| The Supreme Court on Monday ordered a federal appeals court to reconsider Liberty University’s legal argument that President Obama´s health care law violates the school’s religious freedom. The case will be returned to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va. “Today’s ruling breathes new life into our challenge to ObamaCare,” Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, which filed the suit on behalf of the school, said Monday. “Our fight against ObamaCare is far from over.” A federal judge in 2010 rejected Liberty’s claim, and the appeals court later ruled the lawsuit was

Obamacare is an abomination and un-Constitutional.
It should be doggedly fought on all sides. But keep a wooden stake handy, ´cause it´s not gonna want to stay dead.
Asides: a. Liberty University just had its engineering program certified. b. Though non-scholarship, the hockey program is pretty good. Lots of Canadian players, and the school plays a number of large universities as well as small ones with good programs [Davenport; Oakland]. Good players on both D1 and D2 teams.

0bamacare is unconstitutional. ...Who ever thought an American President would so challenge the USA´s own Constitution and, in order to get it passed, tries to sweep aside all ethics of Constitutionally secured, ´´equality,´´ through Presidential WAIVERS for some but not for others?! The lawyer-pols are turning our Justice system into a pretzel of special favors as 0bamacare trashes the entire Constitutional concept of the, ´´equality,´´ of each individual. Lefty/lib/statist policies are not about, ´´equality.´´ Instead, they are but tools to gain power for themselves over other people.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued its 2013 Atlantic hurricane outlook on Thursday, with a warning that the United States could be hit by up to six major hurricanes this year. The seasonal average is three. Oceanic and atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic basin are expected to create stronger and more hurricanes, setting the stage for an “above normal and extremely active” season, said Gerry Bell, lead seasonal hurricane forecaster for NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, who explained the underlying reasons in a NOAA video.

Washington - Lois Lerner, the head of the Internal Revenue Service’s division on tax-exempt organizations, was put on administrative leave Thursday, a day after she invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to testify before a House committee investigating her division’s targeting of conservative groups. Lawmakers from both parties said Thursday that senior I.R.S. officials had requested Ms. Lerner’s resignation but that she refused, forcing them to put her on leave instead. Whether her suspension will lead to dismissal was unclear, given Civil Service rules that govern federal employment.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

Longoria, 38, took home a real degree (not an honorary one) in Chicano studies from Cal State Northridge, where she physically attended classes for three years, according to TMZ. "Big day today!!! The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
