Judging from his behavior since becoming our leader, that´s a rather stupid question.

No doubt that Obama pals around with terrorists and does all that he can to orchestrate their victory. That said, having Muslim #1 make a rocket for Muslim #2 to fire off, places the odds strongly in Israel´s favor.

Netanyahu´s highest priority is finding the homes of the next set of Hamas´ leadership. Guess this is the Israeli form of affirmative action. I think Netanyahu should get the credit for this latest round of Hamas promotions.

Hamas got their rear end handed to them on a stick. If that´s victory, then many happy returns.

Look at his record. You won´t have to ask the question when you look at his record and listen to his words.

obama´s muslim upbringing makes him sympathetic to Hamas. Less so to democracy and our republic.

#4 is correct, Israel shot down their missiles, destroyed the Hamas headquarters, killed a couple of key thugs, and hit other targets. Hamas killed I believe five Israelis. This was a victory for Israel, but they should have kept bombing for another week.

Because he -Obama- has absolutely no idea, none whatsoever of what he is doing, that´s why. It´s not mysterious and it is not especially sinister. There are no secrets, no malevolent agendas, no sophisticated schemes to work evil. Not at all. It is incredibly simple. Obama and people who think like him are utter, militant, incorrigible fools. That´s all there is to it. I know it is tempting to construct more interesting and elaborate theories to explain their irrational and destructive behaviors and their bizarre theories. I have spent much time dwelling upon such complexities myself, before concluding that, as usual, the simplest explanation is the best. Those people -Obama and his faithful followers- are hopeless fools. Our best hope is that the inevitable consequences of their militant folly will awaken enough American sleepers and dreamers to prevent the re-election of such ridiculously incompetent people. It will hurt, but it may perhaps be instructive. For as Aeschylus noted long ago, "We suffer into truth."

Why did Obama do it? Because, as #10 states, Obama is clueless.

If Hamas isn´t defeated and forced to capitulate they win. Bibi handed Hamas victory. If you leave the smuggling routes open you lose. Netanyahu should have told Hillary that electricity, fuel, food and medicine shipments to Gaza would cease until the tunnels were shut and the Sinai - Gaza border was secured in a way that no weapons could enter. He stopped nothing.

Obama´s policies have created chaos in the Middle East. It is more volatile and the bad guys seem to have the upper hand. Some may believe that Obama is incompotent, but I believe he knows exactly what he is doing. He is on a mission to destroy us economically, militarily, and so weaken our influence on the world stage that we will not be able to support our ally Israel. The die is cast and this will not end well for anyone.

Israel escalates toward Hamas, and Iran gets involved. Then Barcky is stuck, obligated to Israel but without his heart in it.

He could have handled Iran years ago, and CHOSE NOT TO. Pressure now keeps up aligned with Israel, but not because he wants to be. Full-blown out war between Israel and Iran would necessarily bring us in, and in Barcky´s mind, on the wrong side.

#10, respectfully, you underestimate them. They know precisely what they are doing and are not "fools". The agenda is nothing less than the Islamization of America (and the world), and efforts toward that end are remarkably successful so far.

People understimate Obama and his puppeteers at their own peril. The outrageousness of their actions against America in the past 4 years will get even more outrageous. This IS a "sinister" plan. I´m sorry but the argument that it´s all due to incompetence and cluelessness just doesn´t hold up. Just look at the evidence. If it were simple incompetence, you would expect some random positive results every now and then. That never has happened. In every single case, his actions help our enemies (Hamas, Iran, Syria, etc.) and damage both us and our allies. Such consistency would not be the case with simple incompetence.

Whenever we are left scratching our heads trying to figure out why in the world someone did something that made no sense, had no apparent purpose, and yielded no identifiable benefit to anyone, the answer invariably is that they made money from it. Does anyone really think anything will be rebuilt once Hamas gets the cash? Seriously? Was the whole thing just an elaborate ruse to set up a money grab afterward?
