What does it all mean?

Every two to four years since 1992, we have found ourselves with a new realigning election -- one that shifts things "forever" in one party´s favor, only to come apart shortly thereafter in a re-realignment or a draw. Ideologies show no patterns of permanent dominance. There seems one signal of reliability: In each election of the modern political era (since 1980, when the parties became markedly more ideological), the presidency always has gone to the party that fielded the best politician, the most gifted and supple political animal, and the better political team.

No patterns of permanent dominance? Since the 1930s the country has been moving toward totalitarian socialism, with an almost unbroken series of GOP retreats and surrenders. Even when the GOP held Congress for a short time in the mid-90s, Newt Gingrich did not cut federal spending. The last time that happened was 91948, under a Democrat president.

It means the communists/fascists have won.

It means we are all slaves to the state.

It means the velvet glove remains on the iron fist, for now, until enough people realize what has happened.

It means: Get ready...´cause here it comes.

You don´t know socialism until you live socialism. The first term was all promises, with deliverables not to be measured until after the election. Seniors on Medicare Advantage haven´t learned that their plan is no longer available in 2013. Defense employees haven´t learned that will be laid off in January. Low and middle income workers haven´t yet received their first 2013 paycheck. Industry hasn´t begun the lay-offs caused by the tens of thousands or regulations released since the election.

The leader of the feuding Hatfield family, who fears Obamacare will bankrupt the medical careers of his three children, is jumping into politics to help a West Virginia pharmacist win an open House seat to join the GOP effort to torpedo the president´s trademark program. “They’re going to be put of business,” Mark Hatfield said of three children: a pediatrician, a dentist and a pharmacist. “Obama’s destroyed health care,” he told Secrets. Hatfield is surviving face of the 1800s Hatfield & McCoy feud and the most famous surrogate for Ken Reed, a center-right candidate from Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Reed is one of

Five former Buffalo Bills cheerleaders are suing the NFL team for unspecified damages, claiming they weren´t paid for their time at games or mandatory public appearances that left them open to groping and sexual comments. The lawsuit is the third filed this year against a National Football League team by its cheerleaders. The Oakland Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals also have pending wage battles. Two members of the Buffalo Jills squad held a news conference Tuesday with their attorney, Frank Dolce, explaining how they were each exploited out of ´840 hours of work´ and subjected to harassment, such as being told to sit of

ALBANY—Andrew Cuomo put in a written application for Hillary Clinton´s U.S. Senate seat, emphasizing in conversations with then-governor David Paterson that he was “available” for the job, according to interviews and newly available records. In addition, Kirsten Gillibrand, who was ultimately selected by Paterson to succeed Clinton, cemented her standing by commiserating with the governor after a mean-spirited parody on "Saturday Night Live;" teachers´ union leader Randi Weingarten was the only candidate who returned Paterson´s consolation call after the Gillibrand pick in Jan. 2009; and Caroline Kennedy got an unsolicited boost from Afghan president Hamid Karzai. Good Lord, can someone just give Tapper a Sunday show and be done with it? As “Meet the Press” flails into third place under the leadership of David Gregory, and the institution of the Sunday show rides the downward slope toward irrelevance, NBC sent a psychologist to Gregory’s friends and family on a hunt for Gregory’s charm in an odd attempt to right the ship. But before we get to that, how bad is the Sunday scene? Schieffer’s winning overall and in the demo. The young people, they’re flocking to Bob over the 43-year-old Gregory: These days, the leader is “Face the

It´s not just kids who are overdoing screen time. Parents are often just as guilty of spending too much time checking smartphones and e-mail — and the consequences for their children can be troubling. Dr. Jenny Radesky is a pediatrician specializing in child development. When she worked at a clinic in a high-tech savvy Seattle neighborhood, Radesky started noticing how often parents ignored their kids in favor of a mobile device. She remembers a mother placing her phone in the stroller between herself and the baby. "The baby was making faces and smiling at the mom," Radesky says, "and the mom

Spanish art dealer Jose Carlos Bergantiños Diaz helped persuade wealthy buyers to shell out millions of dollars for works he claimed famous masters of modern art had painted. But in reality, U.S. authorities allege, the works he sold as Rothkos and Pollocks were fakes painted by an artist he met on a Manhattan street corner. The alleged scheme stretched for nearly two decades, involved several New York art galleries and earned the conspirators more than $30 million, according to an indictment unsealed in federal court on Monday. Last week, authorities closed in on Bergantiños and his brother, arresting them in Spain, federal prosecutors

How Jet Stowaways Can

LOS ANGELES -- Despite the subzero temperatures and lack of oxygen, people can survive even a long journey in the wheel well of a jetliner. The latest example is a teenager who, according to authorities, stowed away on a 5 1/2-hour flight from San Jose, Calif., to Hawaii. While the number of known stowaway attempts is few, people have survived with surprising frequency. HOW DANGEROUS ARE THE CONDITIONS? Very. At 38,000 feet - the cruising altitude of the Hawaiian Airlines flight that the FBI says the 15-year-old took Sunday - the outside air temperature is about minus 85 degrees. The

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. She blamed the Obama administration

Public Trust: Sixty-one percent polled say President Obama lies "some of the time" or "most of the time" on matters of national importance. Americans have to ask: Why do we let him get away with it? It´s no surprise that a Fox News poll of 1,012 registered voters last week found immense distrust of a president whose main domestic initiative was based on a lie. The shock is that the same poll found his disapproval level down to its lowest since last fall. Asked, "How often do you think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters?" 37% replied "most of

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

Fraud runs rampant in Census Bureau

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning
