| LONDON - Amnesty International workers in London walked off the job on Tuesday for the second strike in as many months in an embarrassing setback for an organization that campaigns for the rights of workers and is considered one of the world´s pre-eminent human rights advocates. The walkouts are a public airing of staff complaints that have been building for years, with tensions rising dramatically in recent weeks as Amnesty´s international operations prepare to re-organize. The changes include transferring some of its 500 jobs from a centralized London base to 10 regional hubs around the world

Funny, many are outraged at the prospect of jobs being moved from London to regions where violations are ongoing. Seems the posers are somewhat lacking when real efforts and sacrifices must be made.

An almost poerfect Liberal ponzi scheme. According to the article total donations for 2011 907000 Pounds. Total (minimum) salary out put for the 44 positions mentioned 2,860,000 Pounds. Or in economic terms their burn rate is 3.2 times their accounts receivable. This organization is bankrupt (in more ways than one).
Why would anyone donate a dime to these people, with administrative overhead taking 400% of donations you would do much better burning your money for heat.

WASHINGTON -- One of the two women who videotaped allegations that New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez paid her for sex has said in an affidavit that she was paid to make the story up, according to a report Monday in the Washington Post. The woman also said she has never met nor seen the Democratic senator, the Post reported, citing court documents and two people briefed on her claim. Instead, in an affidavit she said she and a colleague were paid by a lawyer to make up the claims and read from a script, according to the Post.

Dying is effortless. That became clear to me as I lay on a gurney in an emergency department bay at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. It was 10 p.m., almost five hours since my primary-care physician Michael Cirigliano (better known as Dr. Mike from Fox29) diagnosed me as septic, bundled me into his car, and rushed me to the hospital. An 80-year-old woman was knocked off her scooter when she tried to fight off a man robbing her of her purse in Gloucester City. Police allege that 22-year-old John E. Reed approached the woman from behind while she was riding her electric scooter on the 500 block of Cumberland Street at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday. Reed grabbed the woman´s purse and tried to flee, but the woman wouldn´t let go, according to Gloucester City police. He then pushed the woman, knocking her off the scooter, and ran away with the purse.

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
