| Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people (and, lest we forget, an unborn child) and wounding 29 others at Fort Hood, Texas, in November 2009, had raised a number of red flags suggesting a disposition for committing, or at the very least having sympathy for, acts of Islamic terror prior to his massacre. A sheriff´s department captain caught consorting with a suspected drug dealer. Placed on "paid leave" for over a year.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff, Lee Baca, us a useless political poseur who probably does the worst job of any sheriff in the country.

Here is a detailed news article from a few days ago, with her photo, that details what she did, tipping off this gang member, the son of a man she was dating, to law enforcement actions in his regard. She was caught in a sting.
The FBI was investigating this man as he was a known gang member believed to be ringleader of a cross-country drug trafficking ring - not a small time dealer.
Dunphy and others believe that some among the 150 deputies she supervised in the Carson (south of Los Angeles) station had to have been aware of what she was up to.

Her niece, a County jail employer who did warrant searches for her, was also put on paid leave. Between them they have pulled $300,000 in paid administrative leave.

Dunphy thinks it’s bad in L.A. (and it is), but what about at the national level where we have (or had) these worthies: Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Susan Rice, Lisa Jackson, Regina Benjamin, Bobby Rush, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Hank Johnson, Maxine Waters, Roland Burris, etc.
Three cheers for diversity and AAA (Affirmative Action Appointees).
The U.S. is a Meritocracy...or is it an Ineptocracy...or an Idiocracy? I´m so confused.

The bigger question is why is it taking the DA so long to indict her? Why is the FBI slow-rolling the thing. Could it be that orders came down from high that she is one of the "favored" class?

LOS ANGELES — A farewell note left behind by the Santa Monica gunman expressed remorse for the killing of his father and brother but provided no explanation for the rampage that left them and three others dead.
