Fluke-y list for Time mag
Boston Herald, by Michael Graham

Original Article

When I first saw the report that Sandra Fluke was on Time magazine’s “Person Of The Year” short list, I immediately looked for the logo for the online parody newspaper The Onion. Alas, Time is serious — raising the question of whether the magazine itself has finally reached full “parody” status. Then I thought about it. Why does “Sandra Fluke — Person Of The Year” strike me as so ridiculous? Because she’s a 32-year-old woman who’s still in college (“Grade 25,” as humorist Mark Steyn calls it)?

And thus a once great institution descends into utter trivia on its way to the recycling bundle.

Mainstream media, Gangnam style.

I guess to some degree,Obama won with the manufactured war on women in which Fluke was a major player. Unfortunately is was Limbaugh who escalated this hapless woman´s profile.

The other side of the coin is republicans did a terrible job fighting back against the left´s assertions, especially Romney. Not even mentioned in all this is Obama using Obamacare and tax dollars to buy off a certain % of the female vote.

If republicans proposed using Obamacare to improve men´s health issues, they would have been laughed off the planet.

White (heterosexual) men are almost completely roped off from a whole range of government bennies because they supposedly capitalize on white privilege and therefore aren´t entitled to government help. I´m sure quite a few are in disability but they probably paid into it also.

White privilege is another liberal myth created by the poverty pimps to increase the notion that others are economically and socially oppressed. The truth is whites have more ambition and know how and that´s how they get ahead.

White people get turned down for jobs, loans, credit cards etc. all the time because of historical profiles the same standards apply to others.

I mean there´s no question that housing redlining was and still is in practice to some degree but it´s to protect the integrity of home values and neighborhood blight. Detroit didn´t turn into a basketcase overnight,it took years for it to happen.

Liberals are among the biggest white flighters in the country and even when they´re stuck in near urban areas, they send their kids to private schools.Even so they´re real big on neighborhood diversity with is code for blockbusting. What is the actual tangible benefit to having diverse neighborhoods? Actually nothing but a metric for liberals to pat themselves on their backs

The name Rush Limbaugh is the only reason anyone´s heard the name Sandra Fluke.

Poster #2 gets it right. "Liberals are among the biggest white flighters" - my own lib brother & SIL had to move from a city neighborhood that was being taken over by noisy illegals living three families to a house. SIL was afraid of the newcomers & they moved to a semi-rural area, that while safe, has no close-by ammenities. She complains constantly, but when she preaches about the superiority of BO and his dem policies, she always praises "diversity!" loudly and proudly. I´ve never met a lib who wasn´t an unembarrassed hypocrite.

I have nominated Time Magazine for "Pimp of the Year". Cover story to be "juicy".

Trouble is, on this one, Rush was right.

Not only is she one, she´s cheap, ´cause she doesn´t want to use her future $160K salary to pay for her $9 a month pills.

That´s the job of some poor slob in flyover country.

Reply 7 - Posted by: LouD, 11/28/2012 8:29:58 AM     (No. 9037206)

And, @4, your SIL will bring her liberal friends (who are all talk when it come down to backing up what they claim) to that semi-rural area, and make it a high-tax haven for wealthy libs, just as has happened in Vermont and New Hampshire, among other states. It´s what they do.

I hope she wins.

That would be the final nail in the coffin of what was once a news magazine.

Time "Person of the Year"? Oh, please. That´s about as meaningful as the Nobel "Peace Prize". It´s a political statement, nothing more. So, give yourself a pat on the back, Kitten. It´s about as praiseworthy as a degree in "Transgender Studies".

"Fluke - parasitic worm - worm that is parasitic on the intestines of vertebrates especially roundworms and tapeworms and flukes."

Sounds about right for her, who wants the taxpayer to pay for her birth control. One of the 47% crowd.

So, let me get this straight direct from the Libs at Time...all women are now judged as to how big a slut they are...talk about a WAR on WOMEN!

May be she should have made sure it was written into her scholarship that she would receive free birth control pill and/or the morning after pill, from the University.

THE BATHROOM IS LARGE, immaculate and low-lit, finished in rich wood, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and brushed metal. Wearing the thick bathrobe provided by an attendant, I walk from the shower to the wash basin. The heat radiates from the floor through my slippers. I have my own shaving gear with me but still browse through boxes and trays for accoutrements I might prefer. This is one of the nicest lavatories I´ve ever been in. It also happens to be 35,000 feet in the air. I´m aboard one of Emirates Airline´s double-decker Airbus A380s. According to the flight-progress map

It happens now and then. You hear a story so sad, so beautiful, so filled with loss and pain and grief and love, that it makes you cry. Really cry. Two years ago, I was making a grocery run for my family on Memorial Day when a story came on the local NPR station in Oxford, Miss. It was about a father whose son had been killed in action in northwest Afghanistan. The father was Paul Monti; his son was Sergeant Jared Monti. Jared died in Afghanistan trying to save the life of one of his men.

The recent attack on a British soldier by assassins wielding meat cleavers while bystanders looked on raises the question: “Why didn’t anyone try to help the victim?” Because British citizens are prohibited from carrying objects that could be used as “offensive weapons.” While it is well known that Brits cannot carry guns, a lesser known law prohibits any subject of the Queen from carrying a knife of consequence, pepper spray or a stun gun.According to the United Kingdom government website, the online storehouse of British government regulations, it is illegal to:

DALLAS—It hasn´t been the best of years for Big Tex, the 52-foot-tall animatronic cowboy who has greeted visitors to the State Fair of Texas for decades. His mechanical hand, which waved from side to side as he bellowed "Hoooowdy folks," stopped working before the fair opened last September. His 60th birthday celebration, which was to include one of the country´s biggest marching bands, was rained out. Then catastrophe struck three days before the fair ended last October. After a suspected electrical short inside his size 70 cowboy boots, Mr. Tex went up in a burst of flames that devoured

What would help a lot right now, as the chilling reality of savagery engulfs us, would be a cultural green light to begin calling evil what it is, to begin calling it by its name, to stop dancing around demographics because of the fear someone, somewhere will take offense. There is always someone, somewhere looking for a reason to be offended. Jesse Jackson has fashioned a lucrative career out of being perpetually peeved. It works if you know how to play the game. And one of the reasons it works is that too many people who ought to know better allow themselves

The White House on Friday didn’t respond to a report that Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the seizure a Fox News reporter’s phone and email records — and with no daily press briefing scheduled Friday that could mean silence from the administration through the Memorial Day weekend. NBC News reported Thursday that Holder approved the search of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s private emails and phone records in a probe of leaked government information. That revelation came just as the president ordered Holder to review Justice Department guidelines for investigating reporters. White House officials have not yet responded

Can Obama Declare Peace?

President Obama’s speech at the National Defense University calling for an end to the war on terror forces the question of who gets to declare peace. The Left wing in our political debate has been agitating for some time to repeal the authorization to use military force that the Congress passed after 9/11. The President boarded the bandwagon yesterday. He vowed he would sign no laws designed to expand the mandate and declared outright that he looks forward “to engaging Congress and the American people in efforts to refine, and ultimately repeal” the congressional mandate to use force.

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

The murder of a soldier in south London on Wednesday has prompted fears of a backlash against British Muslims after the English Defence League staged an impromptu rally in the capital and two mosques were attacked. The BNP leader, Nick Griffin, has also reacted to the killing with provocative tweets calling for a protest in Woolwich and claiming the crime is the result of "mass immigration". Farooq Murad of the Muslim Council of Britain said the EDL´s rally in London on Wednesday night was cause for concern.
