In response to a question from reporter Major Garrett on whether the Obama administration´s mishandling of Benghazi raises "core questions of basic competency," press secretary Jay Carney revealed that Barack Obama "is not particularly concerned" about whether Susan Rice misled the American people: "What the president is worried about, Major, is what happened and why in Benghazi. He is not particularly concerned about whether the ambassador or I went out and talked about the fact that we believed extremists might have been responsible. And whether we named them as al Qaeda or not does not--no,
Comments: Amazing. The neverending arrogance of 0bama is just stunning. He´s not particularly concerned about anything but himself and his abuse of power. And we get four more years of it.
Nor is anybody else expressing concern. What a sorry comment on our citizens. What I see as an offense worthy of execution others see as "no big deal". I suppose that is why anyone with any power seems to imagine they are above the consequences of their actions. There isn´t that much power in all the world. The Necktie Party is being organized. Y´all come join!
And Obama´s pal, Egypt´s President Morsi doesn´t care what the courts, the legislature and the people think. Two peas in a pod. The party of moochers has done itself proud, out-doing the first Mooch herself.
Why should he worry about anytning? He could right now get away with ANYTHING and no one would want to throw him out. It is the most amazing thing I have ever heard. Chavez has nothing on him. The leader in Egypt has nothing on Obama. They are all doing what they want and there is nothing the American people can or will do about it because everyone is afraid of the man and his followers. America is over.....
That the American people were deliberately lied to by his messenger doesn´t particularly concern him. Let´s cut to the chase... This response really says, I don´t give a s--- about the truth or the American people. They don´t deserve to know anything. End of subject. Next?
This punk , his fellow punks and punketts will go down. They will be defeated, exposed, and shunned . In the meantime, ignore his ´laws/rules/regs/ and do everything in your power to dry up the cash flow to their filthy paws and the paws of the takers. Yes, Takers, for we all know what type of person we´re taking about. We know it´s not the truly needy we abhor. It´s the classless filth that just takes while we work our butts off. For me, No more. I already gave at the office.
I sure hope Rants Pants will get another turn as RNC chairman. He will know what to do about this sort of thing.
I´m not that surprised that EVERY check and balance mechanism has been neutered or circumvented. That control for responsive, LEGAL, government went out the window when the filthy politicians were able to create laws that didn´t apply to them. What should terrify every non government citizen is the fact that the Republican opposition is either blackmailed or too afraid to act on ANY of this administrations blatant crimes. ALL of this is just fine with a media that created the most bizarre President ever.
Judgment Day is going to be a real eyeopener for Obama and all his cronies!
Susan Rice sacrificed her intelligence/believeability! She will no longer be trusted/admired. She sold her soul and one day will regret it.
America has denigrated our stature in the world by the conniving and dishonesty of this administration. Sadly, we are reaping the consequences.
We still have "In God we Trust" on our money. Hold fast that reality!
We have allowed/encouraged abortions, gay rights/marriage, all against God´s Way and He will have the last word - sadly, being - Depart from Me, for I never knew you! Hell is hot and confined!
Pray for America!
Entitlents have/will continue to destroy the land we love, where many fought/died for the freedom we take for granted.
Pray for America!
Don´t let Obama and all those who bow at his throne take away what Almighty God has given US - Freedom!
This election was stolen! We will reap the consequences - again!
I still think the parents of those who died because Obama did not act immediately, should sue him and the country and let there be a free trial where "all" the evidence will be forthcoming and we, the people, will see for ourselves who is in control!
Again, pray for America! God blessed US and we took Him for granted. No more! Make a stand for righteousness!
You can bet that Obama is not going to be particularly concerned about much going forward besides his progressive agenda. He is probably laughing like hell at the Republicans, Fox News, and others who are all wound up about what Susan Rice said on those news shows, as Obama said they should come after him, as you can be sure that he either told her what to say, or someone else in his crew did, and in the end nothing is going to be done about all that. That is the way it is going to be for the next four years.
I used to believe that Stinky´s chickens would all come home to roost on Nov 6. Now I don´t know what to think. The GOP is in no position to stand in his way and they are too meek to do so anyway. The MSM has been championing his every utterance.
He´ll skate on this like he has on everything else.
It seems like the Dark Ages has arrived for America. It could only happen because of the illiterate citizens who allowed this man to govern. Why would anyone be shocked that he is not concerned? He was the one who sent her out to lie.
Got to say something else here. The Republican Congress just as well pack their bags and go home for the next 4 years. There is NO way to win with this man. It reminds me of an ant sparing with an elephant. There is nothing we can do now. We are doomed.... there is no hope for America - ever again.
all the liberal teachers, professors, writers, actors, many doctors, psychologists, social workers, engineers (even from MIT) all believe obama is great. add them to the 47% and most of the country thinks this guy is great, the country is going to be fine and all is well. in their opinion, romney would have ruined the country and was a fascist. so the rest of us can rail all we want and it´s to the wind. stock up on food, water, medicine and get a gun. that´s what i´m doing. still in shock that romney lost. 2 lousy percent. where the hell were those 2%?
Look at all the attention paid to 2016. First, Obama is goingto get the22nd Amendment scotched-then he canrun again.. And which GOPer would you want torun against him. which would be the designated loser of that go-around. Second The congress passed all that lousy legislation leading to the so-called fiscal cliff. One of the GOP could prepare a bill in the House to cancel or repeal it and sent it to the Senate. The Congress acts like the legisalation came from King George III and nothing they can do. Even Chief Justice Roberts told Congress to clean up their act and re-do what they don´t like, maybe he was right.
President Obama has recalled John Podesta to work at the White House as a “counselor.” Podesta is the Clinton hand who founded the far-left Center for American Progress (home of the clownish Think Progress blog). Podesta’s appointment, which needs no congressional approval, comes at a time when Obama is already making moves to do without Congress. He has used executive actions to re-write Obamacare, and to recalibrate immigration law, both in ways that just happen to favor either himself or the Democrats. The New York Times reports that Podesta will work on executive actions when he returns to the White
On CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday, new host Brian Stelter turned to President Obama the press critic. At the end of his cakewalk “Hardball” interview last week, Obama called out the media for being divisive. “The American people are good and they are decent. And yes, we get very divided partly because our politics and our media specifically tries to divide them and splinter them.” Stelter asked a decent question about whether that was an odd statement to make on divisive MSNBC. NPR television critic Eric Deggans shot that down, insisting MSNBC was a “great place” to attack cable news
Former CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed classified information at a 2011 awards ceremony attended by Zero Dark Thirty filmmaker Mark Boal, according to documents obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch. The CIA allowed Boal, the screenwriter of Zero Dark Thirty, to attend a June 24, 2011 award ceremony celebrating the successful raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan that May. A transcript of Panetta’s speech that night obtained by Judicial Watch is labeled “top secret,” and significant portions of it are redacted. At the conclusion his speech, Panetta told the audience, “You have made me proud
UPDATE: Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Patty Murray unveiled a budget proposal Tuesday night. The proposal, which has yet to be voted on, busts through sequester caps, setting FY 2014 spending at $1.014 trillion — billions beyond the levels mandated by sequester. The proposal contains no mention of pension reform. Conservatives had better start paying attention to the budget battle raging in Washington: If things go south — and they are poised to do just that — the tea party’s single greatest policy victory, the sequester, could be destroyed. And worse yet, it could be destroyed in exchange for nothing. The sequester
Approval of ObamaCare in the United States has risen eight percentage points in the last month, according to a new poll. Thirty-nine percent of people now approve of the law, according to a CBS News/New York Times poll released Tuesday evening. Half of the public, by contrast, disapproves of ObamaCare, the poll found. Nearly 60 percent say they don’t think the sign-up process for ObamaCare is going well, but more than one-third say it’s improving. These figures come in just ten days after the administration touted the repaired federal portal for the insurance, HealthCare.gov. Obama’s general job approval rating has increased to 42 percent,
Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), in an appearance on MSNBC´s "PoliticsNation" on Friday, condemned former Sen. Rick Santorum´s comments comparing Nelson Mandela´s fight against apartheid to the fight against Obamacare as "shameful." "And actually if I was going to make a comparison, I would make the opposite comparison, because I think the struggle for justice, which Nelson Mandela led for so many years is similar as the struggle for the health care as a right for people in the richest country in the world, and so the idea that they would make that comparison in the opposite way is just tragic,"
According to a new Rasmussen Report, the majority of Americans do not believe the deportation of illegal immigrants living in the United States is aggressive enough. More than 20 House Democrats last week urged President Obama to halt the deportation of illegal immigrants until Congress passes a comprehensive immigration reform plan, but voters by a two-to-one margin oppose that idea. Most already think the federal government is not vigilant enough in deporting those who are in this country illegally. Only 29% of Likely U.S. Voters think the government should stop deporting illegal immigrants until Congress passes an immigration reform plan.
US President Barack Obama may have moved the masses attending Nelson Mandela’s memorial service with his stirring eulogy, but it was his grinning "selfie" with the Danish and British premiers that set social networks abuzz. In a candid moment captured by a photographer, Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt can be seen holding up her smartphone, with Obama lending a helping hand, as they pose for a picture with David Cameron, all three of them smiling broadly in their seats at Soweto’s World Cup stadium.(Snip)Mashable, the news and technology website, ran the photograph under the headline: ‘‘Dear Obama: Funerals are no place
When I was a kid, I knew two different Santa Clauses. The first had a fat belly, rosy cheeks, a long white beard, and skin as pink as bubble gum. He was omnipresent, visiting my pre-school and the local mall, visible in all of my favorite Christmas specials. Then there was the Santa in my family’s household, in the form of ornaments, cards, and holiday figurines. A near-carbon copy of the first one—big belly, rosy cheeks, long white beard: check, check, check. But his skin was as dark as mine. Seeing two different Santas was bewildering. Eventually I asked my father what
On his way to the podium at the memorial ceremony for former South African president Nelson Mandela, President Obama walked down the line of dignitaries, greeting other leaders there to pay their respects. Among the hands shaken: that of Cuban leader Raul Castro. Obama neither made a special effort to shake Castro’s hand nor to avoid him. A snub might have been awkward: In his speech, Obama praised Mandela’s “greatest gift” as “his recognition that we are all bound together in ways that can be invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by
The Obama State Department has finally released a second round of photos revealing the harrowing devastation wrought by a terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. The new photographs depict rampant damage to the consulate. They show charred walls, smoldering fires, Arabic graffiti defacing exterior walls, and scattered debris throughout. The extent of the damage would lead any reasonably serious person to conclude that this was a cold, calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately for the American people, the Obama-Clinton-Rice cabal that led to the Benghazi cover-up was
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f----t!”
A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
Johannesburg - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela´s memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday. Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa´s government said it was preparing a statement. Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages. South African sign language covers all of the country´s 11 official languages, according to the federation. It wasn´t immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a
