The problem is that the GOP caves in with the Dems all the time. Since they can´t stand their grounds, they won´t be a Majority Party anytime soon or ever.

Some of those shrilling for universal heath care with a substantial income from either one of two contributing were actually believing they would get FREE heath care and be able to eliminate health care from their personal budget. Some of these bragged about their college degrees. Like Gen. Honoree said, "Stuck on Stupid".

Let the Dims loose on the American public. They voted for it and they deserve it.

The only difference between the Republican Party and the Democrats is that when the Republicans run the country the decline is a steep downward slope.

When Democrats are in control the country is in free fall.

#5, I respect president george w. bush alot, and believe the historians, a few decades out, will rate him highly.
But he did spend too much money, with no child left behind, and with rx coverage in medicare. both of those were passed with the best of intentions. Neither should have been passed in the form each took.
But 9/11/01 put incredible burdens on the president, who had to put protecting Americans at the top of his ´to do´ list. And in the process of protecting us, spending went kind of crazy. But he protected us.

The more ObamaCare fails, the more Obama and Dems will blame the health care insurers, physicians and employers who provide coverage for their employees. Assuming that Obama does not ignore Constitution, he will have Michelle run in order to complete his illusionary plan to provide every American coverage, "We can´t let the wealthy get the good care. We gotta make sure that the poor black kid in Harlem gets the same care as those fat cats on Wall Street." He & she will call for nationalizing health insurers and putting all doctors in federal civil service. The two grifters will advocate making things worse in order to presumably make it better.

In 2015-16, Michelle and Hillary will be locked in a vicious Democratic primary battle centered on who can best provide nationalized health, dental and long-term care. The GOP will hopefully have a candidate who can counter this madness, but at the moment, I do not know who.

The "Takers" won´t even notice if 800,000 workers get laid off. The "Takers" will still get all their Freebies. It won´t affect their lifestyle at all. Until the Free Phones, Food Stamps, Rent Subsidies, Free heat, and whatever else the government is giving out these days, stops...and we all know that won´t happen because Democrats do not want to upset their BASE...UNTIL it stops...nothing will upset the "Takers". They are growing by the day and by 2016, they will once again grow in numbers and they WILL VOTE to protect their FREEBIES! I don´t see how Republicans will EVER be able to fight their way back to being the Majority unless they come up with Bus loads of Illegals from some foreign country who would agree to vote Republican on election day because we provided them each with a $100 Bill after they vote!

The reason liberalism has continued so long in this country is they more or less left the golden goose alone while they found ways to nickle and dime it while thriving themselves. Then along comes Obama intent on destroying the golden goose,blowing $800 billion in stimulus and passing health that will cost $500 billion a year in totality with no way to pay for it.

People have conditioned themselves to survive without a job the past 4 years which is incredible in itself. I can´t think of a way to survive without a job,what´s the secret?

Obamacare is a disincentive to work if you can get free healthcare while doing nothing.If you file taxes,you´ll be paying a fine or premium you can´t afford. This means people will stop filing tax returns.If you have a $600 refund coming and the fine is $1200,then why file and fork out an additional $600?

They may get their majority. What will they do with it? If the past is any indication (and it always is), they will do nothing useful with it. They will appease their good friends across the aisle, they will shudder in fear at threatened but never carried out filibusters, and they will continue our decline.

If this happens, how does this part of Obamacare pertain? Are we to assume those poor Congressman are not wealthy? If they weren´t when they got to Washington I would imagine most of them are by the time they leave, that is if they ever do leave. Then they can become a lobbyist.......!!!

If Obama and the Democrats thought ObamaCare would benefit the economy and make everyone happy, they wouldn´t have postponed its implementation until after the 2012 election.

And if they had thought raising taxes on the rich would also help the economy, they could have done so when the Democrats had a majority in Congress during Obama´s first two years in office.

So it isn´t only Republicans who believe ObamaCare and the repeal of the Bush tax cuts will hurt the economy, the Democrats have shown that they believe it, too.

In order to win the presidency and then re-election, Obama had to energize the Democrats´ liberal base with promises of free universal health care, etc., while stirring up class-warfare anger with promises of taxing the rich.

That´s why ObamaCare and the repeal of the Bush tax cuts will soon be upon us -- NOT because Obama and the Democrats thought they would be good for the country.

The GOP fools itself if it believes people will turn back to them just because of problems with Obamacare. Those who voted for Obama want to see some sort of coverage for those who can´t afford any type of insurance and those who have pre-existing conditions and have thus been forced out of the insurance market.

Medical pricing is horribly distorted by the current medical insurance system in the US. Those with good insurance get discount pricing because the insurance companies have negotiated large-scale discounts. The most expensive medical care is reserved for those who have no choice but to pay 100% out-of-pocket without access to those discounts. That causes people to avoid medical services until the situation is dire, at which time ER´s and hospitals are forced to care for much sicker individuals.

Thanks to obamacare I will be losing my health insurance on Jan, 1. My premiums were to double which would have been a third of my salary. One third going to taxes and another third going to taxes doesn´t leave much when you really don´t have a big paycheck to begin with. No raises for the past two years and probably none in the future.

The people that voted for Obama DON´T WANT JOBS. They want free stuff from the government because the world owes them.

No amount of job loss will do any good. I repeat, they don´t want jobs. They want to live in the projects having baby after baby and getting Obamaphones and groceries and healthcare from Uncle Sam OR living in their boomer parent´s basement forever playing games and watching TV and having mommy and daddy buy them everything from underwear to iPhones. They have no motivation, no incentive, no need to improve, no nothing. They are a generation of perpetual adolescent nothings hell bent on staying nothing and they see nothing wrong with being nothing. THESE nothings are the empty suit´s constituency and he is more than happy to drain us all dry to support these nothings for their votes until they and we die.

Unless the current GOP cleans up or is forced to do so, I am not interested in it becoming the majority party anymore. the #1 clean up issue is to get leadership that is totally loyal to the Constitution and is in resonance with the conservative grassroots and their ideology. The majority of the people out there who re-elected Obama believe that he is going to provide them with "free" health care and a lot of other taxpayer provided benefits and services.

As long as Obama tells them that he is doing "the best that he can" in the face of Republican intransigence, those people will come out again and vote for an Obama clone, or whoever Obama directs them to vote for in 2014-2016.

If these masses wanted more and more babies we wouldn´t be facing free abortions for all and more for the 47.5%.

Anyway, the point is that Obamacare was never meant to be a permanent system -- it is a segue to single-payer. The plan was always for a huge part of the population to pay nothing for "free" health care. For the remainder who pay taxes, a sizable percentage are poised to be dropped from their employers´ coverage. That will throw more people into the exchange system, thereby overwhelming it. Its pure Cloward-Pliven. With less employer-participation, independent employer health insurance systems will not be able to survive. As more people get thrown into the exchanges, the exchange system cannot provide the necessary volume of care. Before you know it, the only remedy is for single-payer. Mission accomplished.

The Congress has already foreseen this and made sure that they will never need to compete with the masses for their healthcare. The Congress also made exempt all federal judges and the upper echelon of the Executive branch.

Some words and phrases can best be defined by giving an example. The Yiddish word chutzpah is one -- what the Congress did in exempting itself and other blessed ones is the definition of "insult to injury."

That is a question I have been asking too #22. Why did Congress exempt itself an all federal workers from Ocare? How is that equal protection under the 14th Amendment? Also, I believe one day when the full effects of Ocare begin to show themselves, a case can be made that Ocare is unconstitutional under the 8th Amendment`s `cruel and unusual punishment` clause.

Need we remind ourselves that Republican nominee this year promised to keep key parts of Obamacare intact, including the individual mandate and the prohibition of pre-existing condition denials? Or that his political career embraced big govt policies including massive bailouts and gun control?

For obvious copyright reasons I have to summarize what I read today in a forum which is basically run and populated by a number of Duke University faculty and staff who live in a neighborhood not far from the school.

One said Blue Cross/Blue Shield is about to raise their rates by 30%. Wanted to know if anyone in the group knew of an alternative with cheaper rates.

Another one basically said ditto and that those with BC/BS would have an expensive year until things change in 2014 when AFCA takes effect.

Seems they´re under the impression that Obamacare is going to be "free"or at least less expensive than BC/BS. These are definitely the well-paid liberal elites we know and loathe so well. If they all think this way--and I believe they do--then they´re in for a huge surprise. I don´t see them voting for anyone but another Democrat, though. They´re hard-core.
