Republicans attack Rice, not race
Washington Times, by David Sherfinski

Republicans shot down Democratic charges that ongoing criticism of U.N. Ambassador Susan E. Rice is couched in racism or sexism, and pressed President Obama for more answers on the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Libya, as partisan battle lines hardened Wednesday over the incident and its aftermath. Some Democrats have hinted that the intense criticism of Mrs. Rice has to do with her race and her gender, but Sen. Lindsey Graham dismissed that argument. “The only color I’m worried about when it comes to Benghazi is red — blood red — the death of four Americans,”

We need the dimocrats to declare if Rice was lying or if she was just purely incompetent -- there is no third choice. Once we establish that, then we´ll have clarity on what the recriminations are based upon.

No one is "attacking" Rice; they are simply holding her accountable for her horrid lies she told at 0bama;s bidding. Four Brave Americans Died, and Rice and 0bama Lied.

I don´t even know what race Rice is, but if she went on 5 Sunday talk shows and lied, she is disqualifed and if she went on 5 Sunday talk shows and repeated others´ lies, then she is unqualified.

There should be a term for that. Whoever plays the race card or the gender card when they are losing an argument is a ... oh right, I remember... LOSER!

The charge that John McCain is a racist was issued by the Congressional Black Caucus, a group that openly excludes white and Hispanic representatives. Why are statements from the CBC taken seriously?

If non-black and non-Hispanic representatives formed the Congressional White Caucus, news services would do their best to avoid reporting on the CWC´s press comferences. Any reporting of the CWC would be heavily laced with terms like "controversial, divisive, inflammatory, hateful and/or fringe element". Yet the CBC can toss the destructive term "racist" at senators without loss of news media coverage or criticism.

If this was so innocent a statement that she made on 9/16 on five Sunday shows, then why did it take over two months to defend the statement and why did she have to read from talking points to defend herself? And why lie when anyone can go back and see exactly what she said in her own words? Ms. Rice, you certainly didn´t say that it was the best info we had at the time. You insisted it was the scenario that the embassy was attacked by a spontaneous mob over a video!

This race baiting was nothing but deflection from the real issue of Benghazi

First of all it wasn´t the UN ambassador´s job to talk about this. Someone from intelligence, the military or state dept. should have.My guess is nobody from these other depts. wanted to go on national TV and tell such a blatant lie. Obama set her up for this by saying it would raise her profile for the SoS job.But she was more than willing to be a dupe for Obama.

Rice looks a lot more compatible for Obama than the first battleaxe. My guess is there´s a lot on internal jealousy floating around the WH and power struggles.

This racism charge is pure projection. The Won´s administration are the ones who have introduced race into this conversation, and it is serving as a distraction from the real issue here.

However, I have to wonder if the administration would be equally nonchalant about the terrorist attack had the victims not been white males.

About time and very welcome.

Endless cries of racism are directed at the plantation dwellers in the demonrat party.

Anyone with a shred of intelligence knows this is a deliberate misdirection.

Much more is being covered up here than who changed the wording of a memo. The questions we need answers to are:

1. Who gave the order to send help?

2. Who gave the order for the planes carrying the held to land somewhere and stand down?

In my opinion, the President and the Secretary of State did not want any attention called to the fact that terrorism still exists. They believed that end was best served by allowing the attack to kill off our people quickly and then the claim could be made that nothing could have been done. We would never have known that the cause was not the video. We would never have known that they called for help, were told help was coming, and then withdrew it without warning them of what no help was coming and it would be useless to use that radar pointer.

Unfortunately, for their plan our people put up a seven hour fight.

Like the cowardly palestinians that hide behind women and children, any democrat criticism is met with a shield of race, gender, and class cards.

Rice isas a well-known incompetant. During most of her time at the UN, she has been a no-show.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Backed by throngs of chanting supporters, dozens of liberal demonstrators are subjecting themselves to arrest each Monday at the state legislature here to protest a flurry of bills that could transform North Carolina into a model of conservative governance. The state’s hard turn to the right comes less than five years after people took to the streets here to celebrate the 2008 victory of Barack Obama, the first Democratic presidential candidate to capture the state since Jimmy Carter in 1976. The win prompted Obama’s supporters to crow about the growing influence of progressive

BEIRUT — The leader of the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah on Saturday defiantly defended sending his fighters to support President Bashar al-Assad’s army in neighboring Syria and proclaimed that they would be victorious. Hasan Nasrallah’s televised address provided the clearest public acknowledgment to date that his men are fighting alongside Assad’s troops and will continue to do so. As he spoke, Hezbollah and government forces were escalating an assault on the strategically important Syrian town of Qusair. A staunch ally of Iran as well as Assad, Hezbollah has deepened its involvement in Syria’s two-year-old civil war in recent weeks

UPDATE: Perry responds to SB 346 veto: “Freedom of association and freedom of speech are two of our most important rights enshrined in the Constitution. My fear is that SB 346 would have a chilling effect on both of those rights in our democratic political process. While regulation is necessary in the administration of Texas political finance laws, no regulation is tolerable that puts anyone’s participation at risk or that can be used by any government, organization or individual to intimidate those who choose to participate in our process through financial means. The latest reporting in the matter of Fox News Channel’s James Rosen indicates the Obama administration fought to keep the search warrant for Rosen’s private email account secret, arguing that the government might need to monitor the account for a lengthy period of time. Thank you, Ryan Lizza. And one more thing. Despite Eric Holder’s his protestations of ignorance regarding the Rosen matter, NBC reports that Holder himself authorized the warrant application. Hmmm. Does that mean he might not have been entirely forthcoming about the matter in his testimony

He was 81. The Washington Post reported he died at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. In a statement to the Post newsroom, Managing Editor Kevin Merida said Johnson died of a heart attack. Johnson was awarded a Pulitzer in 1966 for national reporting on the civil rights struggle in Selma, Ala., while with The Evening Star in Washington. He spent

The FBI has arrested a San Antonio man on charges he lied to get into the United States and tried to get a sensitive Defense Department position. Wissam Allouche, 44, appeared for an initial hearing Friday afternoon, and shook his head when U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad read the charges leveled in a federal indictment. The judge ordered him held pending a bail hearing and his arraignment Tuesday. “He allegedly tried to cover up his affiliation with Hezbollah,” said special agent Erik Vasys, spokesman for the FBI in San Antonio. “It is believed

The press must have
the ability to ask questions
Washington Post, by Editorial    Original Article

A FREE press in a democracy demands a delicate balance. The First Amendment means the media must have the right to inquire without hindrance. The government has a legitimate interest in keeping some national security information secret. When these come into conflict, the balance often has been struck this way: The media are free to pursue secrets, but it is up to those in government to keep them. When the media come into possession of information that, if disclosed, could be damaging, the government can plead the case for secrecy — and the media generally are open to persuasion.

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

The murder of a soldier in south London on Wednesday has prompted fears of a backlash against British Muslims after the English Defence League staged an impromptu rally in the capital and two mosques were attacked. The BNP leader, Nick Griffin, has also reacted to the killing with provocative tweets calling for a protest in Woolwich and claiming the crime is the result of "mass immigration". Farooq Murad of the Muslim Council of Britain said the EDL´s rally in London on Wednesday night was cause for concern.
