| A ceasefire between Hamas and Israel will be announced tonight, almost a week after the assassination of Hamas´ top military commander led to the worst violence between Gaza and Israel in four years. Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum told ABC News the news would be announced at 8 p.m. in Cairo (1 p.m. ET), where Egypt has been trying to broker a peace deal. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Egyptian mediator would make the announcement, Barhoum said. Earlier, an Islamic Jihad website reported that the ceasefire would go into effect at 9 p.m. local time.

I´ve started an office pool. Guess the date when hostilities will resume. All squares for the rest of November and December are already sold.

I read that far and decided the article was not worth reading. I have a policy of not believing anything a liar tells me.

Hamas ran out of rockets. Also, thanks to the IDF and Iron Dome, the ratio of dead Hamas commanders to dead Israeli civilians wound up a lot more imbalanced than they expected.
Re #2: I expect the Israelis will use the cease fire to do their own reloading and retargeting in preparation for when Hamas starts up again.

Not to be believed. Israel gave them the Gaza strip and they were supposed to be peaceful after they got what they wanted. They lie, they are not to be believed.

This will not last long. If hamass has one rocket left, they will fire it and Israel will go back to work.
It is very worrisome that the ceasefire is brokered by the muzzie-brohood of Egypt. They are no more trustworthy than hamass.

I recently put Debbie Schlussel´s web site back on my favs., and she said that Israel would cave and agree to another useless cease fire. To those who don´t know Debbie, she is a conservative Jewish lawyer from the Detroit area who very much dislikes rino repubs.

How much of a bribe is Hillary paying Hamas. If Netanyahu agrees to this he´s done. Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have been attacked, it´s not just the south anymore. Israeli´s will turn on him.

This just means that Israel was winning big and everyone put pressure on them to stop. Israel is always forced to stop when it is winning big. Unfortunately they don´t seem to be prepared to put together a decisive, swift victory that happens before they can be forced to stop. But it´s clear that if there is a cease fire they were forced to stop because they were winning; nobody would force Hamas to stop, and Hamas would never stop, if it was winning.

Some people never learn. They refuse to learn. They prefer fantasy to reality. They are called liberals. Almost everything they believe about the way the world works and how human beings think and act is wrong, often the exact opposite of the truth. But all of their schemes and plans for the betterment of society and the world are grounded upon these fundamental misconceptions, which are nothing more than fantasies and wishful thinking. Therefore their projects can never hope to succeed as they wish and are far more likely to cause new and unnecessary problems, the nature of which they will similarly fail to understand, and the remedies they apply therefore being more likely to compound than to alleviate such unintended consequences. They never learn. I believe that this is in most cases willful. They are not -most of them- stupid. Neither are they -most of them- insane. They simply reject reality in favor of fantasy. It is perhaps no accident that so many of them are crusaders for marijuana, for that and certain other illicit drugs tend to induce states favorable to fantasy thinking. But by no means are all of them potheads. They just do not care for reality and are not going to deal with it if they can help it.

Good luck. Which side gets to shoot back first? I´ll give you three guesses; while Israel is abiding by the cease fire, Hamas will fire everything it´s got and so will Iran.
This cease fire will last exactly five, four, three....

Now that the race for Virginia’s next governor has kicked into high gear, NBC News’ Chief White House Correspondent has decided to be partisan and sharply criticized the Republican ticket. On his May 20 edition of The Daily Rundown, the MSNBC anchor hammered the GOP’s nominee for Virginia Lieutenant Governor, African-American pastor E.W. Jackson, as extreme and someone who “might make Todd Akin look like a moderate.” "Can the GOP win in 2013 with a ticket of candidates who are best known for being very conservative and very outspoken on social issues?" Todd rhetorically asked before playing several clips

As Congress and the public struggle to comprehend the scandals rocking the Obama administration, it is important not to overlook a common thread linking all of the misconduct: the administration’s paranoia that voters would see it as weak on national defense. For having the temerity to raise questions about U.S. policy toward terrorists and Iran, Israel and North Korea, the Obama IRS targeted a non-partisan group with which I am affiliated and illegally leaked its confidential information. The White House’s paranoia about public perceptions of foreign threats also drove its scandalous surveillance of Associated Press (AP) reporters.

NORFOLK -This was supposed to be the week when thousands of free-spending Norfolk sailors were to descend on lower Manhattan, where New Yorkers promised to shower them with gifts, drinks and kisses. But the annual party on the Hudson River was canceled. Fleet Week New York – like all the Navy’s big community outreach events this year – fell victim to sweeping federal budget cuts. Most of the sailors who would have been treated to free baseball tickets and complimentary subway rides instead will spend the week idling in Hampton Roads traffic and reporting for duty at Norfolk Naval Station.

Anne E. Marimow of the Washington Post alerts fellow MSMers and the public that the DoJ´s AP scandal might be the tip of the iceberg, and that in spying on the press, the Justice Department "did more than obtain telephone records of a working journalist." She offers readers "a rare glimpse into the inner workings of one such [leak] probe" with "striking similarities to a sweeping leaks investigation disclosed last week in which federal investigators obtained records over two months of more than 20 telephone lines assigned to the Associated Press." The fact that the target was

With approximately one-third of congressional committees preoccupied with investigating Obama corruption – from Benghazi-gate, to the IRS scandal, to Obamacare propaganda – the First Family might be tempted to escape to some far away location for vacation. As Judicial Watch knows all too well, this is something the Obamas have done with some frequency since taking office in 2009, and largely on the taxpayers’ dime. JW has been the leading investigative force on the Obama’s taxpayer-funded luxury trips, using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to get ahold of records about the costs of this abuse

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration’s efforts to raise private money to carry out the president’s health care law have provoked such a strong partisan uproar that potential donors have become skittish about contributing, according to several people involved in the fund-raising program. White House officials said they did not sign off on the fund-raising calls made by Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of health and human services, but were generally aware that she would be seeking support from outside groups. Two House committees have begun investigating the solicitations. Five senior Republicans from the Senate and the House

Fire-breathing political advocates from the both sides of America´s political divide have issued new calls for Barack Obama to fire his attorney general, Eric Holder. LIberal radio show host Bill Press weighed in on the air Friday, and then in a series of tweets, while Texas Senator John Cornyn put a target on Holder´s back during a Sunday television appearance. ´I think it’s past time for him to go and for the president to appoint somebody who the public can have confidence in,´ the ultra-conservative Cornyn said on the CBS show Face The Nation. ´You know, I´ve lost confidence

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You are the mantle of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:
