| OKLAHOMA CITY –A federal judge Monday rejected Hobby Lobby Stores Inc.´s request to block part of the federal health care overhaul that requires the arts and craft supply company to provide insurance coverage for the morning-after and week-after birth control pills. In a 28-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton denied a request by Hobby Lobby to prevent the government from enforcing portions of the health care law mandating insurance coverage for contraceptives the company´s Christian owners consider objectionable. The Oklahoma City-based company and a sister company, Mardel Inc., sued the government in September, claiming the mandate violates

Not a religious organization? They´re a business that is owned and operated by people and people have religious convictions. It used to be that the state respected their right to hold and exercise those beliefs. What this Judge is saying is that the state not the individual gets to decide when and if religious convictions really exist.

I have been thinking about how we avoid civil war, a revolution, or seccessions. Before all that, our states need to pull back some of their powers they´ve handed to the federal government. The Federal government is already beyond bankrupt, with no hope of ever repaying all they owe in our names without our consent. Start with the land they´ve taken. It must go back to the states or be sold at auction. The federal government can pass many insane laws (and God knows they already have), but they cannot enforce it all. That part is an illusion.

Business need to UNITE and fight this. All corporations who DO NOT want Obama care micro-managing the healthcare that they have for their employees, need to turn the tables.

We feed the beast with our tax money. They use Our tax money to defeat us. We´re funding our own demise. Let´s all do our best to starve the beast . They use our law-abiding ways to their advantage. Laughing at us all the way.
I no longer feel it in my best interest to abide by laws meant to destroy me. It is immoral to steal and, it´s also immoral to receive stolen goods. I´ll always remain a moral and decent person but I no longer can abide by being their chump.

I love Hobby Lobby here in Oklahoma. They, like Chic-fila, are closed on Sundays. I plan to support them with my business as much as I can.
I agree, if they were a Muslim owned company, they would not have had to go to court. Zero would have given them a waiver.

What do you do when your base is angry about Guantanamo? I guess that you promise to close it again. You also blame Congress for not giving you the money to do it. The problem is that it was a Congress controlled by Democrats that did not provide the funding. What about drones? You promise that we will "drone" more carefully from now on. Let´s hope that the terrorists will cooperate by keeping children away from them. What about tapping reporters phones? You say that it was about national security and because that "darn Congress"

The emergency operating room where doctors tried to save President Kennedy´s life after he was shot has been broken into pieces and covertly stored in crates for years, guarded as if it were a state secret. As the 50th anniversary in November of the President´s assassination nears, an investigative team from local Dallas station WFAA went digging for the exact location of the broken tiles and medical equipment used on that fateful day. They found that the room was formally destroyed in 1972 when Parkland Hospital was going through an expansion and Trauma Room 1 had to be demolished.

Every Memorial Day, when I run into the grocery store to pick up those last minute items for the three day weekend’s picnic, I’m met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) selling their poppies. We cherish, too, the poppy red/ that grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies/that blood of heroes never dies-- “We Shall Keep the Faith” by Moina Michael -I remember as a kid that it was very common to see paper poppies being sold around Memorial Day. You could even go to the post office and purchase one

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have reversed their longstanding membership guidelines to allow homosexuals to join the organization. Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

The murder of a soldier in south London on Wednesday has prompted fears of a backlash against British Muslims after the English Defence League staged an impromptu rally in the capital and two mosques were attacked.
