| Three Republican senators who met Tuesday with U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice say they left the meeting with more unanswered questions about her comments after the deadly September 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. “I am more disturbed now than before,” said South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham. The Capitol Hill meeting lasted about 90 minutes and also was attended by acting CIA Director Michael Morell. Graham was joined by Sens. Kelly Ayotte, of New Hampshire, and John McCain, the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
|
Comments: Simply put, if Rice can´t obfuscate [lie, to those in Rio Linda], she doesn´t deserve to be a future Secretary of State on 0bama´s team. This went as most of US expected. Now, what will the GOP do? Whine, or keep going after 0bama till the truth of Benghazi is revealed and those responsible for the deaths of Ambassador Stevens and the three men are criminally charged and convicted.

As far as I can tell, no talking head has asked anyone (especially in the Administration) if no one was sure about what was the cause(s) of the attack and it was/(is) being invetsigated, then why didn´t you (Rice) just say that? Instead it was the video ad nauseum.
And if as Obama stated she had nothing to do with Benghazi, State Dept security/diplomatic building issues, etc. then why was she sent out if she could not answer any questions that required some knowledge of State, etc.? Why wasn´t the actual SoS sent out on these talk shows?

Has anyone asked this question: If President Obama labled the Benghazi massacre a terrorist attack the day after it occured (as was his infamous claim in the second debate, supported and "verified" by Candy Crowley), then how is it that Rice was flitting about days later blaming the killings on a spontaneous flare-up by protesters enraged over an anti-Muslim video posted on YouTube?
Can someone post that question, preferably directly to the President, please?

Asking Rice in politely for a private meeting was a tactical error. When will they learn? The Senators should ignore her totally until/unless she is up for Sec of State. Then, PUBLIC hearings under oath and ask her everything. All criticism, scrutiny should be directed at one person - OBAMA. This emphasis on Rice only helps him.

Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glenn Dougherty were slaughtered like animals over a 7 hour period as the President sat and watched on live drone video feed, doing nothing since any response would have laid lie to his ´Arab Spring´ policy.
There are no more questions to answer, other than WHY is the Republican party not pushing an indictment of TREASON.

Remember Watergate. The Dems and the press didn´t let up for five minutes. They shoved that cover up in our face the way they did Obamacare. But of course, Nixon was a mean white man not a submissive Black woman.
Rice is damaged goods who brings little credibility to the world stage, especially in the Middle East. But King Obama wants her to prove a point that he gets whatever he wants.

That´s Washington-speak for it went really, really, really badly.
I don´t really have a read on Rice, of course she made a perfect fool of herself about Benghazi and a respectable person would quit and go home after that no matter whose fault it was, but DC is generally short of respectable people in any case. Is she a female Eric Holder, basically a toady whatever her actual ability level?

Correction #3, she is an incompetent, political stooge. Her record of failure should be enough to bar her from higher office. In this brave new world, it guarantees it because all her failures were to the detriment of the U.S. Remember, she couldn´t be bothered to attend Netanyahu´s speech to the UN, she was having lunch with the dictator crowd.

Kelly Ayotte is doing herself no favors by coat-tailing McCain and Graham. She probably feels when she throws her hat in the ring for 2016 these two will secure many followers for her. She will echo the other two on the meeting with Rice if they ever give her a chance to talk.

Kelly Ayotte is on Fox with Megyn, saying she found Rice´s "explanation" to be "unsatisfactory".
Ayotte is smart. Her speech is odd which hampers her ability to communicate. Raspy. Nerves or ? Otherwise she seems smart, although not quite as take-charge as I´d like to see. Some were mentioning her for VP with Romney. Not sure about her being at that level. Seems right just where she is.

If the meeting raised more questions than were answered, then one could only say it went well.
Because Susan Rice is one huge question mark. And further illumination of her background will only reveal more and more shadows and dark corners.
So why do I have this feeling of impending dread that Lindsey Graham is STILL going to capitualte and vote for her confirmation anyway?

PS to #30. Ayotte never got an answer from Rice as to who gave her the talking points and sent her to the talk shows other than "the White House", which is not an answer. We know that. WHO in the White House? Now maybe Ayotte knows, but if she doesn´t she failed on this one.
Ayotte is still hung up on who changed the talking points when we know that it was someone in Clapper´s group - the DNI - but again there has to have been a person. Or he is falling on their collective sword and it was again that illusive, ephemeral "White House".

#34 cont´d (hit submit too soon)
One statement Ayotte made positively: In response to a question from Megyn as to whether they thought Rice was confirmable, she said that there were too many questions to be answered on the entire Benghazi incident before "anyone is confirmed" for "the highest diplomatic post in our government".
Now that is getting somewhere.

Well she was circulated, among the talk shows, to circulate the spin with no accountability because, well, she´s out of the chain. (BTW-why did the networks even let her in, when this whole debacle had nothing to do with her job/duties? Oh, b/c she just said DC sent her?! Try something new, lame American networks-it´s called "verification and screening". If this had taken place-there would be no pay dirt for Obama and his Simon-Says with: events, players, truth. The networks willingly play into his hands)
Now Obamba wants to reward her for being a good little lying, interference-running spinmeister. The foolish Repubs let the democrats set the agenda, like someone chasing a dollar bill on the sidewalk, being pulled along by invisible fishing line. When will they learn? The dems will go around saying now that Lindsey and McCain had their chance to clear the air in this meeting and issue over-confirm her NOW, when the meeting should have been, just as mentioned above, under oath and subject to perjury charges. Why is Hillary allowed to skate? Where the h is she?!
There isn´t much reason to have faith in the pub attack dogs-there´s no there, there. It´s really disappointing. They´ve let us down time and time again. Ie now F&F is just a memory.

When I heard that, I laughed. Ruefully. For even if Susan Rice had any personal charm whatsoever (as Condi Rice did), there is not a snowball´s chance in hell she could stuff her Big Lie back in the bottle.

Rice is simply fodder...ask Obama these questions:
IF Obama gave the order to save the Ambassador, military attache and the Seals, there Is a written order...SHOW IT..PROVE it ...
EXACTLY WHERE was Obama at the time of the attack???..over those 7 hours...
Why was Obama running missiles and armaments through Turkey, using them as a conduit and into Syria to AlQaeda ???
Why was the Turkish counsel there in Benghazi??? At a CIA safe house?
30,000 Missing missiles and Manpads launchers,,,WHY??? Is this Fast and Furious II Missile Running??? Why was the known Arms Dealer´s ship at Benghazi´s port??? This is traitorous SEDITION if the president is arms running...And if as thought to an enemy, Al Qaeda, of the USA?? Do we have a traitor in the WH...
Ambassador Stevens was raped as reported, was this because the USA stood by and let our supported rebel forces rape Kaddaffi...PAYBACK by Russia...
Is this a proxy war with Russia?...It would seem so... as Russia is angered with our turn over of their allies Libya and now in process Syria, to the Muslim Brotherhood...Why would this president want to start WWIII?
Was Russia sending us a message on Election Day with RUSSIAN NUCLEAR SUBMARINES off our East Coast.???
Who told those Seals to light themselves up with Laser...they would Only have done that if told the Drone above would give them cover and use that light up to draw out and kill the enemy...the Seals did not draw fire to out their position and to get themselves slaughtered? Who gave the order to lie to the Seals toure the laser to get them murdered?
What is Lochkeed´s part in the direct commerce of Missile running?
Why is the USA, against our NATO treaty, handing over Stinger Missiles to Al Qaeda, an entity of the Muslim Brotherhood?

As the impasse over Tehran’s nuclear program worsens, those most likely to be directly affected by an Iranian bomb are showing greater alarm. While the media fixates on Israel and its possible reaction, other regional players have no less at stake. Despite Riyadh’s long-held advocacy of making the Middle East a zone free of weapons of mass destruction, there has been much speculation in the past few years about the possibility of its acquiring, or developing, nuclear weapons should Tehran obtain the bomb. In the words of Saudi King Abdullah: “If Iran developed nuclear weapons (...) everyone in the

The Vatican has denied claims that Pope Francis performed an exorcism, after TV images showed a man apparently reacting to him putting his hands on his head. The encounter - during Sunday Mass - was shown on a TV channel owned by the Italian bishops´ conference. The station quoted exorcists as saying there was "no doubt" the Pope had either performed an exorcism or a prayer to free the man from the devil. Its director later apologised for "having altered the truth". The Pope´s spokesman said he "did not intend to perform any exorcism".

Mexico City - Guatemala’s highest court on Monday threw out the genocide conviction and prison sentence of the former dictator Gen. Efraín Ríos Montt. The decision by Guatemala’s Constitutional Court was a dramatic legal victory for General Ríos Montt, 86, and a blow to human rights advocates who had called his conviction a sign that Guatemala’s courts would no longer allow impunity for the country’s powerful. General Ríos Montt was sent to prison immediately after the verdict on May 10 when a three-panel tribunal found him guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
