| Sin in haste, repent at leisure. One of the few silver linings in the dark cloud of Obama’s re-election is that millions of moonbats and Beautiful People who voted this month to continue our long national nightmare are now discovering, much to their chagrin, that they’re as screwed as all the “bitter clingers” who still go to church on Sunday. Not that it was any big secret, but it’s asking an awful lot of the dumbed-down modern electorate to pay attention to its own best interests.

Comments: The Boston Herald is taking a while to load, but be patient.

The women´s reproductive rights crowd voted against their own interest on the economy at least. How many 40 hour women will be cut back to 30 hour women as a result of Obamacare? Lot of single moms have a hard time on 40 hour weeks getting by.The fabricated war on women was never there to begin with, only some religious orgs. protesting abortion pills mostly.

Liberals will see no correlation between their whim for voting for obama and the destroyed future they will have. I´m from ma and have talked to these people and they cannot get their heads around the facts of life. Smelly, noisy business, vote it out of our town or raise the taxes because we overspent and are in debt, the business moves out, the taxes go up on them. So they repeat the process, bellyache and cannot comprehend why their town is in such financial difficulty. Hours cut because their business cannot afford obamacare? How can that be? And they ALL have college degrees. Hours cut be

I hope they rot in H---, quite seriously. And I want to add that that includes the Evangelicals in Westchester County, N.Y. (and I am sure country wide) who were told by their leaders (and who were so dull as to follow instructions) NOT to vote for Mitt Romney because he belongs to a "godless religion." So now we have a godless president visiting god awfulness on us!!!!!!!!!! (And I want to add my Libertarian friends who voted for Johnson just to feel so special and make their mark. What DID they think would happen?)

#6 is correct. Libs may suffer but they will never see the correlation with voting for O and his policies. Just like their peerless leader, they will never accept that they were wrong or admit blame. Willfully blind to reality, they will go on cursing whatever conservative scapegoat still exists.

On a positive note, just think how many new jobs will be created as more part-timers will need to be hired to take up the slack of those reduced hours. Zero can then take credit for creating zillions of new jobs. "Part-time, the new normal." Then again all those whose hours are cut may just get more part-time work filling in somewhere else. Hmmm.

I hope all the new part-time employees who voted for this mess enjoy their time off with less pay and no benefits. I suppose their next goal will be to take a holiday for the month of August...viva la France.

A few days ago my son-in-law was telling me Fox News Channel was not fair and balanced because Sean Hannity said....so and so. I reminded him there is a difference between news and commentary. I asked if he ever watched The Ed Show, Chris Matthews, or anything on MSNBC. He said he never watched the news. So there you are my friends. He and my daughter are low information voters, voting for obama. They´re my family and I love them. I just don´t understand them.

I loved the election ad "Freedom to Succeed" by Thomas Peterffy, a succesful immigrant from behind the iron curtain. To bad Romney didn´t make this point! The rich will be poorer and the poor will be much poorer. Obama voters didn´t learn it the easy way now we all must learn it the hard way that Thomas Peterffy did.

The more you make, the more you pay, and the top 5% already pays 58.66% of the taxes collected on AGI. Source: http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html

For those of you who think that the moonbats are going to snap out of it, try listening to C-SPAN from 7 to 9 every morning. Just today, they were asking for callers to weigh in on whether" the states should get involved in the fiscal cliff solution" (the host´s wording). After 45 minutes of it, I gave up on the chance of just ONE caller having even a small grasp of how our constitution is supposed to work and the fact that those in the legislature actually represent the states. Many of them were for letting only the blue states participate in solving the ´physical cliff´ problem. One of my old buddies in FTR used to call it "The Nutball Hour" and for very good reason.

What effect does the increase in dividend and capital gains rate have on pensions? I know that it will affect me, as a person whose retirement is all personal investments. I don´t know the tax structure behind pensions but I doubt that pensions´ incomes in total will stay the same. Look out, retirees, they went after XOM profits which are a large part of pension investment...beware.

It´s the hard working and responsible people who are going to get the shaft. Maybe those people who voted for Obama will finally learn.

The majority of Obama voters truly believe that the rich just need to pay 3% more and all our problems are solved.
The GoP needs to let the Dems have those two top tiers, and let the Dems raise the Capital Gains and Dividend taxes.
It won´t produce the revenues the Dems claim, and we know it, but let them have it so they can stop using it as the excuse to bash Republicans leading up to 2014 elections.
Sure, the stock market will drop significantly as a result but elections have consequences.
GOP can then push hard on "we´ve followed this failed path which has affected state, county and city revenues, senior´s incomes and many retirements".

#6 I´m quite familiar with your state, because one of my closest friends is a life-long resident of the Boston area. My friend, whose childhood home was close to the JFK boyhood family home in Brookline, which I had the pleasure of visiting several years ago, was substantial yet not optulent - just a nice 3-story home.
At one time that all seemed so charming, but now I just shake my head at how all those supposedly smart, college-educated people could be so stupid.
Fortunately my friend is in the minority of people in Massachusetts who see through all the Democrat nonsense - like you #6 - otherwise my friend and I would not have remained close for forty years.

That´s rich...like the GOP pushed on Benghazi? Like they push on anything anymore? The GOP is NOT anyone´s savior, although it may be the only vehicle available. Its weak loyal opposition stances seem nothing more than the vacuum needed to suck up money from those willing to double down on a bunch that will not lead when it has the majority, and will not fight in the minority. As for the Tea Party...get rid of the Dick Armeys and take over the GOP starting at state level, or forever be played for suckers by that "If you´ll just send $10 today..." bunch, too.

If you live in a red state and deal with normal families working normal private sector jobs, you have no idea what we rebel conservative holdouts in hyper-blue states are suffering through. These people are so clueless, so smugly ignorant, and so pathologically hateful of sane, normal conservative people that it´s impossible to adequately describe our situation. It´s like a living hell. A 24x7 insane asylum and we´re the ones deemed insane.
Here in Mexifornia, for example, my casa is now indeed their casa. And my raza is now the wrong raza. And yes, after the third diversity training workshop, we now realize we Anglos had it coming for stealing their land (after they had stolen it from the Indians, but hey...).
My advice to you lucky red-staters is to put up razorwire around your borders and do NOT under any circumstances allow any blue-staters to enter. We know we´re doomed. You still have a chance.

The people that stand out in my life who voted for Zero are the takers of society in one form or another. I include labor members, and federal government workers, and those work with nonprofit social service agencies who depend on whatever they can get from taxpayers. I have several family members in those categories, some by marriage. I have also worked with some of the takers in society who I know would vote for Obamacare in a heartbeat thinking it would become their salvation. These people are in general poor health as a result of obesity, but want the rest of us to pay for their poor health choices. I so want to tell them that they will become the first to visit the death panels of Obamacare. Voting for Obama has definitely effected how I will interact with these people in the future. My thoughts about them are not favorable at this point. Fortunately, all in my immediate family made the right choice even if we lost.

There was a knee jerk column shortly after the election suggesting we give Obama and the libs everything they want, vote present, so the inevitable crash will come sooner and harder and conservatives will escape the blame. This will never happen! We will always have the blame until we get up the courage to make the argument. The GOP didn´t have the votes in the first two years to stop Obamacare. Obama got what he wanted and Bush is to blame for the bad economy! Does anyone really think Obama will take the blame for anything? A leader gives the credit and takes the responsibility. Obama takes the credit and shirks the responsibility.

The Catholic hierarchy did indeed advise voters strongly and repeatedly to vote for the party that supports moral principles in agreement with Church doctrine. They did not name names but made it quite clear which party was the party of nonegotiable Christian values and which was not. EWTN masses and programs all featured voting catechesis; in addition there were frequent public interest spots. Anyone who watches or listens to EWTN couldn´t miss it, but perhaps the message didn´t always filter down to the parishes, or perhaps some people just didn´t want to hear.

Had a conversation this past Fri.with 2 folks who stated: "we who graduated from the many excellent schools here in New England, have the responsibility to enlighten those who have not had that advantage and we seek to instill the "traditions" necessary to protecting the democracy. As for me, my response will be a curt, "Obama won."

The leftist mindset is a faith based on wishful thinking. Since reason isn´t used to accept it, reason cannot be used to reject it.

The problem with elections is that they allow too many stupid people to vote. The democrats can not face the fact that their "chosen one" is out to destroy this country.

There is a lot of stupidity, selfishness and shortsightedness that led people to vote for Obama. But the factor that I worried about and no one has mentioned is fear. The MSM successfully made people fear the GOP. They will stick with the sinking ship rather than swim to the GOP lifeboat! I imagine that is how FDR kept getting elected and I worry about the same effect now.

Sorry but these stupid, single issue moonbats are ECSTATIC! Single moms get welfare out the gazoo, gays get marriage, Hispanics get amnesty, Union gets card check, environmentalists get solar power and curbs on oil, liberals get more taxes to spend and the Al Sharptons of the world get whatever their little hearts demand.

You wish, Howie. Most of them will continue blaming GW & congress´s "partisan politics" until we elect a conservative in four years.
I pray enough wake up to turn the tide in the election, however. Even some in the AP may grow a conscience & actually inform "we the people" of the awful truth about this poser in our oval office. I have faith -- in God alone now.

#59, I know the kind of people you are talking about. They don´t all come from Ivy League schools but they still have that same attitude. I have a friend who I went to high school with who lives in Colorado now. He has several PhDs and writes books and such. I believe he is also a professor. But the point is he is one of those people who feels that people like him are charged with enlightening people who are not so highly educated. He always spouts the same lies & propaganda from the left as if it were fact--including lies about how "corrupt & evil" Romney was. He also thinks Canadian healthcare is wonderful. I give him credit though for actually listening to what I say & he´s even agreed with me at times (though I´m just a lowly MBA). Still he thinks Clinton was an economic genius...gag! No, most moonbats won´t ever admit their mistakes...they´ll always find a way to blame us for the world´s woes. Look how long they kept FDR in office despite the obvious economic mess that got progressively worse.

It happens now and then. You hear a story so sad, so beautiful, so filled with loss and pain and grief and love, that it makes you cry. Really cry. Two years ago, I was making a grocery run for my family on Memorial Day when a story came on the local NPR station in Oxford, Miss. It was about a father whose son had been killed in action in northwest Afghanistan. The father was Paul Monti; his son was Sergeant Jared Monti. Jared died in Afghanistan trying to save the life of one of his men.

The recent attack on a British soldier by assassins wielding meat cleavers while bystanders looked on raises the question: “Why didn’t anyone try to help the victim?” Because British citizens are prohibited from carrying objects that could be used as “offensive weapons.” While it is well known that Brits cannot carry guns, a lesser known law prohibits any subject of the Queen from carrying a knife of consequence, pepper spray or a stun gun.According to the United Kingdom government website, the online storehouse of British government regulations, it is illegal to:

DALLAS—It hasn´t been the best of years for Big Tex, the 52-foot-tall animatronic cowboy who has greeted visitors to the State Fair of Texas for decades. His mechanical hand, which waved from side to side as he bellowed "Hoooowdy folks," stopped working before the fair opened last September. His 60th birthday celebration, which was to include one of the country´s biggest marching bands, was rained out. Then catastrophe struck three days before the fair ended last October. After a suspected electrical short inside his size 70 cowboy boots, Mr. Tex went up in a burst of flames that devoured

What would help a lot right now, as the chilling reality of savagery engulfs us, would be a cultural green light to begin calling evil what it is, to begin calling it by its name, to stop dancing around demographics because of the fear someone, somewhere will take offense. There is always someone, somewhere looking for a reason to be offended. Jesse Jackson has fashioned a lucrative career out of being perpetually peeved. It works if you know how to play the game. And one of the reasons it works is that too many people who ought to know better allow themselves

The White House on Friday didn’t respond to a report that Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the seizure a Fox News reporter’s phone and email records — and with no daily press briefing scheduled Friday that could mean silence from the administration through the Memorial Day weekend. NBC News reported Thursday that Holder approved the search of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s private emails and phone records in a probe of leaked government information. That revelation came just as the president ordered Holder to review Justice Department guidelines for investigating reporters. White House officials have not yet responded

Can Obama Declare Peace?

President Obama’s speech at the National Defense University calling for an end to the war on terror forces the question of who gets to declare peace. The Left wing in our political debate has been agitating for some time to repeal the authorization to use military force that the Congress passed after 9/11. The President boarded the bandwagon yesterday. He vowed he would sign no laws designed to expand the mandate and declared outright that he looks forward “to engaging Congress and the American people in efforts to refine, and ultimately repeal” the congressional mandate to use force.

Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering personifies the State Department mentality that so many conservatives find objectionable. He authored a Global Zero report arguing for unilateral disarmament and then runs to his co-author Chuck Hagel’s defense, saying it doesn’t say what it plainly does. He gets selected for a critical State Department review of Benghazi, doesn’t interview the secretary or high-level advisers, and writes a report identifying no one in particular. He famously replied that it was fine to leave out higher-ups because “because in fact we knew where the responsibility rested.” In a milieu where double-talk, evasion

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling
