Rick Warren Says Obama
Deification is Blasphemy

Fox News, by Todd Starnes

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/28/2012 4:10:21 PM

Rick Warren, one of the nation’s most prominent pastors, told Fox News he is extremely concerned about recent attempts in the media to deify President Obama. He was especially disturbed comments made by comedian Jamie Foxx who called the president “our Lord and Savior.” (Snip) “That sent shivers up my spine,” said Warren. “There’s a word for that – it’s called blasphemy. It’s wrong.” Warren is pastor of Saddleback Church in southern California. He’s also the author of an expanded edition of “The Purpose Driven Life – What on Earth Am I Here For?”

Comments:
Do ya think? And yet the spineless leftists wouldn´t dream of doing this to the Prophet Muhammad. Depicting 0bama as such would have been way more appropriate.

I suppose he is technically correct, but who cares what this attention seeking phony thinks.

I never criticize pastors, teachers, preachers, etc. but I make an exception for Warren.

It is blasphemy, but I´m not interested in anything Warren has to say.

This idiot sure didn´t have a problem enabling Abama in 2008.

Well, he should know blasphemy when he hears it...which is about every Sunday from behind his pulpit. But, he´s right...this is blasphemy.

Well, yeah. Doesn´t take a second-rate theologian to see that.

He´s right, but fortunately for Foxx and like-minded, blasphemy isn´t a head-choppin´ offense in the civilized, non-Muslim world.

0bama apparently doesn´t mind such blasphemous adulation. He seems to weirdly invite it.

Obama´s election is blasphemy.

I agree, it´s blasphemy - but you will not see Christians killing the artist and rioting in the streets and strapping bombs to our bodies - true Christianity lets a person make their own choice as to what they will do with Christ, no matter how much it may offend us or how much we may disagree with their choice - it´s all freedom of choice!

Thank you fellow Ldotters who see or have seen through RW. I don´t care how popular Warren is, I think he is close to a charlatan.

Now after four horrendous years under Obama, he disapproves of our Fraud-in-Chief´s deification? Old Rick should have done a little more research into Barry´s past and "convictions" back in 2008. Now it´s like the old saying: "It´s like closing the barn door after the horse gets out".

Foxx´s remark is somewhat reminiscent of the "heil Hitler" of the 1930´s.

Although Warren has no credibility as far as I´m concerned, he hits the nail on the head. Remember obamacare, big ears, and Kenyan birth. BO ultimately owned those terms, saying his health care bill is because he cares. It was a PERJORATIVE, but now they are cool with it. He routinely makes fun of us by making fun of his ears and his Kenyan birth. And the eaters love it. His comedic repertoire has evil undertones and being president for life and messiah will be the buzz words in 2016. He will slowly simmer into it, so cut it out. For starters, it is obamaNOcare. Learn it.

Jaime Foxx only said what most Obama voters think. He was cheered wildly, and what Democrat or black leader has criticized him? This is where we find ourselves.

Foxx is just doing what he was told to do by his masters, the state controlled media and the hollywood leftest crowd!
If Foxx did not say that he would NOT be invited back to the white house for dinner with his lord and savior, lord messiah o´bama
and may be given weak movies.
I think the state controlled media wanted to
see how the people would react to Foxx´s
statement.
What Foxx stated is nothing new,Farrahkan called o´bama the"Messiah".
The state controlled media dubbed o´bama the "messiah" so foxx is just being a good
servant to his masters, the state controlled media, farrahkan, and o´bama.
As far a Rick Warren goes...who cares!!??

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The National Council of La Raza (translation: The Race) has partnered with the Office of Personnel Management to encourage Hispanic activists and members to burrow into the federal government. A workshop sponsored by La Raza/The Race will take place in New Orleans on July 23, 2013. Senior Executive Service (SES) employees are federal government employees in special executive management positions, often with salaries approaching $200,000 per year (and well past that with benefits). When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
