| When I first saw the headline, "The GOP’s bizarre attack on Susan Rice," I assumed the link would take me to one of the many left-wing columnists employed by the Post. Nope. This is a full-blown Washington Post editorial (and a despicable piece of McCarthyist race-baiting) -- the kind you would never expect from the same outlet that so doggedly pursued the Nixon administration´s Watergate cover up: Drawn up by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), the letter [from 97 House Republicans challenging any potential nomination of Susan Rice to Secretary of State] alleges that “Ambassador Rice is widely viewed

Comments: This obfuscation of the facts that we see Rice other than dangerous twit is tedious. Let her get nominated and then find out what she knew about Benghazi, and when. Then stop her rise to more power.

The bizarre thing is the shameless attempt to deflect legitimate criticism of a public official who provided misleading information to the public. Nothing is beneath Leftist partisans: character assassination, spurious charges of racism, sexism, anything that might serve to obscure the real issue, which is why Susan Rice repeatedly misinformed the American people about Benghazi. And not only Susan Rice. President Obama and Hillary Clinton immediately began proclaiming that the attacks were unorganized spontaneous responses to an anti-Islam apology for which they apologized repeatedly. They did not advance these claims as hypothetical or tentative. They asserted them confidently and dogmatically within hours of the attacks, quite possibly while the Benghazi attack was still under way.
This administration and its media apologists are good examples of bad examples. They never fail to amaze. Sometimes one wonders how they are able to keep a straight face with their lies and incredible excuses and evasions.
These are the people the American voters in their wisdom have seen fit to return to power for another four years. It is said that one cannot fix stupid, but that is only occasionally so. After a few more years of Obama some of the less stupid in the electorate and the media will be begging for a change of administration. Too bad they have to learn what is obvious to the rest of us the hard way. Too bad we have to suffer the consequences of their folly along with them. But I have hopes that enough of them will finally learn to ensure a better choice in 2016 - assuming something that is being kept hidden about Obama does not come to light before then and shorten his presidency.

If the GOP would fight for their beliefs as hard as the Dems do they might garner a little more respect from the general public. Even when the Dems are caught lying they fight to the death defending themselves, unlike the GOP, who fold at the slightest hint of embarrassment.

When a black liar cannot be defended with facts then claim racism. It seems to happen all the time with this administration. Is there anyone in this administration from the president down that doesn´t lie???
Well there is the vice president ... no one says it´s racism when he is criticized for being stupid.

I don´t know whether the country can afford both a president and a secretary of state who are both too delicate to be questioned. Meanwhile they sling drones this way and that, try to distract us from asking questions about the disgraceful death of our ambassador consequent on their mistakes by blaming us and calling us names (an abuser´s tactic btw, which no one has mentioned). They can´t take it apparently but they can sure dish it out.

Because of overuse and misuse, the terms, racism and racist are now like wet cardboard boxes. Smarter leftist hipsters have come up with the new label, "haters" to replace the R words. But that doesn´t stop dullards in the news business from continuing to use the old toothless slanders out of pure habit.
Maybe it´s time to coin some terms of our own like, conservative competency, conservative honesty, conservative patriotism. Then start labeling lies, incompetence, lack of values, and anti Americanism as generic liberalism.

By the way, "Black Friday" is racist. There is an implication that getting stuff cheap is black. But these are liberals we are describing here. For a liberal, the best defense is to throw mud. So the mud-slinging continues. What we really need here is for the Zero administration to take a hint from Morsi and declare the entire administration off-limits from any criticism whatever.
There.
Done.

Washington - A key committee in the Republican-led House has taken up a tough enforcement-focused immigration bill, but the proceedings were immediately interrupted by protesters shouting "Shame, shame!" More than a dozen protesters began chanting as soon as Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte of Virginia gaveled the committee hearing open Tuesday. Goodlatte stopped the proceedings until the protesters were ushered into the hall, where their shouts could still be heard. Goodlatte said the bill under consideration, which empowers local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration

It’s been two years since NASA’s space shuttle program came to an end, but thousands of Americans still dream of becoming astronauts. Eight of them – four men and four women – were introduced Monday as NASA’s astronaut candidate class for 2013. (Snip) The bios of the eight people selected will probably make you feel like a bit of a slacker. Two of them have PhDs and one is a physician training in sports medicine. Four have experience as test pilots for the Navy or Air Force. One person is working at the Pentagon on ways to defeat the homemade bombs that have plagued troops in Iraq and

Washington - After Republicans lost the presidential election and seats in both the House and the Senate last year, many in the party offered a stern admonishment: If we want to broaden our appeal, steer clear of divisive social and cultural issues. Yet after the high-profile murder trial of an abortion doctor in Philadelphia this spring, many Republicans in Washington and in state capitals across the country seem eager to reopen the emotional fight over a woman’s right to end a pregnancy. (Snip) The bill stands no chance of becoming law, with Democrats in control of the Senate and the White House.

Tehran - President-elect Hassan Rowhani of Iran, speaking Monday for the first time since his election victory, said he wanted to reduce tensions with the United States but ruled out direct talks between the two estranged nations. In his first news conference after winning Friday’s presidential election promising more freedoms and better relations with the outside world, Mr. Rowhani called the issue of nonexistent relations between Iran and the United States “an old wound, which must be healed.” Iran, he said, wants to reduce tensions between the two countries, which have no diplomatic relations and are

Washington - Pharmaceutical companies that pay rivals to keep less-expensive generic versions of best-selling drugs off the market can expect greater federal scrutiny after a Supreme Court ruling on Monday. In a 5-to-3 vote, the justices effectively said that the Federal Trade Commission can sue pharmaceutical companies for potential antitrust violations, a decision that is likely to increase the number of generic drugs in the marketplace and benefit consumers. Specifically, the justices threw out lower-court rulings that said the agreements were legal, provided that a deal did not keep a generic

President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, put their escalating differences over Syria on display even as they agreed to urge both sides in the civil war there to the negotiating table. (Snip) “We do have differing perspectives,” Obama said, while adding that “we share an interest in reducing the violence.” Some Western leaders publicly rebuked Putin for his support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as the Group of Eight summit of industrial nations began. Washington - Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who exposed the U.S. government´s top-secret surveillance programs, fought back against his critics on Monday and denied allegations that he was a spy for China. Snowden told an online forum run by Britain´s Guardian newspaper that he revealed the programs in part out of disappointment with President Barack Obama, who he said had expanded "abusive" government programs while in office. (Snip) "I have had no contact with the Chinese government," said Snowden, who has vowed to stay in the Chinese-run former

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
