The secret emails that reveal

Secret internal emails reveal Osama bin Laden was washed, wrapped in a sheet and slid into the sea for his burial in accordance with Islamic burial tradition - and no sailors saw it. The heavily blacked out emails sent between U.S. military officers were obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and are the first public disclosure of government information about the al Qaida leader´s death. Bin Laden was killed on May 1, 2011, by a U.S. Navy SEAL team that attacked his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

I am not sure how much, if any of this to believe. This administration has long since lost the last vestiges of credibility for me. There may have been more dishonest ones, but I cannot think of them. It is, I suggest, a serious mistake to believe ANYTHING Obama or his representatives say about ANYTHING unless independent, truly reliable confirmation exists. Who really knows what happened to Bin Laden? The Islamic burial at sea has always sounded -pardon the pun- fishy to me. First you snuff the guy, and then you give him an Islamic funeral? I thought Bin Laden was one of that tiny minority of Muslims who do not understand their own religion and fail to realize it is a religion of peace. Who said he deserved an Islamic funeral? There is something weird about the whole thing.

O for the days when America had a Forth Estate press rather than a Fifth Column partisan propaganda machine!

Should have sewn his corpse inside the carcass of a pig. Now THAT would have been a good use for the ´Other White Meat´...

Considering the endless lies that spew out of the White House it is very possible Bin Laden is growing old and fat somewhere in a secret CIA lock-up. I believe nothing from my Government except my SS check, and that´s questionable.

They should have covered him in pork fat, dressed him up like a hooker, and then dropped his dead ass in the cesspool of a South Carolina Hog farm.

The disposal of the body reads like bad fiction. What are the odds that binladen was dead long before the raid, or that he is still alive, today?

I find the part where "no sailors saw it" to be unbelievable. When I was in the Navy, there were sailors everywhere on every ship. Even burials at sea were performed by sailors. Then, there´s the part about washing the trash before throwing it in the sea...

Let me write a short fiction story.

One day the government of a large country sent some of their very best fighting men to capture an enemy of that nation. The very good fighting men, concerned that this enemy would not be treated as an enemy, perhaps even be granted rights or accesses that might be harmful to the country they loved and served, killed the enemy instead. Either because it would be easy to prove that they had disregarded their orders, or because they were still concerned that even the body of this enemy would be used to harm their beloved country, they ´buried´ him at sea - with very few witnesses.

The leader of the country was very angry but knew that if he raised too much of a fuss questions might be asked, or worse, information might leak out. So he instead leaked some information of his own, causing the deaths of a number of these good fighting men. His need for retribution not sated, he went on to cast aspersions on many of them, destroying their careers and their ability to protect the country that they loved. He vowed not to stop until they were completely ruined and could never thwart his plans again.

The End

I hate to say this, but I am sure he was buried exactly as the description states. Either bHo or some upwardly-mobile Navy suit thought it up, and it was done. The Navy´s version of the Ft. Hood syndrome.

If it had been my call, I would have delegated it all to Gutfeld. I´m sure he would have come up with something tasteful, utilizing the steam catapult and one or two Phalanx systems.

#8 - you make the most important point.

And, we´ll never know if any of this ever really happened, or if it did, that it really resembles the story trotted out for consumption. Photoshopped Situation Room photo that was a bad job at that. Then, that helicopter of SEALS shot down not long after....who is telling the truth in ALL of this...?

But #1 - you absolutely take the prize with that one. I´m surprised that one didn´t float out in some commentary elsewhere. It was waiting to be said.....

A man was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery in a Friday shooting that left a 40-year-old man in the Brainerd neighborhood with six gunshot wounds. Deontae C. Jones, 18, was held on $1 million bail after appearing in Cook County bond court Sunday afternoon. Prosecutors said Jones approached a man who was outside his residence on the 9300 block of S. May St., checking to see if his recycling bin was full when Jones approached the man and fired at him. The victim began running away and fell to the ground, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Naheda

The first family attended Easter services Sunday at the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, a Northwest Washington congregation that welcomed the Obamas on the eve of the president’s first inauguration. The Obamas’ motorcade left the White House shortly before 10 a.m. (Snip) The motorcade pulled up to the church, about four miles away, just after 10. The first family arrived through a tented entrance and sat in the second pew in a mostly, but not completely filled church, joining an estimated 250 others. The president wore a light khaki suit. The first lady was wearing a cream dress and sweater. Daughters

CLEARWATER — In the mid-1970s, Wayne Phillips saw a television program telling the story of the Shroud of Turin, a centuries-old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. At first, he was miffed. Years of Catholic schooling — Jesuit High School in Tampa and Notre Dame University — and he had never known about this artifact? (He would later learn that it was a delicate subject at the Vatican.) A doctor, he has a curious mind. A mind shaped by logic and by science. But as a Catholic, he understands some beliefs are still a mystery. He

WASHINGTON — IT’S weird to be jealous of your car. But I am. Men look at my car with such naked lust, their eyes devouring the curves and chrome, that I often feel as though I’m intruding on an intimate moment. Women like it, too. They sometimes grin and give it a thumbs up as it growls by, and one girlfriend fondly refers to it as “the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Goddess car.” But the icon evokes a special feeling in men. It’s the Proustian madeleine of cars, stirring old dreams and new. Guys sometimes follow in the American beauty’s

California’s unemployment rate is rotten and holding steady. In March, according to the Los Angeles Times, the rate was 8.1%. In February, it was exactly the same. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the state only added 11,800 net new jobs in March, many of them in construction, government, education, and health services. The greatest gains were in professional and business services, with 3,100 new positions. But the jobs numbers in hospitality, manufacturing, and leisure dipped, and the biggest drop came in financial activities, as the slowing rate of mortgages forced banks to fire employees. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million.
