| Jesse Jackson Jr.’s resignation from the House could cost Illinois taxpayers more than $5.1 million, according to the state elections board. Jackson, Jr. offered his resignation today to House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. Jackson has been absent from the Capitol for months while undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder at the Mayo Clinic. In addition, his use of campaign funds is being investigated by federal authorities. Looking at two special House elections held in Illinois in recent years — those to replace GOP House speaker Denny Hastert and Democratic congressman Rahm Emanuel

He took his last several paychecks under fraudulent circumstances. That should be paidback, or seized if necessary.
Future benefits should be considered forfeit via that criminal fraud.
This isn´t complicated.
The "problem" is it requires people having the courage to do what´s right.

I seriously doubt that JJJ has clinical bipolar disorder. What he really has is entitlement dysfunction disorder. This is what you get when you see your entitlements falling off a cliff one by one.
This guy held a fundraiser to buy Obama´s old seat and raised a million bucks or there about. There´s no reason to have that pile of cash just sitting there when the ole homestead could use some fixing up. It doesn´t matter if he knew the law while doing this, his name and color would get him off the hook.
The problem is him having to give up easy money, alcohol, maybe drugs and don´t forget white women. That´s a lot to ask of anybody to give up.
Maybe the Mayo clinic has massage services now.

In a floor speech delivered in the US House early last year, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (I-IL), said we need to “add to” the Constitution these “new rights”, ones that he claims will create jobs and bring sweetness and light to every American…Right to a decent home; Right to medical care; Right to a decent education;Right of every student to an iPod and a laptop.
According to the “honorable” representative, the only thing that can “touch” the underprivileged and change their lives is the Constitution…if it can be “added to”. Check out http://charlestonteaparty.org/the-nut-doesnt-fall-far-from-the-tree/
Good riddance at any cost.

Getting rid of him for $5M is a bargain compared to the billions he´d vote to waste.
If you think about it by the pound, it´s a lot cheaper getting JJ jr out of the House than it is paying an exterminator to keep ants and spiders out of your kitchen.

On Sunday, President Barack Obama gave a commencement address at Morehouse College in Atlanta. “Keep setting an example for what it means to be a man,” he told the graduates. “Be the best husband to your wife, or boyfriend to your partner, or father to your children that you can be.” That’s what Obama said, according to the New York Times, USA Today, Politico, and dozens of other news organizations. But Obama never uttered those words. Here’s what he actually said: “Be the best husband to your wife, or your boyfriend, or your partner.” That’s not a small difference

Multitasking, job-hopping Chelsea Clinton has quietly taken on a big new job at New York University. The former first daughter has tackled what the school calls a “multifaith” role as co-founder and co-chair of its brand-new Of Many Institute. The program is described by the university as aiming to “develop multifaith dialogue and train multifaith leaders.” An NYU rep told us Clinton’s been involved with the institute “for some time,” but the school’s been keeping Clinton’s role incredibly quiet. There has never been a formal announcement nor a post on Clinton’s Facebook page.

An accused crack dealer is singing “Sweet Caroline” today. Former First Daughter Caroline Kennedy and her fellow jurors took just over an hour yesterday to acquit the Harlem man of charges that he sold four “nickel bag” crack rocks at $5 each to an undercover officer. Violent predicate felon Nelson Chatman, 31, smiled as the jury foreman rendered the verdict in the 2011 case after 75 minutes of deliberations. And Kennedy, 55, also smiled, slightly and politely, as jurors were individually asked by a clerk, “Is that your verdict?” “Yes,” Kennedy said when it was her turn,

In my experience, the term “BOLO” is a law enforcement term short for “be on the lookout” for criminals and suspects on the run. But for the Obama IRS, BOLO meant, literally, “be on the lookout” for citizen groups who might be opposed to the Obama agenda. First, we know that the “independent” IRS purposely stonewalled the approval of non-profit applications from “Tea Party” and other conservative groups that were seeking tax exempt status. As reported by CNN: Among the criteria used by IRS officials to flag applications was a "Be On the Look Out" list,

President Barack Obama is to deliver a statement at 10 a.m. EDT Tuesday on the tornadoes that swept through towns in Oklahoma and left at least 51 people dead. Mr. Obama will make the statement from the White House, according to a White House official. He will be briefed again Tuesday morning on the devastation by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and others, according to the official. The president Monday night signed a major disaster declaration for Oklahoma, which makes federal funding available to support those affected and to help with response efforts.

A major tea party group is planning protests at Internal Revenue Services nationwide Tuesday following revelations earlier this month that the tax agency had flagged organizations with the words "tea party" or "patriot" for additional scrutiny. The protests were originally scheduled only for Cincinnati, where the IRS has said employees responsible for the targeting were based. But Tea Party Patriots head Jenny Beth Martin tells Whispers she received requests to protest across the country. A call to action on the group´s web site tells supporters that "the IRS is out of control" and so

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

So actually asked CNN´s Candy Crowley of her guest Sen. A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
