´We washed him, wrapped

The secret emails that reveal
how ´FedEx package´ Osama
bin Laden was buried

Secret internal emails reveal Osama bin Laden was washed, wrapped in a sheet and slid into the sea for his burial in accordance with Islamic burial tradition - and no sailors saw it. The heavily blacked out emails sent between U.S. military officers were obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and are the first public disclosure of government information about the al Qaida leader´s death. Bin Laden was killed on May 1, 2011, by a U.S. Navy SEAL team that attacked his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

I am not sure how much, if any of this to believe. This administration has long since lost the last vestiges of credibility for me. There may have been more dishonest ones, but I cannot think of them. It is, I suggest, a serious mistake to believe ANYTHING Obama or his representatives say about ANYTHING unless independent, truly reliable confirmation exists. Who really knows what happened to Bin Laden? The Islamic burial at sea has always sounded -pardon the pun- fishy to me. First you snuff the guy, and then you give him an Islamic funeral? I thought Bin Laden was one of that tiny minority of Muslims who do not understand their own religion and fail to realize it is a religion of peace. Who said he deserved an Islamic funeral? There is something weird about the whole thing.

O for the days when America had a Forth Estate press rather than a Fifth Column partisan propaganda machine!

Waste of a good sheet.

Should have sewn his corpse inside the carcass of a pig. Now THAT would have been a good use for the ´Other White Meat´...

Considering the endless lies that spew out of the White House it is very possible Bin Laden is growing old and fat somewhere in a secret CIA lock-up. I believe nothing from my Government except my SS check, and that´s questionable.

They should have covered him in pork fat, dressed him up like a hooker, and then dropped his dead ass in the cesspool of a South Carolina Hog farm.

The disposal of the body reads like bad fiction. What are the odds that binladen was dead long before the raid, or that he is still alive, today?

I find the part where "no sailors saw it" to be unbelievable. When I was in the Navy, there were sailors everywhere on every ship. Even burials at sea were performed by sailors. Then, there´s the part about washing the trash before throwing it in the sea...

Reply 15 - Posted by: dr.lakerman, 11/22/2012 6:49:55 PM     (No. 9029834)

I don´t care how much they washed his body - he remained a filthy islamofascist terrorist pig.

Let me write a short fiction story.

One day the government of a large country sent some of their very best fighting men to capture an enemy of that nation. The very good fighting men, concerned that this enemy would not be treated as an enemy, perhaps even be granted rights or accesses that might be harmful to the country they loved and served, killed the enemy instead. Either because it would be easy to prove that they had disregarded their orders, or because they were still concerned that even the body of this enemy would be used to harm their beloved country, they ´buried´ him at sea - with very few witnesses.

The leader of the country was very angry but knew that if he raised too much of a fuss questions might be asked, or worse, information might leak out. So he instead leaked some information of his own, causing the deaths of a number of these good fighting men. His need for retribution not sated, he went on to cast aspersions on many of them, destroying their careers and their ability to protect the country that they loved. He vowed not to stop until they were completely ruined and could never thwart his plans again.

The End

I hate to say this, but I am sure he was buried exactly as the description states. Either bHo or some upwardly-mobile Navy suit thought it up, and it was done. The Navy´s version of the Ft. Hood syndrome.

If it had been my call, I would have delegated it all to Gutfeld. I´m sure he would have come up with something tasteful, utilizing the steam catapult and one or two Phalanx systems.

#8 - you make the most important point.

And, we´ll never know if any of this ever really happened, or if it did, that it really resembles the story trotted out for consumption. Photoshopped Situation Room photo that was a bad job at that. Then, that helicopter of SEALS shot down not long after....who is telling the truth in ALL of this...?

But #1 - you absolutely take the prize with that one. I´m surprised that one didn´t float out in some commentary elsewhere. It was waiting to be said.....

No sailor saw it because it never happened. He is alive, living in the White House basement, and is Chief Assistant to the Assistant Chief of Muzlimb Outreach.

In a long-awaited speech at the National Defense University, Barack Obama claimed that the nature of international terror attacks threatening the United States has changed since Sept. 11, 2001, with ´no large-scale attacks´ on America occurring since then. But his definition of ´large-scale attacks,´ his speech made clear, doesn´t include the 2013 Boston Marathon attack that wounded hundreds, the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that injured dozens and killed four, and the 2009 attack at Fort Hood that killed 13 and injured 30. All those attacks had the potential to leave far more American bodies in their wake than they actually did.

Another major political speech, another Code Pink heckling. During President Obama‘s counterterrorism policy speech at National Defense University on Thursday afternoon, Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin interrupted when the topic turned to the closing of the military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. “I’m about to address it, ma’am,” Obama said as Benjamin went off about the hunger strike currently taking hold amongst Gitmo detainees. “Why don’t you sit down? But you’ve got to let me speak.” “You are commander-in-chief! You can close Gitmo today!”

WASHINGTON — President Obama on Thursday announced new restraints on targeted killings and narrowed the scope of the long struggle with terrorists as part of a transition to a day he envisions when the nation will no longer be on the war footing it has been on since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. In a widely anticipated speech at the National Defense University, Mr. Obama offered his most expansive defense of the drone war he has waged since taking office, but he signaled that he planned to wind down the strikes, which have stirred controversy

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus grew a bit testy during his Morning Joe appearance on Thursday as the other guests — John Heilemann in particular — challenged his assertions regarding the IRS scandal. Right from the start, Heilemann objected to Priebus inferring guilt from IRS official Lois Lerner‘s using her Fifth Amendment right. Lerner didn’t do herself any favors by choosing not to answer any questions at yesterday’s congressional hearing, Priebus argued — “which, whether you agree with it as a basis of law or not, implies there are some criminal aspects of this investigation.”

A new book out in Germany reveals how President Kennedy was a secret admirer of the Nazis. The news comes embarrassingly close to a visit being paid to Berlin next month by President Obama - one week before 50th anniversary commemorations of JFK´s memorable ´Ich bin ein Berliner´ speech pledging US solidarity with Europe during the Cold War. President Kennedy´s travelogues and letters chronicling his wanderings through Germany before WWII, when Adolf Hitler was in power, have been unearthed and show him generally in favour of the movement that was to plunge the world into the greatest war in history.

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
