Of course secession is an option. But it cannot be an option because Republicans can´t win the White House anymore. Dems will come back and say "Yes, we are taking money from your state, but look at the Washington money that goes back to your state."

No succession is an option because of massive election fraud. We are entitled to free and open elections. We don´t have that. And the DOJ will never allow it.

In our present voting system, I don´t believe that a Republican will ever be elected to the White House again. The voting machines resemble what goes on in a Third World country.

People are writing as if secession was resolved by argument and debate. Wrong. It was resolved by the side that had more men and guns.

I´ve been meaning to read up on Jefferson Davis´s biography just out of curiosity of how he made things tick back then.Too bad Wickedpedia is a bad place to start.

Read the Declaration of Independence all the way thru. Many of the examples listed as grievences back in the day are present once again under this administration.

Secession & revolution are never the same!!
Our war was the "War for Independence" not the "Revolutionary War". Revolution is never good (French history for example) & neither is Anarchy. The issue is FREEDOM you know like our 1st Amendment!! Actually if the South had won the "War Between the States"(war was not civil) the West would not exist. Manifest Destiny was controlled by God not man. Authority without freedom is tyranny - freedom without authority is anarchy so do we now have both?

If the Confederacy had won the Civil war, we would have seen a century of Free Trade and explosive growth absent the deadening hand of the ever expanding Federal Government. Slavery would still have ended within a few decades as mechanized farming and newly adjacent states without a cooperating Fugitive Slave law would have made slaves too expensive to hold.

In fact, the Confederate states would probably have rejoined the economically depressed Union states at that point, but with a few changes to the Constitution further restricting the power of the Federal Government.

Without a strong central government, we would not likely have entered into World War I, would not have created the Income Tax, nor the Welfare State. In short -- we would be far ahead of where we are now.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 15:
"provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;"
Insurrections can be put down. However........

If a state can secede Without insurrection, the 9th and 10th Amendments would apply. One assumes this would be by vote of the residents of such state.
