| The former Republican Secretary of State of Connecticut has criticized The Hartford Courant for what she calls “the height of hypocrisy.” Pauline R. Kezer wrote a letter to the editor in which she slams the news outlet for a recent editorial that depicts one-party rule as “unhealthy.” Ironically, the editorial board’s article came after only endorsing Democrat candidates in the general election. A Courant editorial today laments the fact that there are now no Republican members of Congress from New England, and goes on to say that we had some good Republican candidates who ran. We have an extreme liberal Democrat House which hails from New England, New York and California.
California and NY make up 30% of all Democrats in Congress. Nearly 1/3 from just 2 states.
So, while claiming all sorts of diversity, the party is still run by white liberals (Pelosi, Hoyer and DWS in the House, and Reid, Durbin and Schumer in the Senate).
And since only 20% of the population identifies themselves as liberal that means the Democrat agenda is not supported by 80% of the population.

We here in Arkyland finally threw off the last tentacles of one party rule We now have a true two party system with one party on the defensive(Socialist). And it is wonderful! What use to be assured tax increases and gooberenment give aways is over. We once would have been the first state to complete suck in Obambi´s healthcare plan. Now our Socialist goobernor has to defer cause our Rebublican Legislature has made it clear they will not fund it. It is so refreshing to have a state goobernment that no longer implements unrestrained socialism.

A religious group spewing what the owners of One Liberty Place call hate speech against women, whites and gays can no longer demonstrate immediately outside the building´s entrance at 16th and Chestnut Streets, a judge ruled today. The owners of One Liberty Place in Center City Philadelphia filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge. WASHINGTON — Schoolchildren from New Jersey shore communities battered by Superstorm Sandy will join Michelle Obama for a garden harvest next week. The White House says the first lady will also be joined Tuesday by students who helped plant the crops last month. The New Jersey students are from Union Beach Memorial School in Union Beach and Long Beach Island Grade School in Ship Bottom. Both schools were damaged in last October’s storm. TRENTON — President Barack Obama will return to New Jersey on Tuesday to survey Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts with Gov. Chris Christie, according to a statement obtained by The Star-Ledger. The visit will mark Obama´s second trip to the shore since the storm hit about six months ago. “As residents and businesses prepare for a busy summer season, President Obama will visit the Jersey Shore with Governor Christie on Tuesday to view the ongoing recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy devastated areas of the coastline last fall," the White House statement says.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

Longoria, 38, took home a real degree (not an honorary one) in Chicano studies from Cal State Northridge, where she physically attended classes for three years, according to TMZ. "Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my master´s degree in Chicano studies! What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
