| True, a two-year long national election campaign is a tough act for Sunday shows to follow. (It´s also way too long a campaign, but that´s another story.) The big names are -- wait for it -- John McCain and Lindsey Graham. You haven't seen them on your screen for several minutes now. Oh, also Mr. Excitement, Dick Durbin of Illinois, Harry Reid's helper in the Democrat Senate. Graham and Durbin are on This Week along with Ben Affleck, the actor who's got another celebrity campaign going to fix Africa. McCain is on Fox News Sunday along with Matthew Shay, who heads the National Retail Federation,

The left has found a new way to ambush republicans, just ask them something about creationism or how long the earth has been around.
Or are you all thinking about following Chambliss off the no tax pledge cliff?Does Grover Norquist have too much say so in your party? Isn´t Grover stopping bipartisanship the president called for?
Who´s idea was it to come up with incompetent as a new racist dog whistle?

So Rubio not even letting the dust settle before going to Iowa is the most opportunistic and tired bottom hurting thing ever. Give us a rest, guys and make yourselves known serving us and the US and not yourselves by getting up passion for the midterms but give us until after Christmas.
I do not like Rubio at all for this move. He did not deliver Florida for the GOP but expects the GOP to deliver amnesty? Go way Rubio IMO.
Who is leaking Romney´s conference calls? Has any former candidate been so pursued? And is it to weaken Ryan by association?
In the general we had to say the Romney/Ryan campaign as the excitement was their for Ryan. Now the loss is Romney only and that is good because of Ryan. After the GOP primary of this year and the class warfare thing of old pol, Newt, and his conservative coalition idea (projecting the gangs tactic against Romney in 2008 IMO)and Sarah Palin wanting the thrashing and money spending to go right up to election time we ought to learn something such as get the guy or gal pickede well in advance but not starting now, Rubio, I´m tired. Two years from now Christie may not be doing photo ops with the Prez. LOL.
But for now, maybe we can judge by who does the most to get more GOP senators and congresspersons in the red states.

Unlike every other democracy in the world, America´s political system does not provide for permanent opposition parties.
Therefore, today´s out-of-power Republicans do not have a shadow prime minister and shadow cabinet members chosen by the party´s leaders to speak on behalf of Republican principles as they affect day-to-day issues.
Instead, Republican spokespersons are chosen by the anti-Republican MSM when they invite various Republicans to speak on their Sunday talk shows. And once again, as they have for the past four years, the MSM has chosen to give the leading Republicans In Name Only, John McCain and Lindsay Graham, the right to speak on behalf of genuine Republicans. It´s going to be another long four years.

Ask McCain if he can imagine a scenario where an unvetted president could be working a coup so smooth that he could be bankrupting our country with overspending and overborrowing, and at the same time be destabilizing the Middle East so as to force Israel and the world into a nuclear World War III. If McCain can imagine it, ask him what it that might look like to him.

Ask McCain if he still believes we have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.

McCain again being feted as if he speaks for me. I do not learn one thing when he is interviewed. The Sunday shows are beginning to seem very very stale. FOX NEWS SUNDAY included.

Let´s talk politics for a few minutes. As in winning the White House after two dismal showings by the Republican Party. The Chicago Democrat, who still sneaks smokes when no one´s looking, is president again in large part thanks to Republican errors. But in 2016, Democrats will nominate the tired old face of Hillary Clinton. [Snip] And Washington Republicans are doing just about everything they possibly can right now to ensure that Bill Clinton, the impeached Philanderer-in-Chief, will become the nation´s first First Man.

It´s great, isn´t it, to see Barack Obama, the ex-state senator, getting along so well with Vladimir Putin, the former Russian KGB chief? Things must be hunky-dory between the world´s top two nuclear powers, just as Obama promised during his secret whispers in Seoul last year. Why wouldn´t the two be smiling for the cameras? The obedient media is serving up the official Pablum it’s fed. [Snip] And Michelle Obama is touristing in Dublin with her daughters. Never mind sequester, all three get suites with Mrs. Obama´s costing American taxpayers $3,300 per night.

Fallon: Last week Obama asked China´s president to stop spying on Americans. And the Chinese leader responded, "You first." Conan: Everyone please turn off your phones. I’ve got some jokes I don’t want the government to hear. Leno: Eliot Spitzer and John Edwards both have birthdays the other day. Which explains why no strippers were available for other parties. Fallon: Hillary Clinton finally joined Twitter and got more than 200,000 followers in five hours. They were like, “Hillary in 2016!” and “Washington needs Hillary!” “Hillary for the White House!” That´s not her followers. Those were her tweets.

Hi, everybody. This Sunday is Father’s Day, and so I wanted to take a moment to talk about the most important job many of us will ever have — and that’s being a dad. Today we’re blessed to live in a world where technology allows us to connect instantly with just about anyone on the planet. But no matter how advanced we get, there will never be a substitute for the love and support and, most importantly, the presence of a parent in a child’s life. And in many ways, that’s uniquely true for fathers.

Sen. Lamar Alexander gives the Republican Party Weekly Remarks I’m United States Senator Lamar Alexander. This is the season for high school graduations. And more than two million of those graduating are going to college. Both Republicans and Democrats agree that college is the surest ticket to the middle class and we want to help by making it simpler and smarter to get a student loan. [Snip] But we have a major disagreement about who should be in charge of our 100,000 public schools that educate 50 million American children. To put it simply, Democrats want a national school board; Republicans favor local control.

An amazing scene in Boston yesterday. Barack Obama returned to the city of one of his biggest triumphs (his 2004 Democrat convention speech) and one of his worst political spankings (the 2010 repudiation by Massachusetts Senate voters of his candidate). Those were tough days for the ex-state legislator, you may recall. Virginia voters had just rejected Obama´s choice for governor. New Jersey voters had just rejected Obama´s choice for governor. [Snip] And now here’s Obama trying to salvage another race with hypocrisy.

Once upon a time Barack Obama was known as a good speech-giver. That´s how he debuted in 2004 and why he almost always relies on a teleprompter; so he can concentrate on delivery, not content. Does he even know how often rote he sounds? Watch him on these day-trip photo ops. He´s a tired actor in a long-running Broadway play, reciting the same lines over and over with less and less conviction. For the summit with China´s new president, America´s first lady didn´t bother to go. [Snip] Turns out, Obama might sound good. But he´s actually an awful communicator.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
