Chris Christie’s Job Approval
Rockets To Record 77% In
Wake Of Hurricane Sandy

New Jersey’s outspoken Republican Gov. Chris Christie frustrated members of his party when he praised President Barack Obama’s response to Hurricane Sandy just days before the 2012 presidential election. Christie’s bipartisan approach to storm relief has, however, endeared him to the Garden State’s Democrats. A new poll shows Christie’s job approval rating has rocketed to a personal record of 77 percent with a majority of New Jersey Democrats giving Christie positive marks. A Fairleigh Dickenson University poll of 241 registered voters in New Jersey, taken from November 13 – 18, showed

Comments:
Warning of picture of 0bama & Christie in an "intimate embrace." For those who need a jolt of Christie news, take a deep breath and realize that he is getting a 77% approval rating in this poll by dRATS.

In his best Ralph Kramden impression for Saturday Night Live, Christie should have his bud Ed Norton remind US that he once said: "Well, if I was asked to describe your build, I´d say you have, uh, very well developed muscles, uh, a good bone structure, very good bone structure, fine frame... and the whole thing is covered with fat." You´d never make it in Bloomberg´s New York City.

Chances (if any) of the Republican nomination for the WH in ´16 have vaporized. He probably will run for the Democrat nomination. Stranger things have happened.

When you pull your tongue out of Obama´s mouth, kiss your future in the GOP goodbye, Fatboy.

Nevertheless, he will no longer be getting this conservative New Jerseyan´s vote.

neat..
and it is REMARKABLE that it will, somehow, be at about SEVEN PERCENT the day before his next election..

A poll of 241 people is not much of a poll in a well populated state like Jersey. Christie was probably surprised and grasping from help and of course, flapears would be there right before the election to get favorable comments. Did not last long and he is as big a dunce as ever - the next few endless years will pass - tooooo slow.

He played that almost as well as Gearge H. W. bush played Desert Storm. Huge approval ratings. Then ... Very popular in a Dem state and worth watching if the GOP decides to just merge with the Demcoratic Party.

Let´s see how his ratings are when he is no longer a useful idiot for the dems. Remember how McCain fell from grace with the media

Tiz a very very liberal polling group that seems like a nascent campaign for Christie for President. No thank you on that.

The undeserved praise he gave to obama did absolutely nothing for the suffering of his constituents, but helped re-elect a man whose policies will continue to bring suffereing to tens of millions until his socialist agenda is stopped and reversed.

As far as I´m concerned he may as well become a democrat, like specter. He has no future in politics beyond New Jersey.

Of course the Democrats love him, he solidified
the re-election of a Democratic President. What
counts is if he happens to run for president, because Republicans are no longer happy with him. (and forget the idiotic weight comments ).
They have nothing to do with anything.

Christy has to get re-elected at home first, and he needed federal money to help with hurricane Sandy, so welcome-Obama. Christy is what is called ´pragmatic´ which is something Republicans need to learn. But Republicans never learn! They will pick another candidate like the last two next time. Because ´naughty Christy´ had his picture taken with Obama. Could it be that Republicans are just d____b?

It will sink when the residents have to pay the nearly $7,000 in add´ll tax come 2013 plus! the taxes Christie says he says are needed for rebuilding. Taxes that will never ever go back down.

The problem wasn´t that he met with Obama and reviewed the disaster area together. The problem is that Christie was slobbering all over Obama and kissing his feet practically. Of course we expect Governors to work with Presidents when there is a major disaster. Nobody is complaining about that. What people are angry about is Christie giving massive praise to Obama during the last few weeks of the election when he is supposed to be supporting Romney. He claimed that he still supported Romney. If that was so, then why (besides his fawning all over Obama) did he make a personal phone call to Obama to congratulate him on his re-election but only sent Romney an email????? Goon...hypocrite.

There are still hurting folks.. Buttttt.just no cameras.. Only the churchs are helping.. Can´t wait till the ACLU puts a stop to that heresy....

My take is that Christie had to kiss butt to get federal dollars. However, that will not even make a dent in the costs, especially with all the fraud, kick-backs, graft and theft. New Jersians are sure gonna wake up when they get there $7,000 to $10,000 increase in taxes next year. But then again, the state is mostly Ds, so they love higher taxes. What is the state´s economy right now? Look for the economy to take and tourism next summer to be anemic.

Sucking up to Barry and begging for ´free´ money ensures his reelection bid. This is the demonrat mentality of NJ voters.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued its 2013 Atlantic hurricane outlook on Thursday, with a warning that the United States could be hit by up to six major hurricanes this year. The seasonal average is three. Oceanic and atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic basin are expected to create stronger and more hurricanes, setting the stage for an “above normal and extremely active” season, said Gerry Bell, lead seasonal hurricane forecaster for NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, who explained the underlying reasons in a NOAA video.

Washington - President Obama said Thursday he was troubled by the possibility that leak investigations may "chill" investigative journalism and said he had asked Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. to review Justice Department guidelines for going after reporters or their records. "Journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs. Our focus must be on those who break the law," Obama said, referring to those who leak secret information. The statement seemed to mark a departure for the president, who has been particularly determined to investigate those in his administration who leak national

Niamey, Niger - Suicide bombers in Niger detonated two car bombs simultaneously, one inside a military camp in the city of Agadez and another in the remote town of Arlit at a French-operated uranium mine, killing 26 people and injuring 30, according to officials in Niger and France. (Snip) The timing of the attacks, which occurred at the same moment more than 160 kilometers (100 miles) apart, and the fact that the bombers were able to penetrate both a well-guarded military installation and a sensitive, foreign-operated uranium mine, highlight the growing reach and sophistication of the Islamic

Washington - Lois Lerner, the head of the Internal Revenue Service’s division on tax-exempt organizations, was put on administrative leave Thursday, a day after she invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to testify before a House committee investigating her division’s targeting of conservative groups. Lawmakers from both parties said Thursday that senior I.R.S. officials had requested Ms. Lerner’s resignation but that she refused, forcing them to put her on leave instead. Whether her suspension will lead to dismissal was unclear, given Civil Service rules that govern federal employment.

Phoenix - Jurors who spent five months determining Jodi Arias´ fate couldn´t decide whether she should get life in prison or die for murdering her boyfriend, sending prosecutors back to the drawing board to rehash the shocking case of sex, lies and violence to another 12 people. Judge Sherry Stephens gave a heavy sigh as she announced a mistrial in the penalty phase of the case Thursday and scheduled a July 18 retrial. "This was not your typical trial," she told jurors. "You were asked to perform some very difficult duties." As the panel filed out of the courtroom,

Spanish engineers, who already spent some $680 million on designing the new generation S-80 class submarine, say it is a major “technical innovation.” There is just one problem the calculations show – if submerged into water, it may never come up again. The Spanish media has been furiously discussing the errors made by the state-owned Navantia construction company, which has spent about a third of the huge $2.2 billion budget only to produce an ‘overweight’ submarine that is not able to float. Spain’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Navantia detected “deviations”

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
