In all of the discussions about Israel and Hamas, the media has been ignoring the 900-pound gorilla in the room -- Israel´s amazing new missile-defense system.

If the Hamas leaders, many of whom failed to survive last week´s war, had understood the effectiveness of Israel´s Iron Dome, would they have provoked Israel into retaliation by aiming hundreds of ineffective missiles at Tel Aviv? If the Japanese had understood the effectiveness of what would become America´s new weapon, the atomic bomb, would they have waged war against America?

The Japanese were at first in such denial about the power of the atomic bomb that they failed to surrender after Hiroshima, so it was necessary for the U.S. to also bomb Nagasaki before Japan understood that the Atomic Age had begun.

Hamas, Iran, Egypt, and Israel´s other enemies are still in denial that the Iron Dome Age has begun, led by Israel, which would prefer not to have to use its new weapon a second time, resulting in many more of its enemies´ deaths, before those enemies surrender and allow peace to come finally to the Middle East.
