The controversial Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who helped scuttle John Kerry’s 2004 White House bid, are ready to launch torpedoes if the Bay State senator is nominated to a Cabinet post in the Obama administration, with one foe calling the whole idea an “abomination.” “We’re not too old to fight,” said Alvin Horne, a Vietnam veteran and a key member of the Swift Boat group, whose barrage of attack ads sought to discredit Kerry’s military record during the 2004 campaign. “If the commonwealth wants to send Bozo the Clown to (the) Senate they can do it Link repaired by staff

Here is a dose of reality for you people. Harry Reid has already said that the 60 vote rule in the senate to override a veto is being changed. (I would guess he will reduce it to 51 - in a move that he and other democrats were critical of, calling it the nuclear option.) I also believe the informal rule of allowing any senator to put a hold on a nomination will also disappear. That means President Zero will be able to nominate Jon Cary on a monday, and by the next monday, cary will be secretary of defense. The same thing will happen with judicial appointees. Get ready for it. We are doomed.

I´m opposed to ex-military people being put in charge of the Pentagon to begin with,it´s clearly supposed to be a civilian position. But on top of that you can´t have a rabidly anti-war person being in charge of the military,it would cloud the judgment of when we need to intervene.

JOOO-OOhhhhhnnn "Moron" Kerry thinks the US Army was a ´monster´ that was unleashed during the Vietnam War. The names of 50,000 members of that ´monster´ are inscribed on the Vietnam Wall in Washington, DC. They died because America sent them to fight. They obeyed and gave everything.

John Fraud Kerreee ought to have gone to Leavenworth in 1971 for what he did in Paris. But our Republicans then had no more cajones to start that up than they do now.
And, he ought to STILL BE in prison.
We have been invaded from within. And with his nomination as SecDef, our bravest and best will likely leave their respective forces, and poseurs will be brought in to take their places. We will then have been effectively conquered from within.
I know my son won´t stay. He´s already looking elsewhere.

As of 2011, the black Viet Nam Wall has 58,272 names, unless more have been added during 2012.
Barry and most of the Dem Senators don´t care about the outrage Juan Fraud Cary´s nomination would invoke. They won. I´m sure they feel that the new, young voters don´t care about Viet Nam history - they care more about Sandra Fluke´s ability to have her birth control for free. Heck, these new, young voters don´t care about why the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been fought.
If another 9/11 on our soil happens during Obozo´s reign, he´ll probably surrender our country to whomever hits us. There won´t be any retaliation a la George W. Bush. Patriotism is almost a thing of the past, no matter how red the electoral map looks.

Benedict Arnold is the perfect example of the peril of giving a prima donna authority for any military matter. He felt slighted after the battle of Saratoga, he thought he should be further up the ladder of command, and because of a personal pique and desire for revenge he sold out his country and those men under his command.
Think about it. How many connections can you see with BHO?

The Swifties are certainly not “controversial” with me. I cheered when they threw Kerry overboard, and look forward to them doing it again.
But . . .there’s a lot of talk in MA that Kerry being given a DC job is a great opportunity for Scott Brown to run again. I don’t think it’s worth his time or trouble. The chances of the MA Democrats not being able to create out of whole cloth another dipstick Dem candidate like Elizabeth Warren is 0 to none. MA Democrats would vote for the dog on Romney’s car roof if they were told to. Cripes, they would send anybody in the MA legislatures in a heart beat. Coup Deval is panting to relocate. Or Mumbles Menino can be shipped to DC, still in his hospital bed. Maybe they would get Fidel Castro to establish a two week residency here and run a campaign all in Spanish. The Dems are not going to let Scott Brown win.

Right before the end of the 2004 election, it was rumored that a defense dept type was going to reveal this traitor´s discharge status. I kept waiting, but then it didn´t matter--whatever happened with that? Also, the lsm is constantly referring to "swiftboat lies". Expect to hear requests for the SF 198. It was promised but never signed. This would allow a peep into John F´n Kerry´s actual (rather than fictional) service record. How do you get a Silver Star, with V for valor, issued by three different signers, for killing an unarmed teenage kid by shooting him in the back? How do you negotiate with an enemy and escape punishment? Oh, there are so many questions! And so little time!

President Obama is facing a perfect storm of scandals, cover-ups and criminality that threatens to sweep him from power. This week marks the 40th anniversary of the first Watergate hearings. They eventually brought down President Nixon, forcing him to resign. Mr. Obama is the liberal Nixon — a corrupt chief executive, who is presiding over a lawless administration. Like Tricky Dick, the Obama administration has an “enemies list.” The Internal Revenue Service has admitted that its agents deliberately targeted conservative, Tea Party, evangelical and pro-Israel Jewish groups, denying or blocking their requests for tax-exempt status.

WASHINGTON — In one way, President Obama’s young age is a liability: He’ll likely live long enough to see how poorly history judges his presidency. It’s legacy-building time at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, and things aren’t looking good for 44. Though folks in the White House are quick to blame Republicans for ensuring that Obama’s place in future presidential rankings falls somewhere near Jimmy Carter’s, other people — including some Democrats in Washington — say the fault lies in large part with the president himself.

The father woke first, ears ringing. The last thing Donald Evans remembered was shouting to the pilot seated beside him -- "Pull up!" -- before the single-engine plane slammed into a low mountain 37 miles west of McGrath. One look told him that man was now dead. So was the woman sitting behind Evans, an admired school teacher named Julia Walker who lived in Anvik, the Yukon River village that Evans and his wife, both 32, had been flying to as they began their first year teaching in rural Alaska.

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep. Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.
