A chill should be running down the backs of Americans today with the revelation that three children from ethnic minority groups have been taken away from their foster parents because the couple support the anti-immigration UK Independence Party (UKIP). “The couple from Yorkshire in northern England said they had been fostering children for seven years but have been told by social workers that they were not suitable because of UKIP’s calls for curbs on immigration to Britain.” (The Daily Mail, Nov. 24, 2012). “That’s across the pond” and “It can’t happen here” no longer work in Obama’s America. Staff has split headline correctly.

FTA: "People who criticize US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice, who lied when she blamed the Benghazi attack on an obscure anti-Muslim YouTube, are dismissed as “racists”. (Snip) America’s Farage is the wobbly jelly spine Speaker of the House John Boehner, who, in post election America, has already caved to Obama’s tax hikes and grandly announced himself open to amnesty."
Again, another lady from the sometimes frozen North is able to clearly articulate the problems that we in the GOP need to be aware of and FIX. The solution is not to secede, as my adopted state of Texas claims it wants. The real test of our strength is not to run from our fears but to give it back to them in spades, especially when they dare to call US racist.

It is certain. Bureucracy is constantly looking for reasons it should grow both in size and power.
Parents traditionally have custody - a form of power - absent abuse. The bureaucrat will thus always try to widen the definition of abuse in order to take power away from parents and give it to the bureaucrats.
The prime directive: we decide all.

It takes a village to raise a child. In other words, the child´s parents are not sufficient. They can´t be trust to raise their children "correctly."

Chilling is right. Just saw a review of John Fonte´s Sovereignty or Submission: Will Americans Rule Themselves Or Be Ruled By Others?. This from Heritage Foundation: The global governance movement does not seek legitimacy in democracy, but rather in its own partisan interpretation of human rights. Globalists argue that the U.S. Constitution must conform to “evolving norms of international law.” While this idea may seem utopian, the efforts to implement it constitute a real threat to American democracy. The conflict between global governance and democratic sovereignty promises to be at the heart of world politics as far into the future as the eye can see.
Amen to your solution,#3. Ben Franklin´s response to the woman who asked at the close of the Constitutional Convention if we had a republic or a monarchy applies similarly today: “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

Do you ever wonder how Obama gets away with the most outrageous acts ever perpetrated by a sitting president with barely a nick to his reputation? Did you scratch your head when not a single Justice Department or ATF official went to jail for sending hundreds of guns over the border to Mexican drug lords with the expressed purpose of fomenting violent crime? Do you really think high ranking government officials are going to be held accountable for the now blazing IRS and Benghazi scandals? If these and other questions like them have been bothering you for the past few years,

It is now safe to say that if one cannot see the abject evil of the Obama administration as well as the endemic corruption and criminality in our federal government, it is only because they are refusing to look. Due to what some are calling a “perfect storm of circumstances, three scandals have rocked Washington, but these are only the grossest symptoms of the systemic infection that has been festering there for decades. Those such as myself who suspected on September 12, 2012 that the Obama administration’s narrative relative to the attack on the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya,

Armed by the arrogant confidence that comes via a protective circle of self-serving, back-scratching politicians (including Republican ones), who do nothing to deter his increasing taunts against all things American, President Barack Hussein Obama continues to publicly trash the cherished image of the military. The term Liberal Redneck will strike progressives as an absurd contradiction. Yet, Conservatives will have an immediate, wearying familiarity with the angry, judgmental, uninformed and doctrinaire viewpoint of this group. In fact, the Liberal Redneck is every bit as small-minded, bigoted, dismissive, self-righteous, judgmental, uneducated and intolerant as the worst fundamentalist. The problem in America today is that there is never a level playing field offered for the discussion of ideas. Therefore, most important topics are only mentioned in a predetermined format. In other words, one can mention, for example—gay marriage,

The deadly, almost under-cover assassin of conservatism in America is not the Fundamental Transformation of America-pushing Barack Obama and the Democrats but Karl Rove and his big-money financiers. Conservatism is the dead man walking in the politics of America today, and there’s no way to revive the corpse as long as Karl Rove is still at the GOP helm. From the Truth-is-stranger-than-Fiction department: A brilliant May 8 piece in the New York Times by Thomas B. We’re rapidly approaching a potential checkmate moment in the Mideast. There are 41 nations plus the U.S., for a total of 42 nations currently participating in military maneuvers off the coast of Iran. Despite all of the saber rattling about Iran, we are being deceived about the coming global battle, which will almost certainly begin in Syria, not Iran. What we are seeing is both deadly serious and under-appreciated by most Westerners, who have grown weary of wars and rumors of wars in the Mideast long ago. The mainstream media no longer has the luxury of ignoring Benghazi. Nor can they brush it off as another Watergate type of scandal: nobody died by drowning or other means at Watergate. The emergence of the whistle blowers has made the story too big to ignore, as much as the media would prefer it would go away. You will note that when it wasn’t until after their beloved Obama was safely ensconced in the White House for another four years did the media show any interest in the biggest story of the administration.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Washington – Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, issued a video statement Friday in response to reports that the Internal Revenue Service unfairly targeted conservative nonprofit groups. (Snip) “There’s a reason Lady Justice wears a blindfold in America. That is because in America, we don’t apply the law based on who you are, who you know, or what you believe. We apply the law equally.” “We should not only fire the head of the IRS, which has occurred, but we’ve got to go down the line and find every single person who had anything to do with this and make sure

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part
