a White House press conference and ask Stinky, "Don´t you think that it is inappropriate to be taking a $4 million vacation when so many Americans are suffering economically?"?

First, $4M isn´t close to the actual cost of this trip.
Second, Obama may be leaving the fiscal cliff in Washington DC, but there are other cliffs in Hawaii.

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

U.S. military assets in the Black Sea are on high alert amid reports Ukraine troops traded gunfire Tuesday with pro-Russian militants. A journalist with Associated Press reported intense gunfire at an airport in eastern Ukraine after the government sent in army troops to retake control from militiamen loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The mayor of Kramatorsk told the Associated Press that Ukrainian troops have now occupied the military airport and are blocking its entrance. The action comes a day after the revelation a Russian fighter jetted buzzed a U.S.S. destroyer multiple times over the Black Sea.

House Democrats are rolling out a new strategy to target 30 House Republicans on immigration reform during the two-week congressional recess, marking a last-ditch effort to force GOP action on a legislative overhaul. The new pressure tactic includes a memo distributed to those 30 districts held by Republicans who have expressed public support for some sort of immigration reform, many of them backing a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Democrats hope the document — which highlights statements made by those Republicans in favor of reform, as well as data showing the district-specific economic

Scott Walker has a 16 point lead (56-40) among likely voters in his race for governor, according to a poll from Wisconsin Public Radio/St. Norbert’s. Among registered voters, his lead is essentially the same (55-40). The survey was conducted between March 24 and April 3. A Marquette University survey conducted between March 20-23 also showed Walker with a nice, though smaller, lead. In that poll, Walker outdistanced Democrat Mary Burke 48-41. Revealingly, Walker fares well in an electorate that does not seem particularly conservative and that, if anything, appears to be slightly to the left of American voters in general.

Note: This post was inspired by the #DropDropbox campaign. On March 20 the University of California, Irvine, announced that Barack Obama will give the commence address to its class of 2014. This is deeply disturbing, and anyone—or any university—who values ethics should be concerned. Why is this? Because he was part of the failed Obama administration? Because he is a Democrat and we should hate Democrats? No. This is not an issue of partisanship. It makes sense that UC Irvine would want an accomplished, high-level, well-connected individual as their commencement speaker. There is no doubt that Barack Obama is an

When Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Steve Israel (N.Y.) was asked Sunday whether he thinks his Republican colleagues are racist, he responded with a frankness that is rare in politics and even less common when it comes to sensitive issues like race. "Not all of them, no, of course not," Israel said on CNN´s "State of the Union." "But to a significant extent, the Republican base does have elements that are animated by racism. And that´s unfortunate." Israel´s not the only high-ranking Democrat to advance some version of that argument recently. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that Republican reluctance

Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth.
