| According to the leaders of the global warming doomsday cult, the average surface temperature of Earth is 14 degrees Celsius (57.2 degrees Fahrenheit), but this is a new value which has quietly replaced the original average of 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit). In March 1988, a few months before NASA´s James Hansen asserted before the Congress that global warming was in progress, the New York Times quoted him as saying that he used 59 degrees Fahrenheit as the average global temperature to calculate the temperature variations.

If you are caught faking ("correcting" he calls it) the numbers too much for the observed data, like Hansen has been, and too many honest researchers are publicly finding no upward trend in temperatures - you need to be innovative to keep the scam going.
Lower the baseline temp and you instantly "gain" a whole degree Celcius in the "measured global warming".
Global warming doomsday cult indeed.

If they left the baseline at 15 they can´t show a warming trend. This just more evidence of their fraudulent claims of global warming.

James Hansen has changed the baseline world temperature to absolute zero - - so that any positive temperatures recorded anywhere represent an infinite increase from the baseline.
Temperature increases of infinity each year mean that budgets for glo-bull warming grants will also have to increase infinitely each year.
It´s the "settled science" thing to do.

#1 - It may not be the number 1 concern but it is a concern. Manipulated data will form the rationale for carbon taxes and the ultimate economic assault upon the US planned by the international community. We must expose the manipulation at every turn.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

Remember president Obama´s first pitch of the MLB 2010 season at the Washington Nationals ballpark? It sailed towards the home team dugout. While he couldn´t throw a baseball within ten feet of home plate -- even if it took a double bounce on the way in -- Obama has tossed perfect incendiary strikes inside his own clubhouse, sending his entire team to the disabled list, demoted to the minor leagues, or banned from the game for life. What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. But any truth about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans appears to have been put six feet under as far as our current administration is concerned. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday.
