Hillary Clinton meets with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in effort to halt Israeli offensive as Egyptian presi- dent says peace in Gaza is ´imminent´ and predicts ceasefire will begin today Daily Mail [UK], by James Nye, Beth Stebner
Hilary Clinton arrived in Jerusalem Tuesday evening in an effort to end the week-old convulsion of violence that has gripped the volatile region, pressing on with efforts to wring an elusive deal from Israel and Gaza´s militant Hamas rulers to halt the latest violence tearing the region apart. On Wednesday morning, Clinton will head to the West Bank. Speaking alongside Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Secretary of State promised to work with Israel ´toward an outcome that bolsters security for the people of Israel, improves conditions for the people of Gaza, and moves toward a comprehensive peace for all
Egypt has figured out that Hamas needs to reload, and so calls for a ceasefire, making it Israel´s fault if fighting continues. Hillary the Benghazi Bee-otch runs to Israel to deliver a stern lecture with the hope of smoothing things over so she and Bubbah, and Michelle and Barack, can have a nice Thanksgiving.
You have all these left wingers saying the US needs to withdraw from world affairs and it´s not our job to be the world´s police. The UN proved to be totally useless in the Syrian conflict,so I guess we´re supposed to rely on them to fix other world problems.
Obama sending Hillary there was nothing but a sideshow, nothing has changed since Obama´s empowerment of radical Islam in the region.
I think you still have hardliners in the Egyptian military that are against big islam taking them over, otherwise they may be part of the invasion force.
Mubarak is still hanging on despite being near death, not that long ago.He could still be controlling parts of Egypt from his "death bed".
This war is centuries old and will not end because of Hillary. The Palestinians will fight as long as there is a Jew left alive and as long as their money lasts. They are the useful idiots for all those who hate Israel.

Along with no. 1´s recognition of the old commie let´s negotiate/reload trick, we also realize that we are seeing that Israel has hurt Hamas badly. Many will call their efforts ineffective because that´s what the Israel haters always say. But today´s events show otherwise.
Noticed the body language between Hillary and Bibi in a short film clip. No love lost there. It looked to me like Bibi wanted to slap Hillie into next week. She was her usual scowling self. My money´s on Bibi. Of course the Israelis have the most to lose. Bibi is not stupid. He knows who he can trust and it ain´t this administration.
I thought Joe Biden knew Bebe intimately and talked with him frequently. Old buddies, per Joe Biden. Bebe should give Hillary the same treatment he gets in DC. Let her come and go through the back door.
Why did 91 heads of state and 71 so-called eminent persons fly from all the corners of the earth to attend Nelson Mandela’s memorial service on Tuesday? Most of them will doubtless have wanted to pay their respects to one of the great men of our age. [Snip] There can be jokes and laughter. But there is no room for larking about, especially if you are one of the leaders of the Free World. Larking about may scarcely cover the behaviour of President Barack Obama, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Prime Minister of Denmark, and our own David Cameron during the memorial service.
The handshake seen ´round the water cooler was no fluke, it turns out. When President Barack Obama approached the podium at Nelson Mandela´s memorial service and made a beeline for a row of foreign leaders--stopping first to shake Cuban dictator Raúl Castro´s hand--it came after representatives from the two historically antagonistic nations had already been in talks for six months. ´[B]ehind the scenes,´ two Daily Beast national security reporters wrote on Tuesday, ´U.S. and Cuban officials have held midlevel discussions in Havana and Washington on a range of issues, including direct postal service, migration issues, disaster response, and search and
Are you a Fomo sapiens? Judging by his behaviour at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service, Barack Obama is a member of this new sub-species. So is our own Prime Minister, who should know better. The “Fomo” stands for Fear of Missing Out, a defining characteristic of a generation with itchy thumbs and short attention spans. Fomo sapiens cannot leave its phones, tablets or laptops alone, no matter how inappropriate the occasion. Checking your texts or updating your Facebook status during a funeral, for instance, or taking a happy-snap of yourself with a couple of mates during a memorial service. Those, I
The depressing news that Britain and the US have been forced to suspend assistance to the Syrian rebels effectively sounds the death knell for any remaining hope the moderate Syrian opposition may have entertained of defeating the Assad regime. As I have been warning for some months now, the Syrian opposition is now effectively in the hands of al-Qaeda and other hardline Islamist groups, which have a very different agenda to the secular-led Free Syrian Army (FSA), which has received the backing of Western powers since the country´s brutal civil war erupted nearly three years. The assistance provided by countries
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius struggled to fend off the latest round of barbs in a Capitol Hill hearing on Wednesday, following revelations that fewer than 365,000 Americans have enrolled for medical insurance through government-run marketplaces--including a federal website that will ultimate cost $677 million. [Snip] But as of Nov. 30, just over 137,200 Americans had chosen insurance policies through the perennially afflicted healthcare.gov. And nearly another 227,500 enrolled through the 14 state-run insurance exchanges, whose websites have experienced fewer problems. That puts the government about 835,000 enrollments--or 70 percent--behind its intermediate target.
NASA ground control is scrambling to fix an ´urgent situation´ on the International Space Station after a cooling system failed with six astronauts aboard. NASA reported the problem about 5.45pm EST after the integral system stopped working. Initial reports indicate the crew of the $150billion space lab are safe. However, an emergency space walk may be necessary to repair the coolant leak, NBC News reports. Two Americans are among the six crew members. They are Rick Mastraccio, a 53-year-old mission specialist with a background in engineering, and Mike Hopkins, a 44-year-old U.S. Air Force Colonel. Also aboard are Russians Mikhail Tyurin, Oleg Kotov and
Google is already heavily criticised for trying to know almost everything about us, and now the firm wants to get inside our homes, literally. Engineering director Scott Huffman told The Independent that in his vision of the future Google users would have microphones fitted inside their homes. Huffman envisages houses with microphones fitted to the ceiling that act like personal assistants; responding to voice queries and connecting to phones, tablets and other smart devices. He said: ‘Imagine I say ‘Can you bring up a video of the highlights of yesterday’s Pittsburgh Steelers game and play it on a TV in the living room?’ and it works
When I was a kid, I knew two different Santa Clauses. The first had a fat belly, rosy cheeks, a long white beard, and skin as pink as bubble gum. He was omnipresent, visiting my pre-school and the local mall, visible in all of my favorite Christmas specials. Then there was the Santa in my family’s household, in the form of ornaments, cards, and holiday figurines. A near-carbon copy of the first one—big belly, rosy cheeks, long white beard: check, check, check. But his skin was as dark as mine. Seeing two different Santas was bewildering. Eventually I asked my father what
US President Barack Obama may have moved the masses attending Nelson Mandela’s memorial service with his stirring eulogy, but it was his grinning "selfie" with the Danish and British premiers that set social networks abuzz. In a candid moment captured by a photographer, Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt can be seen holding up her smartphone, with Obama lending a helping hand, as they pose for a picture with David Cameron, all three of them smiling broadly in their seats at Soweto’s World Cup stadium.(Snip)Mashable, the news and technology website, ran the photograph under the headline: ‘‘Dear Obama: Funerals are no place
New York — The anchor who might beat Bill O’Reilly gets her eyelash extensions applied one at a time, with tweezers and dabs of glue, about 90 minutes before showtime, right after a motorized gun sprays foundation over her face, neck, shoulders, collarbone and sternum, wiping out a galaxy of light freckles that spreads across her — Let me stop you right there. Photos of the day Uruguay legalizes marijuana, Kiev police pull back from protesters, aging U.S. prison population and more. Tuesday´s Photos of the day Would you write this way about a man? About O’Reilly himself? At least that’s what Megyn Kelly might ask at
Johannesburg - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela´s memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday. Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa´s government said it was preparing a statement. Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages. South African sign language covers all of the country´s 11 official languages, according to the federation. It wasn´t immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) snapped at conservative groups that have come out in opposition to the budget deal reached Wednesday between Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). "They´re using the American people for their own purposes. This is ridiculous," Boehner said at a press conference with other members of House Republican leadership on Wednesday. Over the past few days, a number of conservative groups have blasted the deal because it sets discretionary spending levels in the budget higher than previous levels under sequestration. In the past three days, the influential Heritage Action, Club for Growth, Americans
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f----t!”
In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended
