| No one hands out medals to women like Holly Petraeus. But someone should. Instead, like a swift kick in Holly’s teeth, military groupie Jill Kelley received an actual medal last year from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who liked her lavish dinners. Today, as the Petraeus family gathers ’round the Thanksgiving table for the longest, most tense meal in the history of marriage (hide the knives), retired Gen. David Betray-us has a unique opportunity to realize how badly he mucked up. And I’m not talking about throwing away his career as CIA director in exchange

Man often thinks with his Johnson..and too often the moments of pleasure are not only fleeting but lead to a lifetime of regret.

Holly was awarded a $187,000 a year job by Obama, which should be more than enough. Position was created as part of Obama´s plan to keep the General Betrayus quiet while Iraq was lost, Afghanistan turned into a killing ground and al-Qaeda spread across ME and Africa.
Holly´s executive position, coupled with Obama´s prior knowledge that Petraeus was "close" to Paula B. before being named to CIA, was all that was needed to keep the money grubbing officer quiet.

What she is probably furious about is the good General ruining the family business. Goodbye cushy job for Holly, goodbye perks and status.

Good grief, Holly Petraeus is only 59. We´re not supposed to blame women when their longtime husbands stray, but women who are as smart as Holly is purported to be smart (how many women do you know who walk sans experience into a $187,000+ White House job?) usually care more about how they look.
Don´t mention Hillary. We know how that worked out for her. Big deal job; serially unfaithful husband.

#5 I think is right, and it is chilling. Everyday I pray that all the lies and deceit of this Fraud (Obama) and his cohorts are exposed. I pray for a man or woman who can lead with Truth and who will be immune to the slings and arrows he/she will receive in their effort to expose what has happened in the last four-to six years.
I really believe that the left kicked into high gear right after the 2004 re-election of George W. Bush. I still remember George Soros or one of his underlings remarking after that election regarding the Democrat Party "´Now it´s our party. We bought it, we own it.…´"
IMHO, I don´t see why Soros is walking around free. He should be behind bars - not because of his involvement in the Democrat Party politics as much as "Money Laundering, Bankruptcy Fraud, and Bid Rigging",(according to the a June 29, 2012 lawsuit against him and, sad-to-say, Donald Trump). See http://politicalvelcraft.org/2012/06/29/breaking-convicted-felon-george-soros-donald-trump.

#2 explains that Holly got her trinket, in cash. In her fake job doing nothing, which requires no product and no qualifications.
AFAIK she is still making that sacrifice for the nation. It beats Jills phoney medal.
Holly and her husband jumped into the Washington political snake pit gleefully and grabbed. I don´t care if they regret it now or come to regret it.

Holly became best pals with Jill Kelley, who took her shopping, entertained her family, and generally showed both Petraeuses a jolly good time.

Could we get back to Benghazi now ?

If there were an organized opposition to comprehensive immigration reform -- and there really isn´t, compared to the political/business/activist/lobbying complex in favor of it -- the opposition would pound daily on the key weakness at the heart of the Senate Gang of Eight bill. That weakness is simple. The bill proposes to legalize 11 million currently illegal immigrants before imposing greater border security and workplace enforcement. In that, the gang´s priorities are different from the American people´s. An opposition would remind the public of that, often. Many polls have shown that voters favor eventual legalization and a pathway to citizenship

President Obama called today for a renewed effort to close the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. But back in 2009, the White House dropped the ball on closing the controversial military prison by failing to come up with a plan in time, refusing to help House Democrats who were fighting for its closure, and then abandoning the plan altogether and blaming Republicans. In a speech at the National Defense University in Washington, Obama said his Jan. 21, 2009, executive order to close the prison was never implemented because House Republicans placed funding and legislative restrictions on moving

American tourists dining on a glacier in eastern Iceland found themselves floating away from shore on an iceberg earlier this week, an Icelandic newspaper reported. Four people were rescued from Fjallsárlón glacial lagoon. They had set up a table and chairs with plans for dinner when a gust of wind pushed the ice from the land. They were stranded about 30 feet from shore. One of the diners managed to jump to shore before the ice drifted too far and call for help. The tourists have not been identified, but a photo captured three of the diners

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. -- Dan Sligh and his wife were in their pickup truck on Interstate 5 heading to a camping trip when a bridge before them disappeared in a "big puff of dust." "I hit the brakes and we went off," Sligh told reporters from a hospital, adding he "saw the water approaching ... you hold on as tight as you can." Slight, his wife and another man in a different vehicle were dumped into the chilly waters of the Skagit River when the span collapsed Thursday evening. They were injured, but miraculously, authorities said it appeared nobody was killed

Walter Russell Mead outlines two possible futures for middle-class Americans: one where most of us lose “the race against the machine,”the other where smart government policies enable an eventual successful transition to an economy where IT and robots do a shockingly large percentage of the jobs humans do today — but the carbon-based life forms still have plenty of meaningful work to do. Mead calls that first scenario, “Bladerunner with food stamps.” Mead: It’s likely that an information age welfare state would consist of two components: straight out welfare and “social inclusion” payments for some,

Of all the excuses, explanations and alibis pouring forth in the saga of the IRS kneecapping of conservative groups during the victorious Obama 2012 campaign, the one that deserves attention is this from David Axelrod: "Part of being president is that there´s so much beneath you that you can´t know, because the government is so vast." This makes the federal government sound like the endless void in "Star Trek"—a place "where no man has gone before." Under Mr. Axelrod´s Spock-like logic, the federal government has become a Milky Way of incomprehensibility, and so it follows that the IRS scandal could have originated

The U.S. government admitted for the first time Wednesday that it intentionally droned American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki in Yemen in 2011, and that it unintentionally droned three other Americans, including al-Awlaki´s 16-year-old son. Attorney General Eric Holder admitted it in a letter to Congress, The New York Times´ Charlie Savage reports. The letter comes the day before President Obama gives a speech at the National Defense University that will justify the drone strikes carried out since he took office, plus "review our detention policy and efforts to close the detention facility at Guantánamo Bay;

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
